What I liked most about this software was its ease of use and implementation.

For Debian/Ubuntu maybe a little tricky; the configuration interface maybe hard at glance because is for general purpose along all the program.

Interface web is really good, not requiered too many knowledge to get report and graphs.

Plus they still offer their Open Source Community Edition, which is great to just explore the software or use it on medium sized infrastructures. Really, even if it's open source it's quite powerful.

Very good, because I need it every day, it helps me a lot, I like it very much.

I prefer used this tools because its to good for initiators in this world of monitoring servers,routers,etc and it is easy to notification with chats online (slack).

It was very intuitive and easy to use. We loved how it saved up-to 20mins of time doing repetitive tasks each day/week.

Quickly see the status of all my printers, switch, computers, virtual machines to know if any system has fallen.

Its difficult to add agent to console and migrate to upper version.

The software tends to overwork the system and overload the core. In doing so it slows the network and operating systems of the computers being monitored.

I just recently discovered Pandora FMS a few years back and am surprised how far its come along in terms of development and integrations.

Their capability to get integrated and connected to over 500 plugins is just amazing and highly admirable as no other competitors is close to them.

It helps my job to be more proactive instead of reactive, I have all the visibility of my critical infrastructure.

We can detect every posible problem before it happens.

And  the life cycle seems to be very short. But you get what you pay.

Very slow learning curve, it is difficult to get hold of the environment. Many very messy options, with similar names.

As an IT consultant for medium and large businesses I always recommend it as a less costly alternative to Zabbix or Nagios, since it provides the same features and more at a much lesser price.

When it comes to user interface, it is very user friendly and  easy to understand. It also has good reporting system, Realtime monitoring and alarming system.

But, as a standard tool, with the Community Version (unpaid), it is already very powerful if you take time to configure properly.

I personally use the Enterprise Edition because of some additional features it has compared to the Community version, but I'd still recommend any of both as solutions for your everyday monitoring.

However, some users may find the software complex and may require a significant amount of time to master.

As a personal user, I agree that it's a great monitoring solution in general it includes a more than decent amount of features and integrations, even in its community edition.

The experience has been fantastic from the first moment, easy to contact the manufacturer, open dialogues. Software that does what it says.

Adding agents can be cumbersome, and sometimes there is a tendency of the software to slow the network, both I have heard are common complaints.

The general feeling that Pandora FMS transmits is of robustness, at no time do you have the feeling that something is missing or that some module can do something else.

The best thing about working with pandora FMS is the amazing support. If there ever is a game breaking bug introduced.

Cons: I miss some templates by default to start monitoring as soon as possible.

In its latest version we can see how its ease of use and general development have been improved upon largely.

The platform has a great feel to it and I love how they are always looking to improve the platform. I appreciate the evolution of features and how open the company is to listen to suggestions.

It has been a solid experience backed with support by Pandora FMS team and the community. Customization was simple with the module library.

What bothers me most when I use the application are the many pop-up ads, as they are so many that they hinder my use of the application.

Very easy to use and intuitive. Very easy to start monitoring.

The software has free updates which is awesome and the community board is very helpful. I would recommend this product to any IT environment that is looking for network monitoring solution.

The thing that I like least about the software is the inability of the administrator to manage other users views. And the lack of an anonymous view.

I have this on all my switch and SCADA network, on the switch I can break to see performance monitoring Switch interfaces, Utilization, Memory and CPU pretty simply, grouping is also a nice feature.

WUG is the best solution we have found for the price we are able to pay.

We haven't needed to utilize product support more than a couple of times, and they were very responsive and helpful when needed.

The UI and UX is terrible. The dashboards you can create are extremely limiting.

Adding non-default alerts seem to be a little more difficult than should be.

Ive used this product over 20 years. The last five years has seen this product grow and stabilize, with very good customer service.

Netflow integration, alert notifications,  ease of use.

When services fail, or if a machine crashes, we're notified quickly.

Goes without saying that it is easy to implement, intuitive and easy to manage. Dashboards and  views are.

Number of bugs and unending ads and pop up either up or down part of the application, which can be annoying and disturbing.

Great Value and ease of use for what we use it for.

It is hard to update the changed info. Also too hard to manage notifications.

Luckily he came up with the same results. I was able to display the same information (add more) on the big screen with WUG vs Solarwinds, so the CIO agreed to switch.

Out of the box it was easy to implement and provided much more clarity and features. It provides me with a proactive approach for when any monitored device hits a predetermined threshold.

An administrator should be able to back up the daily or weekly activities of his team for review but such feature is missing.

WhatsUp Gold works great for monitoring end points and alerting when they are out.

It integrates well with PagerDuty and covers the bulk of our monitoring needs.

I have had positive experiences with WhatsUpGold. The sales staff and tech support are friendly and knowledgeable.

Failed to recognize ios changes on our switches from ios 12 to 15. I had to remove the devices completely and add them back.

I use this product all day long, it is fantastic and quick to shows us when devices on our network are up or down.

Its great, really easy to use and allows IT to be more proactive about their environment. Its nicely displayed in our team area on a digital NOC.

Wonderful product and reasonably priced compared to other commercial solutions.

The thing that we liked the most about the software was the ease with onboarding this product and having it start to monitor our core infrastructure pieces.
