By creating templates we use it to get dynamic inventories for Ansible instead of static addresses. Cons: Complexity, and sometimes there's some network-related setup that is not easy to detect that will make Consul to not work properly, and in such cases it is very difficult to determine the root cause Reasons for choosing HashiCorp Consul At the moment of implementing Service Discovery, it was the best solution for an on-premises setup.
