TrueSight Pulse is a cloud-based network monitoring solution designed for cloud-based applications and offering features such as agentless AWS CloudWatch monitoring, real-time streaming visualization and third-party integrations. Businesses can monitor applications hosted on public and private clouds via a single dashboard.

TrueSight Pulse automatically discovers all AWS CloudWatch services and their supporting resources for live monitoring. Users can also set key metric alarms for their network and visualize network performance data with graphs and charts. The interactive dashboard allows users to monitor core network metrics such as CPU performance, memory allocation, disk space and ping check. Users can also configure dashboards to monitor a combination of metrics or perform ad-hoc network diagnostics.

TrueSight Pulse can be deployed on physical and virtual infrastructures including AWS, OpenStack, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Linux, Windows and MacOS devices. The solution can integrate with third-party applications such as Docker, Chef, Forkrate, Flowdock and AWS service.

A great monitoring tool to see what's happening with your applications!

We can report availability for our applications, troubleshoot issues and trends in our requests and responses.

Pros

This is a great product to delve into issues and customer requests, to see user sessions, and the end user's experience!

Cons

We have an older version of this product and it is not able to decrypt TLS connections that use Forward Secrecy.

we have used pulse on customer systems to monitor end user performance

Pros

Very easy to setup and get running, footprint is very low and easy of use is a bonus, product is very customizable and has its own development environment, product allows actual real use performance to be captured for HTTP protocols, we use it for monitoring end user performance, it is easily able to identify performance problems.

Cons

Product requires more features and maturity, this will come with version 2.0 i have been told which has many more metrics for End User Monitoring

Crappy tool

Tried Boundary for small envy with many problems. Poor Linux distro support and Windows install of the agent was highly problematic.
