About Norton AntiVirus

Norton Security is an identity protection and anti-virus solution that helps businesses protect mobile devices, desktops and data from unauthorized access, ransomware, malware and other hack attempts via a unified portal. Its privacy monitoring functionality allows users to scan and block various data broker websites from gathering personal information like date of birth, contact number or address.

Norton Security offers a host of features such as dark web monitoring, cloud data backup, remote learning, data encryption and more. It includes a password manager, which enables administrators to generate, and store complex passwords in a secure online vault. Additionally, users can utilize the built-in virtual private network (VPN) to securely browse the internet on share or public connections.

It got a little better over the years

Pros:

It does what it's supposed to do, runs in the background and catches the viruses that I forget may be lurking

Still seems to be a heavy burden on the CPU still but it seems that it is an improvement from a couple years ago

Norton might be more expensive for multiple licenses but it’s offers robust protection

Overall Norton is a solid and trusted name in the antivirus space and one that does what it says and does it well. It has great support and the extras besides just the antivirus make it a pretty robust product.

Pros:

Norton Antivirus has really good support and a robust virus protection promise. If you’re looking for top of the line protection for your computer or phone then Norton is a great option. With an online backup and storage to back up your files securely it is a all in one protection for your hardware and your digital files. There are also a lot of add on features to just the antivirus you can purchase to ensure that work hand in hand with Norton like the VON or identity theft protection.

Cons:

The only drawback to this is the price and the prices inability to use the Licence on more than one PC so if you have more than one PC it can get pretty pricey for this software.

Great antivirus software with annoying pop-ups.

Overall quite happy with it for my team, not as resource-intensive as it used to be, however the pop-ups are an annoyance.

Quality Product

Overall I was highly pleased with Norton AntiVirus Products I have used over the years. They have been easy to install and upgrade or update yearly. They always worked seamlessly and updated constantly to catch any possible virus. I have never had an issue and it did catch a couple of viruses and stopped them from infecting my computer.

It did not slow my computer down when it was running. It ran in the background, so I never could tell when it was running, ie: it didn't interrupt me or interfere with anything I was doing. I never had a virus come thru when I was using it. It updated automatically without my help or me knowing. It worked seamlessly.

Cons:

If I had a concern, it was for most of the above reasons above. It worked so quietly I didn't know it was working. Occasionally I would get nervous that it stopped working, and I would open it up just to check and make sure.

I was not pleased with the other products features and how it affected the speed of my computer.

A reliable antivirus software

Norton has been my go to antivirus program for years, going back as far as my childhood when my father worked in IT and installed it on our home computers.

Norton works well at detecting potential threats and is easy to install. There is also a web extension for Google Chrome which is an added layer of security.

Cons:

The cost may be prohibitive for some users. Occasionally it can take an extended period of time to scan for viruses as well.

Have confidence Online

It has made being on line so much safer. I don’t worry as much about being hacked and getting viruses. I get notifications when a site might not be safe. It puts my mind at ease

I love how safe I feel, with the parental controls. Best ones we’ve found. I don’t worry as much who my kids are talking to.

Cons:

It blocks some video appointments on my phone, with my Dr but other than that haven’t found anything.
