Good solution for United Ways
Andar solves the complicated business processes inherent in nonprofits whose business model is built on workplace fundraising, where most contributions are "pledges" from payroll deductions as opposed to "donations" from credit cards, checks and cash. On the other end of the equation is the complex payment processing to "vendors" aka other nonprofit agencies for whom pledges and donations were earmarked by the donor. It's a great solution for the finance, accounting functions.
PROSAndar is purpose-built for core workplace fundraising functionality. It handles pledges, payments and donations equally well. On the flip side it also handles payments to partner agencies better than any other comparable application.
CONSExpensive. Extended features are modular and for additional cost. Clunky, outdated user-interface which non-technical users do not like.
Reasons for switching to Andar/360
Vendor was retiring FMS and Andar was the upgrade path.

Great service but could use some work on the product
I love Andar, specifically for their customer service. They are extremely responsive to issues and have cultivated a support network among users of their software, including an "insiders" round table of sorts to discuss desired enhancements. Everyone on their team is fantastic to work with. As far as the software itself, I think it more appeals to a tech, data, or finance-minded individual and less to someone who is doing fundraising, resource development, or communications, though features to accommodate those job titles do exist in the system. There is just a large disparity between ease of use for one group as opposed to the other.
PROSFor the most part, I like this software. The depth at which there are integrations/modules that can be customized for an organization is rather impressive given the overall cost - there are a lot of similar products that are much more expensive. I love that we were able to select which features we would or would not like to purchase, such as volunteer management, a data policy manager, or electronic giving. We moved to Andar to avoid information being in a series of spreadsheets and to compile it into one database. It's been a slow process but we are finding that Andar has everything that we need it to have, including the ability to utilize SQL for custom components, editing/modifying tables, and easy-to-use data mining operations.
CONSThe new user experience is lacking. Oftentimes, the software is so robust that it can be intimidating for our new users. It is not straightforward or intuitive and lacks the visual appeal of other CRMs. As a data-minded person, I don't mind that it is less visually pleasing, as it does everything that I would need to do on a day-to-day, but we have had internal complaints regarding the visualization features from our resource development team. There are also so many options on how to use the system that it tends to be overwhelming for someone who is new to Andar and it typically takes a few years for a user to feel really confident in the software.
Reason for choosing Andar/360
Ultimately, pricing was the main factor in choosing Andar.
Reasons for switching to Andar/360
We needed a CRM that would house all of our donor management information rather than using multiple programs/sources.

It is used as our data source and there are always multiple ways of obtaining reports and informatio
Access to reports without having to request it from other parties but mostly the customization in the reporting one needs
CONSToo many ways of extracting reports with variable answers which makes me sometimes doubt the data from it. But that might be connected to how it is entered.

I am a heavy Andar user at my organization. Andar is a great product.
Ability to customize lots of electronic pledging and other options.
PROSAndar is a great product with so many functions. The capabilities seem to be endless for resource development, customer management and communications.
CONSBecause there are so many functions, sometimes it can get too cumbersome. The upgrades tend to completely change the way you did things before the upgrades and that can be frustrating. Also the DMO's are not very user friendly, although getting better.
