My overall experience has been extremely positive - I have really nothing bad to say, only a few improvements that could possibly be made. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros I really like how intuitive the online dashboard is. It allows even an inexperienced user to perform advanced functions, see donor information, and more. I also like how responsive the support team is - they had me up and running the very next day, literally within hours. #### Cons I don't like that there aren't many customization features, particularly when it comes to sharing the donation page onto your own website. They try to force you to use the Anedot website to take donations, which I don't like as it takes away from the customization options that should be available. #### Vendor response Jacob, Thank you for taking the time to leave this thoughtful review. Happy to hear you have had a positive experience with Anedot! Anedot has great customer service and is very easily accessible. Great team and product! Best in the business. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros I love the customizable donate pages and the data collection tools. #### Cons I like least the lack of integrations with email marketing opportunities - an integration with mailchimp or another email sender would be a huge asset for campaigns. #### Vendor response Update: Since the time of this review we have added integrations with several email sending platforms including: - SendGrid - Sendy.co - Mailchimp - Klaviyo - Iterable - ActiveCampaign - EmailOctopus - And more! Thank you for the review! Here to help, Paul Dietzel Founder, Anedot Replied December 2019 --- ### A huge headache and no informed customer service - Overall rating: 3/5 - Reviewer: Richard S. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Political Organization - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: April 2022 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. I will quit using them as soon as this campaign is over. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 1/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 2/5 #### Pros Flexibility - you can make a lot of donor forms. #### Cons Documentation is just plain wrong much of the time. The UI can be unbearable. And customer service doesn't know how to do anything except cut and paste the faulty documentation. A miserable experience all around, and you pay extra for it! #### Reasons for choosing Anedot I was informed Anedot was the software everyone was using. Turns out that was incorrect. --- ### Anedot is the best out there for fundraising! team are like family to us. - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Jeremy M. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Political Organization - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years - Reviewed: September 2018 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by the software vendor to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. Very happy that over a year ago we made the switch to Anedot. I'll never forget my first interaction with Anedot. We got a new client at the firm and I noticed he had it instead of the usual ActBlue. I called after-hours to inquire and left a voicemail---the next thing I know the CEO is calling me at night. I felt terrible at first, thinking I hit the wrong number, but he quickly explained he monitored after-hours messages. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Easy to use, quick, and great customer service. Love the chat feature. Everything is just simple. You can resolve most issues without even having to pick up the phone. #### Cons No complaints at the moment---but always anxious for updates and more features. #### Vendor response Jeremy, Thank you for the review. Always happy to hear from a satisfied customer. Great things ahead! If there were a way to insert spending into the application, then campaigns would be saved so much time with one large report rather than having to consolidate. #### Cons I do not like the mobile version of this application. It is not user-friendly and there are not many options. #### Vendor response Norberto, Thank you for taking the time to review Anedot. We appreciate hearing from our customers! I’ve used Anedot with two political campaigns and have found that donors enjoy the security and ease in donating and I can track it all seamlessly. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros The flexiblity and integration with other software tools. It works great with Facebook Pages or just in sharing the link. #### Cons The only downside is the bank’s timeframe for processing the deposits and that is not something Anedot can control. #### Vendor response Jason, Thanks for the review. Glad to hear that your donors feel safe donating with Anedot. Security and donor privacy are some of our top priorities! Great for donations and easily configured to gather required donor information. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Great customer service, easy to set up and add admins and users. You can control multiple accounts from one login. Makes it easy since you only have to set up one user account and then Anedot knows you have worked with them before when you set up another client. #### Cons Can't think of any cons, there are a lot of competitors that advertise more than Anedot, I would say finding them was the difficult part. I looked at other donation sites and found all the companies providing this service then compared their costs. I was pleased to find Anedot also had great service. #### Vendor response Mitch, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're always happy to hear from satisfied Anedot users. I was amazed after my first day using the app and realizing I’d garnered nearly in small donations just through text messages and a post on social media! Anedot allows you to save phone time for the heavy lifting and gives your core donor group the ease of one-click contributions. Total game changer! #### Cons I’m really excited that PayPal has been added on, the next step and hopefully this happens immediately Anedot adds on squarecash capabilities.
