Overall CharityTracker is a great tool for non-profits and I'd recommend the program to anyone who's looking to simplify the way that they keep track of participants, donors, etc.

Our overall experience has been great. The CharityTracker support team is awesome.

After I add a few more cases, the software will keep logging me out again. This has been very frustrating.

I would recommend this for anyone that would like to give and get help giving as well.

What I dislike about this software is that when their  is duplicate accounts it was a difficult process it combine the accounts.

This gives you quick demographic information and fast data that can be useful—a friendly resource to connect you to local grassroots work.

I like the customer support CharityTracker provides, we had some issues with processing some case files and they assisted promptly.

I love the usefulness for our organization that runs a food pantry and works with our community to better help those in need. We want to help people become independent and self-sufficient.

We were not able to keep names of disaster victims associated with the name of the disaster by which they were affected.

Charity Tracker makes client management simple for companies in the non profit sector. We have enjoyed lowering our overall costs with this tool.

I personally think it is a wonderful idea and I liked the barcode that you could scan now that helped with less time show people how to use the computer site.

One great thing is we can edit the patrons information easily. It connects with other like charity organizations in our area.

The ease of learning Charity Tracker was excellent. We could interface with other agencies to better monitor our clients.

They help generate great reports of everything and that is helpful for both keeping records and making presentations to the district representatives.

I love that it is easy to use. I love the referral feature probably the most because it allows you to request services on behalf of a client without ever having to leave the office, submit anything.

That is what I like most about this software. The reporting functionality is also pretty excellent.

The reports aren't instantaneous and take a little while to get back to you sometimes when you request them, which is a little bit of a pain.

It is difficult at times to maneuver around options that are available to you at times. You have to really explore everything.

CharityTracker is a pretty cool idea and is pretty easy to navigate. The idea behind this is great, especially for someone who is in the nonprofit industry.

From the trial version of Charity Tracker  I would say it is a great software to use if you are keeping track of incoming and outcoming of money.

I like the barcode scanner component, it makes it really easy to find clients. I also like the way it integrates with all of the other charities in the community and helps us coordinate.

One of the best benefits of this software is the ability to connect other service providers to a single client.

Identifying the most needy in our community. Avoiding those who would abuse the system.

What I like most is how easy it was to learn how to utilize. I appreciated the introductory video, as well as the customer support.

I love that it is user friendly. I love that it provides organization and streamlines communication in the community.

It is also disappointing that the local Trustee's office is no longer covering the cost of the software, which will lead to more agencies dropping it because they cannot afford to keep it.

We are just starting to use this less than a year but so far we are liking it because it is easy to use, very user friendly. It makes it really easy to track for clients, and donors.

I love how it can integrate with other organizations and document the Bridges out of Poverty data collections.

Increased membership, excellent online marketing, stronger messaging.

The members love the ease of renewals and management of their communication preferences.

I'm always impressed with the personal response I get from the SIlkStart support team. They are always-on-top of any issues arise, and they really work with you to make sure you are satisfied.

Hands down the worst experience, and I build websites for a living. We had gone with them for a membership site and I regretted my decision almost immediately.

So far, it's been a great tool for my job. It's easy to use, and pleasantly arranged.

Using Silkstart almost cost me my job when things did not work correctly, have lost customers due to the product not working as intended.

The email tool is difficult. Overall, the package feels very late 90's.

This software is fairly basic and makes life pretty easy for those in the office who need some simple things.

The Benefits of CRM and Great Website Integration in One Package.

It's very difficult to find something negative to say about SilkStart.

Customizing pages is very difficult and a challenge. Google Page Speed gives the site very low marks, especially on mobile.

Communications module still needs a lot of work. The templates are very glitchy, image library is difficult to use and cannot manage the images in any order.

I don't think we could do better for the money - and since we are willing to go for the ride with the company - we are grateful to be part of the push and pull that makes good software great.

We were in a tough situation with our old website a few years ago and the SilkStart team was able to transition our site quickly and successfully.

The system is really easy to use and the support provided has been great.

We love being able to see and communicate with all members across all chapters and the ability to have paper and online purchase processes available.

The editing capabilities of this software is brilliant, I loved that it was so intuitive to do things that even my most technologically challenged staff could figure it out.

Almost $5,000 USD in mandatory fees is double the annual cost of a site with them, and it was very unclear what we would get for it.

We have been very pleased with the services and support provided by SilkStart and highly recommend them to any organization looking for an effective member management software platform.

There are some shortcomings to the product but these headaches are alleviated by their great support staff.

Our organization is completely driven by volunteers, so the simplicity of SilkStart has been a huge help to our small society.

SilkStart is an integrated suite of association management tools created for small to midsize single chapter and larger multi-chapter associations. SilkStart serves the unique needs of multi-chapter organizations through a connected backend database.


SilkStart’s Association Management Software (ASM) platform can either create new mobile-ready websites or integrate with a current site. In addition, the platform provides a database to track membership, events, payment processing, job postings and more.


Members can sign up for free or paid events, view job postings and update their profile information. SilkStart syncs with many common payment providers, including Stripe, Paypal, Authorize.net and Beanstream.


Associations can set up automated emails for when a member joins, renews, or is about to expire and can also create groups and send newsletters and other updates. SilkStart integrates with other applications like MailChimp and Google Analytics.


Pricing is based on the number of active users and billed on a monthly subscription basis. Support is offered via phone, email and an online knowledge repository.
