I was able to quickly make sense of the data presentation and get started right away. Overall, DonorPerfect is a pretty good platform. Unfortunately, after using this platform for a year, we feel it was probably better for our organization to stick with DonorView. We have good customer service with DonorPerfect, but something to consider is that we shouldn't need to reach out to customer service as often as we do. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros We've experienced some good customer service with DonorPerfect, and the price for the package - especially with the inclusion of Constant Contact, is good. #### Cons Poor Quickbooks integration, downloaded reports not automatically in currency format, and end-of-year donation reports are not good. Our last platform was DonorView, and DonorPerfect has some great features, but then much of the products are cobbled together. This is not helpful. Whenever a report is needed, we have to chat with support to get the extremely long set of instructions to generate the report. Additional problems that we found were the different ways to set up receiving funds, either directly through DonorPerfect, or through GiveCloud. Functionality changes for the choice of one or the other. Finally, the icon labels for a donor are not helpful. Take for instance a donor who is a monthly giver, but gives by check. Also love the chat feature to get answers in real time vs. having to email and wait for a response. #### Cons They have a drop and drag donation forms section. The downside is that unlike their classic forms, you need to actually run a separate report to get the names of the persons who have donated as it is not visible on the platform. Super inconvenient and something that we need to schedule regularly to pull. Another con is that in the classic forms the header area is not easy to work with or size. I also love that I can label and and see at a glance helpful information right on the beginning part of the donor's profile. Donor Perfect for the most part has been easy to use and helpful for our organization this year. #### Cons I don't like the reporting section of donor perfect at all. There are way too many filters that are needed in order to pull info I need quickly. It also is not the most user friendly and takes time to rewatch videos and take more notes in order to use. All of the staff (sales and support) have been incredibly nice and helpful, even when there wasn't a solution for my problem. They've often made "work-arounds" when needed. The responses are always quick, also. I've worked with or studied multiple CRMs. None offer EVERYTHING, it seems. The Donor Management module is very powerful and flexible. The Marketing capabilities through the Constant Contact email integration work great. It's easy to send thank you letters/tax receipts to donors, to sell tickets to events, and to send out newsletters. #### Cons The onboarding process needs work. We were given a form to fill out without any explanation other than being told to watch a video, which was only 50% helpful. All of our attempts to ask questions about the form and our data were brushed aside. We were told we'd have to use our training hours for to get those questions answered. As a result, our data was not uploaded correctly. However, customer service afterwards has been very helpful at addressing the onboarding issues and trying to fix what was wrong. The system is not as intuitive as I would have liked. The user interface is simple and easy to navigate, making it quick to enter gifts and update donor data. One of the main advantages is their customer support. It’s arguably the best I’ve experienced with any CRM and far surpasses platforms like Altru and Raiser’s Edge. The pre-scheduled webinars are also a big benefit; they’re practical, easy to follow, and useful for staying up-to-date on new features and improving database efficiency. #### Cons Some of the more advanced features and integrations can be complex, particularly with add-ons like moves management, Constant Contact, DonorSearch, and video plugins. There’s certainly a learning curve. The reporting features are comprehensive, but this also makes them somewhat overwhelming and challenging to master. DPO serves our small to medium sized organization well. Its greatest assets are the simple to use reporting features and very friendly, prompt, customer service team. I've personally called their tech support often and every single time they've been able to help reslove my issue and never laughed at me when I was making a simple user error! :) #### Cons Our least favorite part of DPO is the way in which couples are handled in the system. If putting s couple on the same record, it is challening to identify which personal information (cell phone and email address for exmaple) goes with which person in the couple. I am with my second non-profit using DonorPerfect. With the first organization, we had been using a software that was EXTREMELY expensive, not user friendly, and locked us into lengthy contracts. The transition to DP was easy, and I appreciated the affordability and not having to sign a lengthy contract. The agents are always helpful even with the most unusual question, like when I don't know who I should talk to about something I can ask the chat support agent and they will tell me. I also appreciate that chat support agents have helped me write filters and fix reporting issues. They are like having my own on-site tech! #### Cons I am not a fan of the dashboard. DP has preset what is measured and you can't edit the timeline. The knowldege of the DP staff and their ability to accommodate our organizations needs has made the on boarding process smooth and pleasant. I also love the user friendliness and the knowledge center to help me take full advantage of all the system can do to help make our fundraising efforts more seamless. #### Cons I think the least liked part is that the migration process has taken a lot of time but the staff has made it worthwhile so not so bad. I am both looking forward to getting access to using the database and also kind of dreading the work i have to do to clean up our records and streamline. Forms are a bit outdated and could use refining.
