Also love the chat feature to get answers in real time vs. having to email and wait for a response. #### Cons They have a drop and drag donation forms section. The downside is that unlike their classic forms, you need to actually run a separate report to get the names of the persons who have donated as it is not visible on the platform. Super inconvenient and something that we need to schedule regularly to pull. Another con is that in the classic forms the header area is not easy to work with or size. Overall, DonorPerfect is a pretty good platform. Unfortunately, after using this platform for a year, we feel it was probably better for our organization to stick with DonorView. We have good customer service with DonorPerfect, but something to consider is that we shouldn't need to reach out to customer service as often as we do. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros We've experienced some good customer service with DonorPerfect, and the price for the package - especially with the inclusion of Constant Contact, is good. #### Cons Poor Quickbooks integration, downloaded reports not automatically in currency format, and end-of-year donation reports are not good. Our last platform was DonorView, and DonorPerfect has some great features, but then much of the products are cobbled together. This is not helpful. Whenever a report is needed, we have to chat with support to get the extremely long set of instructions to generate the report. Additional problems that we found were the different ways to set up receiving funds, either directly through DonorPerfect, or through GiveCloud. Functionality changes for the choice of one or the other. Finally, the icon labels for a donor are not helpful. Take for instance a donor who is a monthly giver, but gives by check. All of the staff (sales and support) have been incredibly nice and helpful, even when there wasn't a solution for my problem. They've often made "work-arounds" when needed. The responses are always quick, also. I've worked with or studied multiple CRMs. None offer EVERYTHING, it seems. For the most part it is user friendly and easy to jump right in to figure it out. #### Cons Reports are easy to run and many are readily available. Building new ones and building or finding the right filters to go with them takes a bit of training. There are still limitations with those, but luckily the help staff have been able to fix most of those issues. The Donor Management module is very powerful and flexible. The Marketing capabilities through the Constant Contact email integration work great. It's easy to send thank you letters/tax receipts to donors, to sell tickets to events, and to send out newsletters. #### Cons The onboarding process needs work. We were given a form to fill out without any explanation other than being told to watch a video, which was only 50% helpful. All of our attempts to ask questions about the form and our data were brushed aside. We were told we'd have to use our training hours for to get those questions answered. As a result, our data was not uploaded correctly. However, customer service afterwards has been very helpful at addressing the onboarding issues and trying to fix what was wrong. The system is not as intuitive as I would have liked. For example, when setting up selection filter, the statement needs to be all "ands" or all "ors". I tend to run a report and then export it to MS Excel to 'clean it up' so that it fully reflects what it should. They were right. Customer support has been kind, responsive, and helpful from day 1. I've brought many problems to them and together we've found solutions. I feel like they are a true partner with our nonprofit and am grateful for that! #### Cons Learning to work the filters has taken a lot of work and time, especially when creating email send groups. (And I have a ton of query building experience!) Constant Contact doesn't have an inclusion/exclusion format for its send groups, which is a pain. They are really informative and help explain everything so that it makes the program so easy to use. #### Cons There is not much I don't like about DonorPerfect. The only problem I have is if somebody tries to make a credit card payment on an online form and the credit card does not go through, it automatically generates a receipt #. With affordable options and great customer support, DonorPerfect is hard to beat. The fact we can have multiple users and assign tasks to them is always great. Having donors laid out in a way we can see how long have they given and how many gifts is extremely useful. #### Cons The Contacts menu could be a bit more intuitive and be linked to iCal or Google Calendar features to make it easier to get notifications. Forms are a bit outdated and could use refining. If they truly see something that does not work or make sense, they make a huge effort in being there every step of them way. Especially when making updates, they make it so clear when and where the update is. Their tutors and on demand staff are super attentive and knowledgeable in their field. They adjust their website so that it's easy to use for people who may not be knowable in data management platforms. #### Cons At first I noticed a bit of a lack in the volunteer aspect in the beginning and could not find tutorials that helped keep better track of volunteer work during certain time frames. I feel after 3 years using it that it keeps updating and bringing new features like the new online forms.
