DonorPerfect Software is my Favorite
Donor database and tax reporting for a large volume and diverse systemic need. Reconciling accounts for different GL needs is a breeze. Customer service support as been the very best I have ever experienced.
PROSThe customer service is promptly available and is always knowledgeable and friendly. We have had much success with the Madrid of options available for services and reports. There is always training webinars available and new helpful services coming out. The web-forms are so easy and efficient for online donors to purchase tickets or make donations. The credit card processing works seamlessly with the information downloads.
CONSThe reports can be very tricky to pull up, however, there is intricate detail that can be obtained, so perhaps that's why.

Tried-True Fundraising CRM for scrappy NPOs, been around forever w/ excellent customer service
The excellent customer help lines are great. They walk you through every step of the way and often find workarounds if needed.
CONSThat this is not a household-based CRM and you can't have a separate record for each member of a household that rolls donations up. I didn't know this and have a separate record for each individual. When both are donors I needed to choose a Primary and secondary and merge them or else it creates duplicate mailings.

it seems like it was more solid and had been around longest and had worked out all the kinks and had everything a one man shop DoD would need

Looking for something better
I appreciate the responsiveness of the support chat feature.
PROSIt is a great donor management tool for logging gifts, campaigns, and receipts. The report creation software is also really helpful.
CONSThere is no way to automate tracking of online donations, automate contact logs, and notify for contact follow up.

DonorPerfect Review
DonorPerfect is a great CRM that is useful to track any and all donor data
PROSThe use of the DonorPerfect system as a CRM is great. It allows a large portion of customization that allows users to customize how they want to enter in donors.
CONSChanging of the color theme would be nice to see for DonorPerfect. This is to say users can create their own color themes for the system to suit their workflow better.

The cost and benefits of DonorPerfect worked out much better for our current long term goals

Covers all your bases
I love having everything at my fingertips. I hate having to make it all in a very structured way. The drag and drop form is nice but not versatile. I do like where it’s going. I hope everything becomes as easy to navigate as that one small feature.
PROSIt’s nice that is it very customizable and the customer service is unmatched!
CONSIt’s is difficult to use and hard to navigate. I’m a millennial and pretty tech savvy. It’s a clunky system I’d say it’s like the Android of the industry. Sometimes full functionality bogs down the user. We need more short cuts and less coding. If you don’t know exactly what to look for or where to look for it you may never find it.

Compliments of Donor Perfect
I am very relived by the organized formatting of Donor Perfect reporting. Once I select what data I need the donor system has it ready to print. I can either select extra tabs or print as is. I am also grateful for the system performance, as soon as I enter a gift in the system it alerts me to send a Thank you later right away. What's a gift without a thank you letter given in return!
PROSMy One on One training with [sensitive content hidden] , she patiently breaks down how my organizations can benefit from Donor Perfect.
CONSI'm not sure if I have any complaints about Donor Perfect.

We couldn't be happier we switched to DP!
Overall it's been amazing! We're really happy with it.
PROSWe were using a CRM in the past that was just too clunky and didn't make sense for how small of an organization we are. Plus, the customer service was TERRIBLE. We honestly switched to DonorPerfect because of the people first. From the sales calls, to onboarding, to help when we were in it, it's been amazing! So, we love the customer service first, software second. The software has been more intuitive and definitely fits our needs at this time.
CONSOne thing that could be improved is the search bar. It'd be nice if it auto-populated the matches or similar matches in the drop down so you could select them easier vs. having to type the exact name, click enter and then still click on the profile you want.

The best I've used, not without some limitations
Very positive. Like the title says, DP is the best I've used. Whereas it does have some limitations, they are greatly overruled by the benefits.
PROSI like the ease of use of the system and how there isn't a huge learning curve to learn new features. Additionally, if we ever are confused about how to implement something, we are always able to contact support and walk through a solution. In the event we aren't able to figure something out in that call, they're able to help us figure it out over time.
CONSI wish there was an easier way to implement physical swiping of credit cards and the customization of forms for them. Creating a sort of store front. On that note, the form templates are very helpful, but I feel like at times we really have to flex our creativity to figure out how to make them fit our needs.

I know we made this switch, but it was shortly before I joined the team. Having come from RE, I'm sure the switch was made in order to make the process easier and more user friendly.

Still Room for Improvement
I like that Donor Perfect is user friendly, even those who are not tech savvy can use the software. The help desk is awesome, and the forms fuction make it easy to intergrate everything.
CONSI wish that there was better communication between DonorPerfect and Constant Contact. I also wish that indvidual people could be grouped together by households.

Very Satisified with DP
Reports are easy to run, daily entries are made with ease and this program has many bells and whistles included.
PROSOnline donation pages - eliminate the need for a third-party processor of credit card gifts and integrate the donations directly.
CONSEvents Management & Moves Management are the least utilized features in DP for us.

Happy with DonorPerfect
Overall, it's been much easier to segment our donors and personalize their experience. We feel much more confident using DP than our previous software, because it's easier to pull reports, etc.
PROSSetting up DP was very easy and we were able to customize several field. The ability "globally update" has proven to be a very useful tool. We like the ability to customize our pages to suit our needs.
CONSSome of the add-ons are too expensive for our organization to purchase, however, we can see how those tools would be useful, so it's a bit frustrating.

Great option for small non profits that want it all!
Overall, I highly recommend Donor Perfect. It's a great system if you want a robust CRM with fundraising capabilities. I thas a lot of the same functionality you would see in larger systems like Razor's Edge, but for a significantly more affordable price point. As someone who helped implement the system, uses it daily as an administrator and user, this is a great system. We have previously used Sage Fundraising 50 and Abila Elevate, so this is a huge step up for us without breaking the bank.
PROSDonor Perfect has a lot of pros! It's a cloud-based platform so you can access it anywhere, even from your mobile device. There are a lot of add on features available, including ReadySetAuction and Constant Contact so that you can manage events and communications within one system. You have the ability to set up your own giving pages for various events, scholarships, or specific giving appeals (such as Giving Tuesday, Give Big Day, etc.) The reporting feature is extremely robust and can give you pretty much anything you want if you know how to ask for it. Another great feature is data import... if you have monthly payroll donors that may change one or two additions/drop-offs a month but need to regularly import large amounts of data with simply a check number and date change difference from the last import, you can do it all in less than 30 seconds after the initial document is set up. Overall, what I like most about this system is that it's affordable and offers all the bells and whistles that you get with the more expensive softwares, but for significantly less.
CONSThe system can be overwhelming for new users, especially if you don't have the paid support feature or the time to dig through their help pages. There are a lot of add on features, but they all come with a price. It can be pretty expensive for small nonprofits that only have a handful of employees or one or two people that are using the system. Reporting can be complicated and difficult even for experienced users. Events management is extremely difficult and complicated, and lacking a lot of features. We do not use it for events management as a result.

Abila Elevate was shutting down. We had spent the 6 months prior to their launch integrating data from Sage Fundraising 50, only to be told one month in that Elevate was being shut down. We wanted a company that was affordable and that wouldn't take us 6 more months to roll the data over.

DONORPERFECT is the PERFECT CRM
DP's reports are so easy to use and to learn to use. Overall, I wouldn't change CRMs for nothing - I have used 2 others in my past experience and DP tops them all as far as user friendly and not knowing how to do something... CHAT is your new best friend!
PROSI absolutely love donor perfect! It is so easy to use and was a piece of cake when transitioning from another software to DonorPerfect! The reports are so easy to setup and if you ever run into a problem - all you have to do is jump on CHAT and they will help you with whatever your need is!
CONSI really don't know of anything that is my least favorite about Donorperfect! If you ever have a problem - just jump on CHAT and they are so courteous and patient with those that are just learning the system. DP fits perfectly into our day to day practices in our non-profit.

The pricing of course was the first thing that pulled me into DP but when I watched the demo - I fell in love with it! It is awesome, easy, and so proficient in the non-profit world.

I couldn't not for the life of me figure our RE - there was never no rhyme or reason as to why and how to do things and I never felt my reports were accurate!

Why I choose Donor Perfect for our Non-Profits CRM
They are the easiest to get ahold of of any CRM I have used in the past. They are the best at getting back to you quickly off they are unavailable. They are masters at helping solve every issue have had, with exception to the donation page.
PROSI love how we can keep track of donors and stay in touch with them through the use of the receipting process.
CONSThe new Beta Donation page is very archaic. It is not user friendly for us as a non-profit and somewhat confusing for a donor.

Powerful yet easy touse!
The tech support is world championship level!
PROSOver the years I have used a plethora of software. What makes DP the winner is how easy it is to customize the screens for various types of roles the various users may have.
CONSTo be brutally honest, there is a very steep learning curve. The youTube page has great tutorials and the DP User Community is a great resoirce

The Swiss Army Knife of Fundraising!
The user interface and dashboards let us all track our work with ease. Reports help us track our progress. Customization enables us to hear our data speak back to us in our own language based on our own needs, and the support we receive from DP is the gold-standard!
PROSNot only does the "out of the box" version function intuitively with the core functions and best practices of fundraising and constituent engagement, but it is also easy to customize to our exact needs.
CONSThere is a learning curve with the relationship between filters and reports -- especially when complex filters are needed, but once this skill is mastered, the sky is the limit! Not only that, we've always found the help we needed from the team at DP when we run into a hurdle.

We didn't have to be programmers, engineers, or developers to customize this product. It was built for people who need to turn it on and get it working on the same day!
