## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.2/5
- Total reviews: 2,063

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.0/5
- Customer support: 3.8/5
- Value for money: 3.9/5
- Functionality: 4.2/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 965 reviews (47%)
- 4 stars: 788 reviews (38%)
- 3 stars: 216 reviews (10%)
- 2 stars: 39 reviews (2%)
- 1 star: 55 reviews (3%)

### Most mentioned pros

- Finally, its deep customization allows businesses to build complex, automated workflows (SuiteFlow) that fit their specific operational DNA rather than forcing a "one-size-fits-all" approach.
- NetSuite has been really great for linking different areas of the company together. Because financial, procurement, reporting and project-related activity can all be managed in one application, time is saved because there’s no need to navigate through multiple systems to collect all the relevant details.
- You can customize workflows, dashboards, and reports to match your specific needs, and as your business evolves, the platform scales right along with it.

### Most mentioned cons

- They followed a cookie-cutter playbook with no effort to tailor the system to our complex processes. When we tried to explain workflows that didn't fit their standard template, they looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language.
- What I liked least was the challenge of getting other users up to speed and fully embracing the platform. Because of its complexity, people often get frustrated and gravitate toward outside tools for tasks that NetSuite can actually handle natively - which undermines the value of having one centralized system.
- For example, consignment functionality does not work well when assembly items are enabled, which creates limitations in more complex inventory setups.

### Comprehensive functionality, but too much complexity

My overall experience has been average. NetSuite is clearly capable and can be very effective for organisations with complex financial and operational requirements, but it requires significant effort to configure and use properly. It provides useful functionality and reporting, but I would like to see a simpler user experience, more intuitive workflows and less dependency on specialist support.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The main advantage is having a broad range of financial and operational functionality within a single platform. It provides good visibility across the business, supports complex processes and can reduce the need to manage data across multiple disconnected systems. Reporting and having a central source of information are particularly useful.

#### Cons

Ease of use is the biggest weakness. The interface can feel dated and unintuitive, and relatively simple tasks can sometimes involve too many steps. Configuration and customisation can also be complex and often require specialist knowledge. This makes adoption harder and limits the value for users who only access the platform occasionally.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

NetSuite's modules offer a powerful, comprehensive system for starting and growing in e-commerce. The core component - the inventory management system - integrates seamlessly with online shops, marketplaces and your own point-of-sales system. Order processing and warehouse management function almost flawless. The software offers an affordable entry point, with costs increasing gradually as your business grows. A fair deal!

#### Cons

The company's vision is heading in the right direction. Processes can often be streamlined using workflows, scripts and extensions. Expanding the business model to marketplaces and offline retail is always possible.

#### Reasons for switching to NetSuite

Their customer service had so many delays whenever we tried to reach it unlike Netsuite who are always ready to help us

I'd recommend NetSuite to any business doing at least $10M a year in revenue. Below that, the complexity and cost probably outweigh the benefit.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

One system for finance, inventory, purchasing, and sales — no more reconciling data across five different tools. It's also highly customizable, so it flexes to fit almost any workflow you throw at it.

#### Cons

That same flexibility is a double-edged sword. It's easy to over-customize and end up with configurations that cause bugs down the line, so it helps to have someone on your team (or a partner) who really understands the platform.

#### Reasons for choosing NetSuite

Netsuite was more modern and user friendly.

#### Reasons for switching to NetSuite

Quickbooks Online was no longer able to meet the scale of our inventory management needs.

The NetSuite fully takes the painful, repetitive work out of flipping back and forth between poorly-constructed spreadsheets and clunky governmental reporting applications. Our visibility and time to reporting has been significantly improved. Plan for high training costs to overcome the steep learning curve.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The level of Financial Consolidation depth is truly phenomenal. It has served as the single source of truth for our large State based accounts, budget allocations, and business metrics spanning many utility companies. The flexibility for custom reporting and the audit readiness tracking makes meeting our regulatory reporting requirement easy.

#### Cons

User Interface UI is cluttered and outdated making data entry tedious for non-tech-inclined members every day. Configuring custom workflows for government compliance needed lots of personalization and required hiring costly consultants or complex scripting.

NetSuite has helped increase the stability and regularity of our business and has made some manual work obsolete. It’s good at managing complicated business processes, and I really value having useful and accurate data at my fingertips when I want it. While it’s a learning curve, it’s proved to be a very solid system in the long run.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

NetSuite has been really great for linking different areas of the company together. Because financial, procurement, reporting and project-related activity can all be managed in one application, time is saved because there’s no need to navigate through multiple systems to collect all the relevant details. The Dashboards give visibility, the reporting is flexible, and cloud access enables users to check activity remotely.

#### Cons

The one feature I would change if I could would be the UI. Some areas could definitely use an update, and there were many things that took far too many clicks to access. It's a lengthy first-time setup and a tiny adjustment will take much longer than it should.

#### Cons

Overall, my experience with NetSuite was moderate. While it offers strong functionality and a comprehensive, integrated platform, performance issues and occasional usability challenges impacted the overall experience. It’s a powerful system, but there is room for improvement in speed and user experience.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5

Its real-time reporting and scalability were especially valuable for supporting business growth and decision-making. If you want, tell me your role (e.g., finance, ops, sales), and I can tailor it to sound more personal and specific.

It was a very great experience, especially since it was my first time using NetSuite. The interface was user-friendly, and I appreciated how organized the features were. It helped me understand how businesses manage their operations efficiently. Even though it was my first time using the system, I did not encounter any major difficulties that would stand out as something I disliked. While there were moments of confusion due to unfamiliarity, I see them as part of the learning process rather than actual drawbacks of the platform. The system worked efficiently, and its features were helpful in understanding business operations. Overall, I did not find any aspect that I would consider negative, and I am satisfied with my experience using NetSuite.

### Efficient Ordering and Invoicing Tool with Helpful Auto-Population Features

Overall, my experience with NetSuite was positive. We used it for ordering and invoicing, and it made bulk ordering much faster and more organized. The auto-populating item codes and frequently ordered item suggestions were very helpful for saving time. I do think the system could improve by making order changes more transparent, especially when multiple people are working in the same account, but overall it was a useful and efficient tool.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I liked how convenient NetSuite was for ordering and invoicing. Being able to type in the percentage sign and item code to auto-populate products made entering bulk orders much faster and more efficient. I also liked that orders could be printed quickly, which made it easier to keep track of what was entered. Over time, NetSuite also seemed to learn frequently ordered items and would auto-populate items we commonly used, which helped speed up the ordering process.

#### Cons

My biggest frustration was that if someone else made changes to an order, it was not always clear what was changed or why. For example, if a quantity was adjusted, there was not an obvious explanation or note showing the reason for the change. Because of that, I often had to print the order immediately after entering it so I could keep track of any changes made later.

Overall, my experience with NetSuite has been positive. It supports the full finance process from purchasing through to reporting, which makes it easier to manage transactions in a structured way. I’ve mainly used it for accounts payable, reconciliations, and reviewing financial data, and it has handled these tasks reliably. Over time, I’ve become more comfortable with features like saved searches and reporting, which help me work more efficiently and keep track of outstanding items or exceptions. There are still areas that take time to get used to, especially when dealing with errors or less common transactions, but once understood, the system works well.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

What I like most about NetSuite is that it keeps financial and operational data in one place, which makes it easier to follow transactions from start to finish. I can see how a bill links to a purchase order and flows through to the general ledger without jumping between systems. Saved searches are also very helpful. I use them to track items like open bills, payment status, and exceptions. Once set up, they reduce the need to manually check multiple screens. I also find the structure across AP, purchasing, and GL practical for day-to-day work. It provides a consistent way to record transactions and makes month-end tasks more manageable. Overall, it helps keep processes organised and easier to review.

#### Cons

One of the main challenges I’ve found with NetSuite is that some processes are not very intuitive, especially for new users. It can take time to understand where to find certain functions or how different records link together. The user interface can also feel a bit outdated, and navigating between screens sometimes requires more clicks than expected. This can slow down day-to-day tasks, particularly when handling high volumes. I’ve also noticed that certain actions, like correcting transactions or managing errors, are not always straightforward and may require workarounds or deeper system knowledge.

I have 7 years of experience with NetSuite, which has given me a well-rounded perspective on the platform. I started on the operations side as an end user, which gave me a ground-level understanding of how the system supports day-to-day business processes. Over time I transitioned into an admin role with a primary focus on analytics and process optimization. That progression has been valuable - understanding how data is created at the operational level makes me more effective at building meaningful reports, identifying inefficiencies, and designing solutions that actually work for the people using them. I’ve leveraged NetSuite’s customization capabilities, including custom fields and saved searches, to tailor the platform to business needs and help teams move away from outside tools by showing them what NetSuite can truly do.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I liked most about NetSuite is having a single source of truth for all business data - everyone works from the same information, which improves accuracy and decision-making across departments. I also appreciated the ability to create custom fields, which allowed us to capture the specific data points that matter most to the business and tailor the system to our unique needs.

#### Cons

What I liked least was the challenge of getting other users up to speed and fully embracing the platform. Because of its complexity, people often get frustrated and gravitate toward outside tools for tasks that NetSuite can actually handle natively - which undermines the value of having one centralized system. It’s something I’ve worked to address through training and showing users how the platform can make their work easier once they understand it.

NetSuite’s biggest "pro" is its unified database, which creates a single source of truth across finance, CRM, and inventory. This eliminates data silos and manual reconciliations, drastically speeding up financial closes. Users also love its scalability; the "OneWorld" feature handles multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, and global tax needs seamlessly as a company grows. Because it is cloud-native, you get real-time visibility from anywhere without maintaining servers. Finally, its deep customization allows businesses to build complex, automated workflows (SuiteFlow) that fit their specific operational DNA rather than forcing a "one-size-fits-all" approach.

#### Cons

Users most frequently cite high, unpredictable costs as a top grievance, specifically aggressive price hikes during contract renewals. The steep learning curve is another major hurdle; the interface feels dated and requires significant training to navigate. Implementation is often described as a "money pit"—it’s a long, complex process that frequently requires expensive external consultants. Technically, users complain about performance lag when running multiple scripts and a clunky reporting system that is unintuitive for non-technical staff. Finally, customer support is often criticized for being slow to resolve bugs, leaving businesses stuck during critical periods.

My experiance with NetSuite has been mixed. It’s a very powerful ERP system and works well for managing different parts of the business in one platform. Reporting and financial tracking are strong points. At the same time it does have a learning curve and sometimes requires external consultants to fully utilize it. Once you get past that, it becomes a pretty reliable system.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It brings everything together in one place like accounting, financials, inventory and reporting. Its really helpful not having to switch between multiple systems. The real-time reporting and dashboards are pretty useful for getting a quick view of how the business is doing. It also scales well as the company grows, which is a big plus. Once everything is set up properly, it can handle a lot of complex business processes

#### Cons

It can be pretty complex and not very beginner friendly. The interface feels a bit outdated in some areas and takes time to get used to. Customization is powerful but also confusing unless you have proper training or support. Also the cost can be quite high, especially for smaller businesses

NetSuite is a robust, feature-rich ERP system that adds significant value through centralized data management and workflow automation. For Optoma Europe Ltd, it helps streamline operations across multiple regions. However, the complexity of the system and occasional integration glitches mean it requires ongoing administration and attention to detail to avoid errors. Overall, it is highly effective once fully configured and maintained, but may feel overwhelming for new users or teams without dedicated NetSuite expertise.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Data Management: Centralized data management across multiple subsidiaries and currencies is powerful, allowing accurate reporting and analytics.

#### Cons

Bugs and Issues: Occasionally, workflow automations or integrations (like those with Fiton for serial number tracking) can fail or produce duplicate records, requiring manual intervention.

I love the product. The Oracle Account Management is not as good though. Have outstanding invoicing issue that is still ongoing after 6 months!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

All business data are in one place. Lots of suite app. Secure from external attacts. Highly customisable.

#### Cons

Could be SLOOOOOOOW. Field names/ID's are not consistent in different areas (Saved Searches vs forms vs suitescript) Error handling is not helpful sometimes. Would be good to improve error handling.
