Helpful and Supportive

Excellent! The staff has been very helpful and we have benefited from being able to reach someone in times of need. Their platform is extremely easy to use and doesn't have a bunch of hidden costs.

Pros

I have found that Network For Good is an amazing software for small nonprofits who are trying to make a difference in the world, but do not have a big budget.

Cons

We would love to see features that support volunteer management.

Falling in love with NFG

I just love how I can rely on a system that helps me connect with my donors, making so much of my work easier and giving me time to focus on what I need to.

Pros

the integration of so many features that allows you to connect several services in one place. I'm using less and less other services for contacting donors, events, donations, and using just the Network for Good donation management system.
I also like the customer service available. It's great to have a team helping you through all the craziness of fundraising.
I also like how NFG is constantly incorporating new technology in their system.

Cons

I wish some features would give me more customization options. Like, donation pages, forms, and direct mail, but I can perfectly work with all the available features.

Helpful Tool for Fundraising

Pros

You actually feel like you are part of a "network." It is geared for non-profit organizations, so the features cater to the needs of non-profits, including small organizations.

Cons

There are a number of similar software applications out there that our organization has tried. Network for Good is actually quite good, but in the end we found other programs easier to use and better suited for our needs as a small, international non-governmental organization that is still working to build a donor foundation.

Great concept

Pros

I love the idea behind this software, and we use it quite frequently. It requires very little work on our end.

Cons

I have had challenges with payments to our organization - it is sometimes impossible to tell who donated.

Network For Good Fundraising Platform is a game changer

Network For Good is allowing us to quickly enter gifts, thank donors, consolidate information, and do some big-shop level fundraising with a small shop.

Pros

NFG's visual interface is so easy to use. The automation of data evaluation (auto-ID of lapsed donors, for instance) allows us to use our time doing donor relations instead. Built-in modules for campaigns and tactics, such as #GivingTuesday are guiding us and making it easy to maximize our impact as small-shop fundraisers.

Cons

Our only issue is the records tiers for pricing. We are currently at the top of one tier, but the next tier is far beyond what we would need so we are struggling to keep our records below the current tier cap.

Maybe best for established companies

None just yet, however, I am hopeful.

Pros

The pro on this one is the ease of use (sorta).

Cons

I have a new and small nonprofit and I did not find this software useful. Everything takes money to start up and as a small nonprofit I just don't have the money to put out. There could be a window of time to see if you can get funding and then you could join.

We used this Product for our Non Profit

We had a need to have a nonprofit. The issues that go with this type of setup are huge in what you can do, and what you can not do. So I surfed the web and read a few articles two named this product. The learning of the product just takes a little time but that time will keep you legal in audits and Thank you's from your donors. We happy with this product. Our experience is if you used salesforce, excel or word you jump right in that the tools are in this package.

Pros

It is a software geared towards charitiesand nonprofits and money or Fund Raising! As we have a need for 501(c)3type of operation this procut gives you control of the process and keeps a papertrail and aids you to be legal as a non profiT.

Cons

None this product if you have not used any others is not lacking in features. You need to spend sometime learning the product then you see that it will provide you the audit trial, marketing, accounting and more in one package.

Great Fundraising Opportunity

Our organization received over $3000 due to the generosity of our donors.

Pros

Easy way to get donations for a favorite charity

Cons

Doesn't provide accurate record of donors making thank you letters difficult. If several people donate, the individual needs to track them separately. The organization simply receives a total amount. The individual must provide information to the organization.

Network for Good has been an excellent partner with our new nonprofit organization.

Actual interactions with staff either by electronically (message bubble) or by phone have been excellent. As treasurer and chief fundraiser for our small organization that operated for 10 years under host organizations and just just recently got its IRS tax exempt status I am very pleased we chose NFG to work with and would recommend it to others.

Pros

I do like the easy access to some much info on our contacts. Actual interactions with staff either by electronically (message bubble) or by phone have been excellent. I can download it easilyto excel easily to do further planning and analysis. The distinction between the sections for donor management and fundraising is very clear and make it easy for the new user organization.

Cons

I tried to get started without reading enough of the information from the knowledge base and so had to correct items or just be frustrated for awhile. Could be a check off list for new users to print or keep in line that are top dozen actions that help new users and that would stress using the knowledge base and getting your computer set up for the webinars. I have missed two webinars because I wasn't set up far enough in advance. The ready talk help was good sometimes and an endless loop of written tips another time. Vimeo is its own challenge. I do like the easy access to some much info on our contacts.

Nice Software for Fundraising Online

Using Network for Good has allowed me to efficiently manage donor profiles in one place while providing an online platform my company and donors alike to share during our fundraising peak seasons.

Pros

The ability to set up fundraising online is my favorite feature of this software.

Cons

Navigating the software is a bit tedious at first, but customer service is really helpful with any questions that arise.

New customer and loving it!

So far so good. Love the way it works and I am loving it!

Pros

It's a really easy software to use, very modern compared to the last database we were using and the support team has been really helpful when I don't understand something. They also have really awesome webinars and make the database much more easy!

Cons

I am still struggling a little with the usage of the filters

Thanking your Donors the Right Way

I feel strongly that this software will allow me not just to thank donors, but thank them the right way... depending on if their new donors, renewals, or a major gifts. I'm not just worried about "did we thank them?" any more, I now have a mechanism that allows me to thank them properly and segment HOW I thank our supporters.

Pros

I love the on-boarding process and how easy Network for Good makes it for organizations to migrate their data and gives tips on ways to using that time efficiently to set up your donation pages, acknowledgment letters, etc.

Cons

The only con is that I didn't invest in this software sooner. I would have saved myself a lot of headaches...

Good

Pros

Love the way I can now take donations with a click of a button. More alumni and out of town supporters donate online rather than mailing in donations.

Cons

Changing contact information when someone in the office leaves is a little bit harder to do.

A must for non-profits

This is a great site to find a non profit that you want to donate to, and be able to safely give to your nonprofit.

Pros

It was easy to use, and I like how you can search for the non profit that interests you. Paid in a timely manner. Didn't know that we had money sitting there so it was a nice surprise.

Cons

We didn't know about the donations and was not sure if this was a real thing. But it was!

Network For Good

Pros

Network for Good is an excellent donation platform nonprofits can use to collect and solicit funds. My organization has been using Network for Good for over 7 years and have never had any issues. It is easy to track donations and run reports. Donors can also opt to cover the fees.

Cons

The few downsides to Network for Good is that the organization cannot setup monthly recurring. The donor has to initiate this from their end. Also the deposits are monthly into our account instead of daily or weekly.

Love Network for Good!

So far, love it!

Pros

Response letter templates, ease of setting up donation pages with our artwork for background, ease of posting donations, customer service is excellent!

Cons

I haven't found anything yet. There is a learning curve, but that's true for any new software experience. I wouldn't, however, call that a con.

For a non-profit there are better options

We keep the account open in case someone chooses to give thru it, but it's not a priority to us to actively pursue using it.

Pros

We like the ability to reach a broad audience, and NFG does have a broader audience

Cons

The percentage on transaction fees - for a budget conscious non-profit, there are better options out there. Also the timing to get funds to the account. We were set up with NFG for quite some time and suddenly received a check in the mail with funds from 6 months prior with a note saying they could not locate our organization. We have since set up ACH with them, but they could have done more to locate us and get the donor funds to us sooner.

Hi there! From your review it sounds like you have a free account with us (using our donation processing service for nonprofits and not using any of our software products for donation pages or our donor management system). I wanted to let you know that we do have a lower fee structure for our subscription-based donation pages vs our free online donation platform. And, I'm sorry about the time it took to get the check to you! We always recommend nonprofits keep their address updated with Guidestar as that is the "nonprofit database of record" for many in the nonprofit space. However, I'm glad you signed up for ACH! Thanks for your feedback! -Liz, Customer Success

Customer service like none other

Pros

In today's world outstanding customer service backed with a genuine desire to improve is hard to find. The software is easy to use and learn as a new user, but when it's not there is someone standing by ready to help. When the software can't perform as you wish, there are people listening and working to improve the software. I couldn't ask for more effort from the people working behind the scenes to make this program exactly what we needed.

Cons

Although I know they are working on improving the event side of their software, I found the program insufficient for one of our events, which is a running race. I think network for good can be as good as other race programs, they just aren't set up for an event that needs details on age classes, birthdates and assigns bibs.

Appreciate Network for Good

Our minsitry is kept up-to date on the latest information and the response to questions is sent in a very timely manner. They have been prompt in sending donations to our charity and that alone is the best review we can give. Sending donations is always secure and private.

Pros

Really like the ease and efficiency of the reporting and the customer service! We run a non-profit and the tips they give help us out so much- they cover ideas and programs that we never thought about.

Cons

Nothing NOT to like! We cannot find any fault in how this works for us.
