Thanking your Donors the Right Way

I feel strongly that this software will allow me not just to thank donors, but thank them the right way... depending on if their new donors, renewals, or a major gifts. I'm not just worried about "did we thank them?" any more, I now have a mechanism that allows me to thank them properly and segment HOW I thank our supporters.

Pros

I love the on-boarding process and how easy Network for Good makes it for organizations to migrate their data and gives tips on ways to using that time efficiently to set up your donation pages, acknowledgment letters, etc.

Cons

The only con is that I didn't invest in this software sooner. I would have saved myself a lot of headaches...

Love the way I can now take donations with a click of a button. More alumni and out of town supporters donate online rather than mailing in donations.

Cons

Changing contact information when someone in the office leaves is a little bit harder to do.

A must for non-profits

This is a great site to find a non profit that you want to donate to, and be able to safely give to your nonprofit.

Pros

It was easy to use, and I like how you can search for the non profit that interests you. Paid in a timely manner. Didn't know that we had money sitting there so it was a nice surprise.

Cons

We didn't know about the donations and was not sure if this was a real thing. But it was!

Network For Good

Pros

Network for Good is an excellent donation platform nonprofits can use to collect and solicit funds. My organization has been using Network for Good for over 7 years and have never had any issues. It is easy to track donations and run reports. Donors can also opt to cover the fees.

Cons

The few downsides to Network for Good is that the organization cannot setup monthly recurring. The donor has to initiate this from their end. Also the deposits are monthly into our account instead of daily or weekly.

Love Network for Good!

So far, love it!

Pros

Response letter templates, ease of setting up donation pages with our artwork for background, ease of posting donations, customer service is excellent!

Cons

I haven't found anything yet. There is a learning curve, but that's true for any new software experience. I wouldn't, however, call that a con.

For a non-profit there are better options

We keep the account open in case someone chooses to give thru it, but it's not a priority to us to actively pursue using it.

Pros

We like the ability to reach a broad audience, and NFG does have a broader audience

Cons

The percentage on transaction fees - for a budget conscious non-profit, there are better options out there. Also the timing to get funds to the account. We were set up with NFG for quite some time and suddenly received a check in the mail with funds from 6 months prior with a note saying they could not locate our organization. We have since set up ACH with them, but they could have done more to locate us and get the donor funds to us sooner.

Customer service like none other

Pros

In today's world outstanding customer service backed with a genuine desire to improve is hard to find. The software is easy to use and learn as a new user, but when it's not there is someone standing by ready to help. When the software can't perform as you wish, there are people listening and working to improve the software. I couldn't ask for more effort from the people working behind the scenes to make this program exactly what we needed.

Cons

Although I know they are working on improving the event side of their software, I found the program insufficient for one of our events, which is a running race. I think network for good can be as good as other race programs, they just aren't set up for an event that needs details on age classes, birthdates and assigns bibs.

Appreciate Network for Good

Our minsitry is kept up-to date on the latest information and the response to questions is sent in a very timely manner. They have been prompt in sending donations to our charity and that alone is the best review we can give. Sending donations is always secure and private.

Pros

Really like the ease and efficiency of the reporting and the customer service! We run a non-profit and the tips they give help us out so much- they cover ideas and programs that we never thought about.

Cons

Nothing NOT to like! We cannot find any fault in how this works for us.

Great for Branding Donation Options

Pros

I like that they are able to brand your donation page to you. Years ago we used another option that was obviously sending you away from our website. No branding or anything - just a way to donate. Network for Good kept the donor in our world, giving the donation page the look and feel of our website. Their customer service is great and they are always ready to assist. I am a one-person development/fundraising shop, so I wish I had more time to explore all the options they make available. They reach out on a regular basis to inform me of new or better options - I just don't always have the time to really investigate.

Cons

I may be behind the times, but my only con is all the information that you have to complete to make a donation. This is more on me than them - finding the time to explore all the options available and if there are updated versions that are simpler.

Good basic giving platform for nonprofits

Our overall experience with Network for Good was good, but did not provide an upgraded platform when we were looking for a better solution. Our organization ultimately switched to another platform that offered a more flawless integration with our existing website.

Pros

Network for Good is great with the basics and provides a platform for online giving that our organization used for years.

Cons

A few years ago, when we were last utilizing this software, the platform didn't provide advanced features that our nonprofit was desiring. The interface was also not very user-friendly and did not embed into our existing website.

Good software with one-on-one coaching

Overall, I'm beyond satisfied with this product and I feel that the value of the product I receive is well worth the cost. I would recommend this product to others, especially individuals who are responsible for fundraising or donor tracking. This product is comparable to other software products and better than most.

Pros

This company offers personal coaching for non-profit users to best utilize the software to get the most benefit for your dollar. No matter what size company, this software can be personalized to fit your needs. The value of the software is determined by how the software is used. I prefer to implement just this software for all my needs and I eliminated spreadsheets, paper files, and all other reporting systems.

Cons

There were a few times that I needed to contact customer support and the hold time is sometimes a bit long. I wish there were more training resources for users to troubleshoot on their own.

Pros

Fundraising can be much more efficient and effective! This software offers an interactive approach to fundraising for your business. With helpful ideas, layouts, top of the line features, and much more, this software will increase the chances of your business easily surpassing their goals.

Cons

Of course with any new software, the only cons are getting a good feel of the program and understanding for how to use it and all of the features, but you will quickly catch on!

Donor Management for Dummies

We love using NFG overall. Very user-friendly, swift problem resolution with staff, lots of helpful tutorials and webinars. And improving all the time!

Pros

NFG donor management and online donation package is so clear, instructional, intuitive. We have enjoyed learning how to use it and maximize all the options offered.

Cons

The biggest complication was figuring out how to translate the donor information to our QuickBooks reporting system, but eventually we did figure it out with the help of someone in NFG. Turned out that the language NFG uses for certain categories and functions does not match accounting vocabulary.

Heather's Old Skool Village highly recommends Network for Good software.

Our benefit in April we collected over $32,000 by using Network for Good!!!! That is not to mention the other money we collected the day of the benefit, making a total of $105,000!!!

Pros

I am somewhat technically challenged! The support is wonderful to help resolve any issues I have. We recently had a benefit and it was so easy to collect monies online through the network. We also were able to send out reminders and acknowledgements.

Cons

It takes me a while to remember how to set up an event!! It's my problem and I know one phone call would resolve it, but I struggle on my own.

Outstanding value for any size charity!

Having the ability to host our donation management platform and our donation portal page with one entity is a money saver, too!

Pros

As the primary user of the platform at our charity, I find the ease of analyzing data and the process of generating reports and custom donor lists seamless, extremely use friendly, and are huge time savers for me.

Cons

As for the donor page, the one thing which is lacking is to have a corporate match functionality built into the process to make it easy for the donors to determine if their company has a program, how to find it, and how to engage it.

Pros

Their free fundraising library is a great resource for nonprofits to use. It is full of templates and webinars over an array of topics related to fundraising.

Cons

I used a trial version of the software and found that it was not easy to use and didn't compare to other platforms like Salsa Labs.

Great Fundraising Tool!

Pros

This is one of our essentials at the office. It has the perfect amount of functions (without having too many that we never used). We are able to take full advantage of all it has to offer! Fundraising pages are so easy to set up and attractive! It is also nice to have a fundraising coach! Being able to have one on one contact with someone helps our campaigns be there best!

Cons

We didn't take full advantage of having a fundraising coach if we chose to at the start, but now that we use one we can see a difference!

NFG Donation Software is a game changer

Increased efficiency and access to integrated fundraising tools that are all linked.

Pros

We switched to this software about a month ago after over 10 years with a different program. This has radically improved our ability to quickly interact with donors, acknowledge gifts, visualize trends, create appeals and other communications, and more! It has easy-to-use, integrated tools that have eliminated about 6 different subscription services we were using.

Cons

I haven't found much that I don't like. The NFG team is always there to assist with issues and is eager to hear about them so they can improve their product.

Excellent Donor Management System

Pros

Easy to use. If I ever have a problem I usually figure out how to fix it before I get a response from the support team.

Cons

The fundraising pages are very limited on what you can do with them. They are perfect for straight peer-to-peer fundraising or an everyday giving campaign but the ticketing page is only good for dinners or simple ticketed events. We have been trying to use it as a registration page for a 5K and it has been very difficult.
