The SignUp customer service is outstanding! They usually resolve my issues within just a few hours, even on a weekend. The user interface is very user-friendly. #### Cons I do not have any issues at all with SignUp. I just wish I had found them sooner. I was a previous user of SignUpGenius and my users really struggled with it. The list are easy to set up on the web version. The sign-up list are archived and can be copied for future use, which is a huge time savings for planning future events! I love that the site automatically send an email three days before an event date to remind people of their commitment. It also provides the ability to mass email anyone on the sign-up list with any additional information about the event or need. I also use the mass email feature to think volunteers and donors at the end of the event. They also have the ability to link several sign-up list under one URL to be shared with the outside world, creating a one stop shop for sign-up list for a given organization. #### Cons Character spacing limits cause me to be creative when posting the sign-up list description and volunteer/donated item titles. The system simplified how we make contact with people through email and text messaging. Invitations to participate and reminders to those who have signed up are automatic. It is also a secure system that provides privacy to my contacts and does not share their information with outsiders. We have used Signup for 5 years at my not-for-profit organization and we upgrade to ad free for 3 months during our busy summer season. I definitely recommend investing in the upgrade! Edits are easy to make and all of the descriptions to our spots can be modified as needed. Generating printable lists and reports to use at our volunteer events are ready in a click of a button. When I forget what steps to take to find what I'm looking for, or have a question, the program has complete and simple instructions that are easy to follow. We also get monthly, in advance reminders of the billing so that makes it easy to add or remove upgrades when we need to. #### Cons I am of the generation that grew up prior to computer technology so for me there is no such thing as "intuitive". I sometimes just click on things until I find the menu for the report and information I am looking for. If we were short of a volunteer to cover a shift at a particular centre we sent a message to the apps, it pinged on hundreds of phones and usually someone offered to fill the slot in seconds. Ours was one of the first counties in Wales to meet covid vaccination targets - ensuring there were enough wayfinder volunteers at each site to help process people safely was crucial to that success, and Sign Up ensured we could do it. Considering we had three vaccination sites across a rural area and a a very ambitious programme to vaccinate the population in a short timescale and had many hundreds of volunteers, we needed a system which offered effective scheduling, rapid communication and good reporting systems. Sign Up was the ONLY commercially available system to offer this for volunteers - HR software might have worked but was too expensive as it contained lots of features you do not need when mobilising volunteers. #### Cons Nothing! The software is perfect for the application it is designed for - mobilising and managing volunteering! #### Reasons for choosing SignUp.com There is no other comparable product. HR software can provide rota software but as it generally has lots of features not applicable to volunteers it is prohibitively expensive for charities to use to manage the deployment of volunteers. Sign Up is unique highly recommended. And there is a free version for small organisations with less complex situations! We need volunteers to assist students in a program called "Trout in the Classroom" that needs volunteers pretty much Monday through Fridays during April and May. The software allows volunteers to easily sign up (takes less than 30 seconds) and keeps track of the number of volunteers for any given day. No incentive was offered I have been using Signup.com (formerly VoluneerSpot.com) for 9 years now in my volunteer role as the International Baccalaureate (IB) & Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Proctor Coordinator for our high school. It has been an excellent tool for me and I am most grateful to your team. Signup.com has allowed me to successfully help my kids’ school find parent proctors to help administer the IB and AP tests for the past 9 years. On an average, I needed to fill about 160 proctor spots every exam season which is over a 5-week period in the months of April and May. Signup.com allows me to connect with the parents effectively and efficiently months before the exam period starts. It also helps me manage with ease once the parents start signing up. My organization has used it organize young volunteers to assist us in events. They volunteers are given a link to the sign up site, which makes sure the only ones given the ability to sign up are volunteers we've chosen or that other volunteers have deemed qualified. The amount of control I have but the allowance for volunteer autonomy is very useful. It was saved me a huge amount of time scheduling. #### Cons I found it difficult to enter the scheduling I wanted too when the same event was occurring at different times. While not specifically designed for this specific function (a high school class reunion), it worked spectacularly and not only helped people RSVP, but also commit with their payments and get automatic periodic reminders. It took the pain out of having to collect money in cash or checks, and eliminated the need to post "someone at the door" to collect, so that all of us could just enjoy the reunion when it arrived. Also the ability to generate the list of RSVPs (sign-ups) and share with others was terrific. #### Cons For us, gathering RSVPs but also collecting money, the process of going from one to the other could be improved as a few people signed up but didn't pay at first, and others paid at first but didn't "sign up." Users can manage multiple sign-up sheets, easily edit them as more participants are added, sort as needed, sync to digital calendars, and receive text alerts as dates approach. Creating and organizing events of all sizes is easy with this tool. #### Cons There is nothing I don’t like about this software.
