Whether you are a small organisation with a small volunteer team, or a national organisation with hundreds or thousands, if you are looking for a new system I strongly suggest you check out Vome. - Vome has helped us manage our current volunteer operations cutting down the administrative work down considerably and providing our volunteers with an easy to use app so they could manage their own schedules/training. - Additionally, the "forms" tool has REALLY simplified volunteer onboarding processes for both regular and one-time volunteers (saving me and the Cabbage Patch time, money and sanity!!!). Additionally, the "forms" tool has REALLY simplified volunteer onboarding processes for both regular and one-time volunteers (saving me and the Cabbage Patch time, money and sanity!!!). While it is not a perfect tool, it is really good for the services you receive for the price you pay!! Would recommend to other Volunteer Coordinators. #### Cons Figuring out the number of individual volunteers coming each month is a bit challenging as Vome keeps track of the number of attendees who come to the Cabbage Patch (new + repeat volunteers) but it takes a lot more work to figure out how many unique volunteers are attending over a period of time. Additionally, the app does not always work perfectly and I can never seem to successfully share shift links to my volunteers. Some things that we love is the customer service support as well as the team as a whole being extremely helpful and fantastic with our needs. I am able to set up a whole section for my trainers and that allows volunteers to sign up for the training very easily. If you change the size of the screen it will kick you out of pop up screens, the email is giving me troubles (but currently being worked on), sometimes when you click on something it won't populate, you have to click multiple times. For my Canadian clients the fact that it’s a Canadian company and all data is stored here weighs heavily in Vome’s favour, and my US clients love the high level of their data security. The check-in kiosk has been a wonderful resource, and it has helped to streamline our volunteer check-in/check out processes. Furthermore, the ability to customize categories and opportunities for volunteers has helped to increase volunteer interest. With all of our volunteer opportunities in one place, it's much easier for volunteers to look at all our available options. This centralization has helped bring in new volunteers, as well as increased the number of young adults interested in participating in our programs and events. Additionally, everyone on the Vome team is a delight to work with. Questions are answered promptly, and Vome is very receptive to customer feedback. In the time that we've been with them, Vome has added at least three new features and updated several others.
