An Absolute Must Investment for Personal Trainers / Gym Owners
The behavior change programs are outstanding. Even better is the fact that you can create your own or modify existing programs that sound like you and your brand, not someone else. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and their team do a phenomenal job of updating the software, the app, and continually pursuing "better" with the product.
CONSI'm old school when it comes to writing programs. Although CC's program builder is much better than anybody else that I've used, I still prefer writing my programs on Microsoft Word.
Reason for choosing Coach Catalyst
Much more robust (yet simple) and holistic. Again, you can tell this was built by coaches who truly get that this isn't just about working out and building training programs.
Reasons for switching to Coach Catalyst
Technically, I didn't switch. I was already using Coach Catalyst and at the time we didn't have the ability to build out programs so I gave exercise.com a shot. Exercise.com was a bit too robust, complicated, and didn't have what I call "coaching features" built into their program. What I mean by this is that Coach Catalyst is built by actual coaches (personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, whatever title you prefer to call yourself) and it's obvious.

A great platform for both me AND my clients!
A great product and excellent support make my job easier and my income higher!
PROSI tried multiple other platforms for months at a time only to be frustrated with the time it took to get set up and running. With Coach Catalyst, my clients were using the app in only 3 days!
CONSHonestly, I’m only sad it took me so long to find it. I honestly don’t have anything to report that I dislike. It may not be as robust as other platforms but they continue to add functionality regularly.

Too much stuff I didn’t need or use. My clients don’t need to see all the elements available to everybody. They only need to see what’s relevant to their program. And as far as programming, I did more in Coach Catalyst in three days that I did in other platforms over three months.

Coach Catalyst Great system for engaging with clients
Great. They are always adding functionality and making it easier to use
PROSEasy to use for admins and clients. New workout/program builder is excellent. Very easy to use and makes the process of writing training programs much faster
CONSSome features aren't available in mobile vs desktop. Navigation in mobile is not as obvious vs desktop

Keeps getting better
This software has allowed me to stop using google sheets to track client progress and share workouts. My clients have 1 app that they use to get workouts, daily accountability, store their personal data, and so much more. Before I was using multiple apps and/or google sheets to hold all this information.
PROSI love how easy to use as a coach and for clients. I have a few clients that are 70+ and are able to use the app with ease. I use all of the features offered and it doesn't feel overwhelming or too complicated. It is clear to use and works perfectly for my business structure.
CONSI'm looking forward to communities being added. I have run Facebook groups in the past, but so many clients don't use Facebook I don't feel like the group is much of an added benefit. The communities feature will hopefully fill that gap in my offer.
Reasons for switching to Coach Catalyst
I was using a lot of different apps but none of them did everything that I wanted them to do. When I made the switch to Coach Catalyst I was able to cancel all my other services and stop using google sheets to track any missing information.

We love coach catalyst!
Clients love the challenges and the workouts that we can deliver, along with any homework, on their calendar.
PROSThe customer service has been second to none--and most of the issues have been on my end, not theirs. The workout builder is super quick and easy to use and the preloaded challenges are very good and easily modified.
CONSI think the biggest weakness is the messaging system. Coaches don't like using a separate app for communication and clients prefer using texts. It's been a hard sell to get everyone to change.

I liked what I could tell about [SENSITIVE CONTENT]. They are committed to the industry in a personal way. The price point fit our budget and it delivered exactly what we needed without a bunch of stuff like scheduling and payment collection that we didn't need.
