ADP Workforce Now is a human capital management solution for companies with more than 50 employees. The core capabilities of the solution include human resources management, payroll, benefits, talent management, compliance, time and labor management and analytics and benchmarking.

The fully integrated suite is built on a single database, which automates data synchronization across different components and helps users to minimize manual administrative tasks. The platform also integrates with other HR and business applications via the ADP Marketplace and APIs.

It's expensive and only really worth the money if you are willing to use all the capabilities.

Pros

This product has a lot of capability and features that can help manage the full range of HR and Payroll tasks and give employees a good interface to track their information

Cons

A lot goes into setting it up and getting users to actually use it is not easy. You also have to be careful to keep some of the features locked down so employees cannot change their ACH bank account, email or phone number. This is imperative to prevent a hacker from gaining access through the user portal and then change information that can affect the employee's pay, benefits and more.

All companies must have a system like the ADP for employee. You get the monthly data as well as the YTD in details. Employee payment data is as accurate as the W-2 provided by the employer

Pros

It is easy to use and data is accurate. The system is upto date in term of the information that you received. Also, you received an email notifying your stub is available

Cons

So far, I don't have any complaints. It was a little bit difficult to coordinate the process but it was not ADP's fault.

If you are looking for a tool that can centralize and answer to all your HR needs then this is it. The portal is very customizable and you can set it up like a webpage for users to go and find all the tools, forms, and information they need.

Cons

I would personally love if there were a some prebuilt templates and layouts to choose from to organize the portal and make it look pretty.

I like the new upgrade where you can search an employee by first or last name. I like the new pay statements set up. The fact that emoloyees can change their password on their if they forget.

Cons

I miss the Archive filter. When we upgraded a lot of our information didn't transfer correctly and we ate still updating it to this date 10 months later.

It has everything a HR solo practitioner needs. I oversee 9 locations and we will be migrating all locations to ADP.

Cons

If you have a lot of HR/payroll duties that need tended to and you want to outsource everything ADP might work for you. I would have a look for sure.

Cons

What i have found with ADP is that there is still a lot of work that goes into preparing the data that gets to ADP. So if you think this is going to save alot of time, please check carefully. It depends on the functions you need ADP for.

There has got to be a better software package for managing time worked than this.

Pros

You can manage sick days, benefit agreements and vacation time as well as view benefit accruals and pay periods

Cons

The user interface is terrible. Instead of a unified dashboard, you have to pick supervisor, administrator or employee. And half of the time when approving time-off requests it just errors out and closes the browser.

Integration of punch clocks with the payroll system. There is no need to import or export files during payroll processing. Reports can be customized and are exportable to excel, pdf or csv format.

Cons

It is hard to manipulate or manually change the work hours without affecting the punch clocks. The punches change when the hours are manually changed.

Cons

It took our human resource department a little bit of time to create internal tracking procedures regarding state mandated compliance items. However, we were able to integrate this with Workforce now.

The biggest overall disappointment has been with the call center. I avoid calling it as much as possible as there is a difficult language barrier causing them not to fully understand the help that I am looking to receive.

Pros

The Employee Self Service is user friendly. It takes some workload off of the HR and Payroll staff since employees are able to access their own information.

Cons

We are not able to get the accrual set-up to work accurately. The carry over allotment is hit or miss if it's going to work or not. It needs to be set-up 100% accurately during implementation, going back to try and make corrections is not possible.

A simple application that can help with scheduling and allowing your employees get notification both the night before along with before their shift so that they know when they work without having to check their schedule daily. Love the simplicity and makes it easier to keep everyone on the same page.

Cons

May seem redundant with everyone using ADP and possibly having their schedules in email, however works better for those that are calling and texting always about the days they work. This application works best in those type of situations.

It allows me to easily manage my employees. It also allows managers/supervisors to be able to review information on their direct reports without having to contact HR. I like that I am able to give them access to only what they need.

Cons

ADP is constantly updating the software. This is a good and bad thing as we have a complicated company and with the updates, although it may fix one thing, it also messes up another. This leads us to have to be on the phone with our Account Manager or customer service for long periods of time to figure out what the issue is or to get a work around.

Were in the transition of leaving ADP because there were issues that needed trouble shooting pretty much every payroll run. The process itself takes hours just sitting on the phone with customer support.

Pros

There isnt anything good to say about this software.

Cons

The customer support is terrible. It takes them wayyyy too long to address anything. Its overpriced. The software is way too complicated. Much simpler payroll systems out there.

This software is the most user friendly software that I have used for payroll. I really like the fact that you are able to adjust your hours manually, versus most payroll software where it's a clock in/clock out system. It also makes keeping track of benefits and other HR related issues a breeze.

Cons

I always seem to have trouble with resetting my password. And that's more annoying that it is an actual problem.

Pros

I am still searching daily for the pro's I am sure they are there but it is overshadowed by their lack of customer service and overly aggressive sales force which will try to end run HR and get to executives at every turn to sell them products they don't need or understand.

Cons

Overly aggressive sales force obviously on commission with only ADP interest at heart. End run HR to executives to try to sell products executives don't understand and don't need.

Pros

Features are fantastic; ease of use is also great. The ability to go back 2 years for pay statements is an excellent option
