Extremely easy to use, I was up and running in under an hour. Very intuitive system plus there were plenty of online videos available to help clear things up.

Cons

I did feel like I was getting charged for things that other companies were providing for free, for instance some of the setup and year end fees. However the ease of use more than made up for this in my mind.

Pros

EASY TO USE/NAVIGATE. IT HAS MADE SOME PART OF MY WORK GO FASTER. IT'S NICE TO NOT HAVE TO ENTER DASHES AND SUCH WHEN ENTERING SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS AND SUCH.

Cons

A COUPLE THINGS THAT AREN'T AVAILABLE THAT WERE BEFORE, INCLUDING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS OF NEW EMPLOYEES THAT WE ENTER SHOWING THEIR EMPLOYEE NUMBER AND SUCH.

Cons

Feels like some data can be lost not because it isn't recorded but seems like unnecessary nesting. In order to look at Time Attendance for example, there are several clicks to get to that screen.

Intuitive software setup. Very easy to maintain and process payroll. They are able to set up and design your payroll to your specific needs.

Cons

Only complaint is that they seem to switch their support staff frequently. You get comfortable in your service provider and staff changes. Appears to be a lot of movement within the company to other positions. Also added the timekeeper module and it ended up being pricier than expected.

Paycor is rich in functionality. It does a great job in time keeping and has performed for payroll flawlessly once the bugs were worked out (which are inevitable when converting to a new system). Just about everything can be tweaked and changed to conform to a companies policies. You can drill down deep to give customized access to companies, groups, and even individuals in that you can assign a group to an individual, then customize their unique profile to give them access to the specific functions they need. The reporting is about as complete as you could want. There are standard reporting templates for just about anything you need, then you can customize these or build from scratch and keep the reports you want to use on a regular basis. Their help desk people are amazing and respond quickly with solutions. They are not hesitant to bring in other help desk employees if the answer is outside of their knowledge base.

Cons

Because the program is so rich in features, sometimes you need to use the 'Help' features to learn how to do something new, or refresh yourself. The 'Help' feature leaves a lot to be desired. When you search a feature, you usually get mostly questions from other users and even if you are very specific on what you are searching for, you often have to dig through a few pages to find your solution.

Aside from the following issues, I've had some very friendly & helpful service. I do not have other experience with programs/companies like this to compare functionality/quality so it is really difficult for me to discern some of the ratings.
1) Some people in the same departmental/hr vs t&a vs payroll areas do things differently so if your rep is busy and doesn't respond to your e-mails for a week, a new person does not understand some of your functions. 2) I've had trouble with my reporting features not providing correct information and it worries me that there might be even more higher priority type items that are also not reporting or working correctly. 3) The two sides are not cohesive, such as calling someone a manager on one side and a supervisor on the other. I like that you can make them two different people, but calling them different names is confusing.

Pros

Almost always receive friendly helpful service. There are many options for customization. Mostly an easy to read and use interface.

Cons

If you don't set it up, some of the additional benefit/functions are very difficult to understand. I often have trouble setting up various items and would like to have a preview/test button before I share something to everyone, etc. The "OK" button after punching in/out is causing many double punches from people pressing Enter on their keyboards. Many employees complained for the lack of insight & instruction to the changes on this when they were made and do not think this particular interface is user friendly.

I lie the ease of use and the customer service help.When I call, I don't have to wait a long time on the phone before I receive live help.

Cons

The software is expensive compared to similar programs. As a non-profit organization, our budget is tight. When Paycor comes out with new services, I want to utilize all of them, but I am usually stuck picking and choosing.

I used Paycor as an employee, and found it easy to navigate and helpful when I had questions or needed documents.

Cons

It has been about 18 months since I used it, and maybe this feature existed but I was unaware--but my biggest issue was remembering to clock in/out. If there was a way to input a schedule and receive push notifications to remind an employee to clock in or out, it might save on headaches and manual input later.

Cons

I used to use Paycor on a previous company that I owned with a lot of salesmen and technicians. I switched over from trying to manage the payroll on Quickbooks to Paycor and I’m glad I did. Paycor is a simple to use payment software solution to track, schedule, and pay all of your employees. The had a couple problems when I first began and the customer service was very helpful on guiding me to the solutions that I was looking for. We had some employees that were hours and some that were salary. The time stamp feature on this is simple to use and keep track of the hourly employees. It is nice because you can customize user privileges depending on the person. My sales manager needs higher privileges than my normal sales people. You can customize the reports and choose from a multitude of templates for these reports.

Cons

Some of the features and functions are little difficult to grasp right away. I would suggest calling their customer service to make sure you are utilizing everything on the software.

I like that I have to approve my timecard before my supervisor can approve. That way, there are mistakes made where my boss finalizes a timecard I haven't yet finished.

Cons

As opposed to ADP, the website isn't as sleek looking. It look busier and therefore more confusing. I found Paycor to take longer to save my entries, and sometimes won't save entries and I have to re-enter punches. I'm thinking that it's a problem to have entries that overlap, like 11 AM - 12 PM and then 12 PM - 1 PM as two separate entries. ADP didn't have a problem with this.

Paycor has solved many of my payroll problems. Now I don't have to remember people's names or any of their information because Paycor does it for me with their wonderful user interface.

Pros

Paycor has allowed me to process and create payrolls using a simple to use system. Paycor is intuitive and easy to learn. The templates and editing features for creating my own reports are wonderful, and that is one of the best strong suits of Paycor.

Sometimes when I have a very technical issue, the service rep can take a little long to respond.

The overall product is OK. Don't expect all of the bells and whistles because it is just not there regardless of what the salesperson says. If you are going to just use it to run payroll then it would be OK. Their applicant tracking system (Newton) is one of the best that I have worked with.

Pros

1. From the employees perspective, it is easy to use.
2. They are making big improvements to the app for smartphones and tablets.
3. It's very easy to approve time cards.

Cons

1. Their customer service is lacking because they have grown to fast and their CSR's are not very knowledgeable.
2. It's very hard to make changes to their processes without putting the burden back on the client to do.
3. Sales team overpromised its capabilities even after asking them direct questions on items that their platform just do not do.

I was an employee at Califonia Baptist University and we used Paycom to access our payroll information and we use to clock in using their devices. Paycom has advanced technology and friendly user for employers and employees. I can recommend it for institutions like a collegea with a lot emplyees.

Pros

Friendly User and access my paystub and history payroll is great.

Cons

Internet access is required and have computer.
