Kronos Workforce Ready is a single cloud-based solution that incorporates recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation planning, time and attendance, scheduling, absence management, payroll and more.

Pros

Kronos WFR has made timekeeping a breeze. My payroll goes so much smoother now that we use Work Force Ready.

Cons

The only complaint I would have is the lag time Kronos Work Force Ready gets about once every week or two. However, i will say Kronos is quick to
respond that they are working on the problem.

I love that Kronos has the ability to be all-encompassing for our needs. Time and data, labor reports, staffing etc. It has a really great modern design so it’s visually appealing to users.

Cons

Kronos is designed to be expensive. We are consistently paying more for build out help or reaching out to support. There are multiple ways to access nearly everything and if something changes, you don’t know about it until it suddenly stops working or creates a payroll issue.

Exceptional customer service support and updates! Great resources through Kronos Community. The notification that pops up once logged into Kronos is very helpful and provides relevant important information and reminders. Love how easy it is to create, edit, and share reports.

Cons

No major complaints. I suggest to continue to work on improving Workforce Ready so tasks can be completed with fewer clicks and less navigation. Another improvement would be to remove the current requirement to submit payroll two days before the payroll date. When a holiday falls somewhere within the week, it can become difficult and a bit of a time crunch to try to submit payroll in time. If you could change the requirement to submitting payroll one day before the payroll date, it would greatly help.

Wish the punch in was done by when you sign in and out of computer. Difficult to cancel staff pto time if they change days off. Schedule on phones should have different color scenes or dots for differentiating pto and holiday

accessible and ease of use, no matter where we are we are able to use, upload and perform task. Limiting time punches to the tablets is a nice feature. We are looking at face recognition next.

An Expensive Letdown

Honestly, just go with ADP and pay more. At least they will be able to help you more with compliance. Kronos was such a letdown and the system looks so antiquated.

Pros

Kronos has some good report features and a lot of the onboarding documentation is easy to collect. You do have the benefit of being with a larger company so they have more customer service people, too, and they have people who specialize in certain areas to give you better help.

Cons

Oh, there are too many to count:
- Their compliance features pale in comparison to ADP. They will say they can comply with all state-mandated sick-leave laws, but it requires so much manual work on the backend that you kind of wish you could just do it elsewhere. A huge pain if you operate in many states.
- Their "customized fields" that they tell you about in an RFP just don't exist. Anything you need done that doesn't fit within their standard guidelines just won't happen.
- If you like reporting on headcount and HR metrics the way that Kronos does it, you're fine. Otherwise you have to attempt to build a report with their service team (which can take weeks) and then export it and then get the data you want. It's just not acceptable given how much you pay for the service.
- Don't get me started on their "documents." If you need to send out a bulk request (i.e. when EEO season rolls around) Kronos can only send out a general reminder to have people check their inbox, and then people have to be smart enough to go in and do it. The reminders for this suck too.

The lunchtime clock in/out does not round like at the beginning and end of the day so unless you are gone an exact 1/2 hour or hour...you are left with weird amounts of time like .02 hours short or over.

My overall experience has been pleasant. We have had very little down time with the software and I have not run into a single problem with my employer about keeping track of the time I have worked.

Pros

The best part about the software is the ability to check in and out from my desk. I love the ease of signing in/out without using the time-clock at my hospital.

Additionally, the functionality of looking at current/previous time schedules to know exactly how much you have worked, how much over-time you are getting, and when paid-time-off is being used is excellent.

Overall the software works as it was intended and I have personally had no issues whatsoever with it.

Cons

I do not have any cons to report on this software.

The best thing about this is the accuracy of time tracking for labor hours. Biggest benefit is the ability to pull the Kronos data into extracts to be tied to labor and performance reports, which makes Kronos reporting on productivity very easy.

I use the Kronos time and attendance system at work, and I'm really digging deep here to find something I like about this... The software works and does its job (i.e., keeps track of work/vacation days through my timecard, functions as an online application for applying for vacation days).

Cons

The look-and-feel of the user interface is straight out of the '90s (e.g., information/ data overload on the webpage, tiny buttons, windows that cannot be resized for easy readability).

The information is not updated real-time. If I check my vacation balance right after applying for some vacation and getting an automated approval alert, my balance still shows up as unchanged and the days for which I applied vacation still show up as I'm working.

I'd never heard of it before I joined the company for which I now work, but I will use it here on out for the rest of my working life. I really like it, and its ease of use and ability to have everything in one place is really useful.

Pros

Kronos is intuitive, easy to use, and reliable. I like that it keeps all of our employee information in one, easy to access place. I can check schedules, request time off, check accurals, make requests, and do everything I need to do.

Cons

When there are updates to the app and its related hardware (like the timeclock), we invariably can't use it for a day or two. That can be frustrating, especially on busy days.
