Caremerge integrates with an existing electronic health record (EHR) system and performs resident assessments. Care plans are generated based on these assessments. It creates a profile and electronic calendar for individual residents. Information such as insurance provider, emergency contacts, personal documents, authorized contacts and care locations can be entered in the profile. Resident calendars can be updated with their medical appointments and social activities.
It is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. It offers a mobile app for iOS and Android devices. It is a family engagement application that allows residents’ relatives to view a feed of past and upcoming activities and to message staff for updates. Support is offered via email and over the phone. Other help options include webinars, blogs and videos.
The resident directory cannot be searched for specific names. The private message function is irratic. The site does not look professionally done. It's not clear what does or does not go out to everyone using the site. It seems as if it were programmed by amateurs. Had I been choosing, I would never have chosen Caremerge.
