Constant Contact provides a range of intuitive marketing applications designed to help small businesses and nonprofits expand their customer bases and nurture relationships. Solutions include email marketing, event marketing, social campaigns and reporting, survey management and offer management—all of which are available either independently or as part of an integrated suite called the Constant Contact Toolkit.

Constant Contact’s email marketing application allows businesses to import customer data from spreadsheets or email clients, such as Gmail and Microsoft Outlook. Email sign-up forms can be personalized and embedded on web pages or on Facebook to capture new contacts and build email lists. The system offers hundreds of customizable email templates with drag-and-drop elements and also includes real-time reporting features to track email opens, clicks, forwards, social shares and more.

Constant Contact offers both online and in-person seminars and training to help users improve their marketing efforts.

Constant Contact has the features I need to send out effective email campaigns. Some of the things I like are: multiple target email lists (you can send to more than one list per a given campaign), drag and drop designer functionality, customizable templates to match branding requirements, a large media library, reporting statistics and non-open resends.

Cons

It would be nice to have the ability to insert HTML code (for outsourced forms). As of now, I have to create an external link. Unfortunately, not many viewers want to exit the email anymore. I also wish the footer was more customizable, to match the overall color scheme of a campaign. Lastly, I would like to see the ability to select which campaigns to view in the reporting screen. If you send multiple emails for different divisions, it is (currently) impossible to report based on that department, only your account as a whole.

Overall, they're good and effective. Definitely worth a try. There are some better priced models with comparable features. Overall, constant contact has a lot of API options for other marketing integration platforms.

Cons

Sales reps can be a little misleading regarding what's included in each package,
Their policies for the amount of emails your allowed to send per month needs work and can be misinterpreted. Customer support does not handle these matters well.

Perfect for Updating Donors!

We use this product to reach out to those in our database. From recruiting for a mission trip, to telling of volunteer dates, to sharing a mission trip update story we are able to get in touch with people. I love the aspect of having separate groups that I can select to send stuff to separately or do a mass message. It also is great because it connects to our Donor Perfect and moves over contacts rather than having to manually insert them.

Cons

Only that I should have found it sooner!!! It has so many great features, from being able to upload personal images to use or to use their stock gallery. IT IS GREAT!

Constant Contact is an easy to use tool to build emails, I do like how they have different templates available and that you have the option to use HTML/CSS in those emails.

Cons

I wish that you could export emails as PDF's to print on one sheet of paper (scaling automatically). I also wish that there were more templates available with a wider selection of groups (newsletters, etc) more for the nonprofit industry.

This is a product we use often. We are constantly sending out blast emails and this is the simplest software we have used. It works great for all of our communications for a small entity.

Cons

We haven't really found anything we dislike about this product. Of course would we like the price to go down instead of a slight increase, yes, but that is not going to happen with anything.

Pros

This is a great tool to get reach all your clients. Monthly newsletters are quick and easy. Sending out invitations and tracking responses is the best I have seen in any other similar product.

Cons

The graphic options are limited. I would like to be able to create the graphics outside of Constant Contacts and import it into the program.

It's very easy to create professional looking e-mails, schedule them, test a few before sending. it's all rather easy. The editor places everything in exact areas and keeps everything in-line for mobile viewing and it's difficult to complain about the length of their free trial. fantastic to get to try something that long

Cons

It's very easy to create the exact same looking e-mails with different themes, there's a total lack of real customization in their editor, and the prices skyrocket almost immediately. and customer service abandons you the second they have your money. i was talked into subscribing when i had been awake working for 3 days straight. at no point did the saleswoman have human decency to say "you seem really tired, is there a better time to call?". She was rather insistent that i make the purchase immediately and i was so tired i just said okay to get her off the phone. then i went to use it, and i just disliked the experience overall. finding that there are many other options which offer 10-15 times the e-mail limits, better open ratios, far better editors and templates, and all for less than half the price.... when i asked for a refund and to close constant contact account within a day of being charged, i've been ignored.i just want my contacts out of there and a refund, seeing as i have not sent one single e-mail blast yet. i highly doubt i will get any response, and i will not be giving in to pushy salespeople again who take advantage of people half asleep to the point of hallucinating. it's not good software, it's just integrated a lot of places. don't be fooled. google the alternatives.

Overall I've enjoyed using Constant Contact. Whenever I have free time I login and play around with the features. I like that they offer classes and sometimes they are even free.

Pros

This software has made monthly newsletters less tedious. It has made designing the newsletter more enjoyable and easier. I like how you can use templates and easily edit them to fit your current "mailing". I also like how it syncs up with our social media accts. I no longer have to post them Constant Contact does it for me.

Cons

I wish you had a bit more control over some layouts. For instance not being able to change the width of certain columns when using a template. I would like more functionality in the app version so I could edit a newsletter while not in the office.

Cons

Depending on what you're using it for, and how many contacts you have, there is a cost. There are free apps that are, in my opinion, just as efficient.

Click and drag building blocks make the program so easy to use. Very intuitive. I could use it almost instantly. It saves me so much time.

Cons

Sometimes the preview of the newsletter I crafted doesn't match exactly what ends up in my email inbox. Just slight differences that I noticed.

Contstant contact helped create a very nice newsletter - professional and fairly easy to use. It is really more of a marketing tool than a communication tool. I just needed software that would allow me to send a professional email newsletter to vendors and this software does much more than that.

Cons

I felt like it was pricey for my business because I didn't need all the functionality. Also, the sales rep was persistent with phone calls about helping to set up a marketing campaign and I that wasn't what I was looking to accomplish.

Overall, it's a very nice platform for the ones that needs some ready templates to hit the email campaigns in a very short time. Easy and intuitive to use, though expensive.

Pros

One of the best part of this system is the high amount of the templates that can be used with just one click to setup the email campaign. That saves a lot of money and effort to get the designer for building up the templates. What's more, after the template creation, it's very easy to upload the contacts and even to segments them into the smaller groups for specific targeting. What's more, media and link storage makes it easy to maintain the ongoing email campaigns, so you don't need to upload the medias all over again for other projects. It has an excellent reporting systems in real time.

Cons

It's highly priced. Even though, this platform does a lot, I guess, it's way more expensive than it should be. Moreover, I hate sometimes not being able to edit the HTML codes fully.

Pros
