Favro is a project management and collaboration tool with which developers, marketers and executives can plan, track and evolve ideas. Designed to suit the size and needs of any project, Favro allows users to add features and integrations as they need them. Favro offers team boards, scalable backlogs and aggregated reports alongside built-in Kanban and SCRUM support.

Projects are broken down into different tasks using Favro’s breakdown feature, which allows each task to be monitored individually. The solution has a planning board in which employees can list their tasks and update other team members about task status. The planning board helps users see which projects are being planned versus being executed.

Favro’s cloud-hosted services are ISO certified and teams can opt into both two-factor authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) services from Google and Github. The solution is integrated with Google Drive and Dropbox to allow files to get attached to the planning board.

It's a positive experience and so far I've used it for two projects I manage (invited 20+ co-workers to join). I hope the integration with other tools especially JIRA are even more thorough (it's functional right now, but not to a point I can just rely on that without manual touches)

Pros

Features. Features. Features. It's fully packed with features I dreamed of in Trello and now all available and even better. The visual style is appealing and the product itself is solid

Cons

There're some rough edges in how the web app is loaded in the browser. For large boards it takes a long pause, sometimes so long that I wonder if the board is empty.

The pricing is on the expensive side. Lack of a personal / individual plan is also unfortunate so I can't use that for both professional and personal projects.

Moving from JIRA to Favro as a test. It works okay for small team, but not as robust as JIRA for bigger project, managing multiple team on same project and doing QA testing. 80% of the team doesn't like Favro and wants to go back to JIRA.

Pros

Ease of use and UX is well done.
The support is great and respond in a timely manner with useful feedback.

Cons

It doesn't scale well, managing big software projects is a pain. Can't really be used for QA. Everything is shared between projects, which is gets hard to manage when there are a lot.
For example, I would like to be able to create project groups that share the same cards and tags, but not for all projects.
It is lacking a lot of feature for reporting and planning. You can't print cards (The website says it does but the feature is not there)
Thankfully there is an API that is well made where you can use it for your own needs, thats what we did to be able to print cards, but it require additional work that shouldn't be needed when you pay for a product such as Favro.

As a freelancer, I need to be very well organised and manage expectations with customers, this tool has helped me to have more structure and introduce Agile in the way I work while keeping it simple and easy for customers to see what is happening with their projects.

Pros

It's simple to use and understand. I like how I can also manage a collection per customer and they can access and see everything with transparency

Cons

Sometimes it takes too much time to load, and some of what I'd consider most used navigation requires too many clicks, like adding a card from one collection's board to another.

It has been good overall - I think they just need to making updates and improvements more often.

Pros

I like how it flows and how cards can be in multiple areas. I like how the cards can be built out and be pretty custom. While we haven't been able to get them 100% for our needs - we've been able to get close. I also like how you can see a full history of everything that has happened. The workflow rules are nice (these seem pretty basic though - would love more options for these).

Cons

I'll be honest, I don't know the history of Favro or how long it has been around. We've been using it for around 4-5 months and it is replacing some of the other tools we were using. But the impression I am getting from it is that it is still in a beta phase. The main bones are there but it could really use additional features, or improvements made to the ones there. I haven't seen a single update since I've started using it in this time, and when you reach out asking if Favro does something they are helpful to offering other ways you can use the tool if the feature you want isn't available, but if the feature isn't there they just say they will make note but don't offer any other information. As someone who also works for a SAAS company I am not expecting any etas on anything, but having been almost 5 months and no updates to anything have happened it makes me wonder what's going on...

One of my biggest pet peeves is with the custom fields, I wish there was an option to hide them from the card face because on some of our teams we had to stop using them because it made the cards too long. This was disappointing because they were super helpful, but when you have 30-40 cards in one lane - it's a lot to scroll through.

Something else that needs improvement is alerts and knowing what all is assigned to you. I could have 100+ cards at one time and "my feed" is not an easy way for me to see what all I need to do.

Cons

Not possible to retrieve much statistics even using the Advanced Search/Reports functionality. There is no "Archived Date" or "Is Archived" columns that would enable metrics like WIP, lead time, throughput etc.

We needed a tool to help manage the production of hundreds of website clients. This tool allows for that, and what's more, we can create different boards for the different departments that each project follows through. The problem, however, is that we need to be able to filter reports by member and tag (for productivity reports) but the reports available aren't able to be isolated that way. The drag- drop function also gets tedious when you have more than 10 cards in every row.

Pros

I like the at-a- glance view of projects and lists.

Cons

In a company and department like mine that has anywhere from 50-100 separate projects at a time, the board gets lengthy and big very fast. There's no condensed view and the reports you can run are limited. Filtering is nice to show a smaller sampling, but you can't use other functions while viewing workflow in a filter.

Favro works, but I haven't been very happy with it because I can't fit more than a few cards on the screen since the widths are fixed and they take up a large percentage of the space for little reason. It's a joke that I can't have more than 2 columns visible at a time.

Pros

collections are a cool and useful feature. I like the flexibility.

Cons

The cards are not responsive to the screen. The page is set to horizontal scroll instead of fitting the width of each card so that every column can fit on the screen. Moving cards messes up their order when being dragged around because cards moving into other columns don't automatically drop to the bottom, they can go anywhere.

Additionally, the card number / ID, doesn't show up on the card itself unless you open it or resort to adding it as a custom field and type the ID by hand for every ticket. Are you kidding me?

Pros

We use Favro mostly for the detailed time tracking software - to push out reports at the end of each working week.

Cons

It would be good to have collapsable rows in each collection to make the board more compact.
We are making new collections per project as we like the collapsable lanes.
Sometimes when we have finished with a project we want to move it all under one collection like an older archived list but obviously, can't put a collection in a collection.

It would also be useful to put the cards into a scroll list like Trello. As the pages become very long to get to the bottom when there are a lot of cards on one list.

Another useful feature would be to add 'cost' onto the card, as well as estimation and time sheet.

Trello also had the option to search for all boards in the top right. I can only search for another board or collection when on a collection. If I am on a singular board, I can't get use the search feature.

I have a bit of a hobby of testing different project management tools. It's the never-ending quest for the more organized, more efficient, and easier to use holy PM grail. Favro is pretty close. Working with all kinds of creatives and clients is hard when everyone has different needs when it comes to management software. Favro is easy to customize and make it user-friendly for just about every user. This customization makes it easy to make your own and set things up while still collaborating with others on the team.

Cons

I wish there were an easier way to manipulate the calendar on this app. Adding and subtracting dates and adding scheduling would be nice.

As an avid TRELLO user, Favro came in and fixed several key issues that TRELLO didn’t offer. The ability to create dashboards and to have an age on our cards made all the difference when it came to managing our projects.

The service supports the joint work of several people and in this it significantly benefits the competition. This is convenient when there are several accountants working on one project in our state in parallel. All the necessary functionality for project management is present: you can make reports, evaluate and much more and all this is done easily and quickly, just a few mouse clicks. In general, the application helps us save time, and accordingly, money.

Cons

Unfortunately, there is no Russian localization in the application. In addition, Favro exists exclusively in the web version (although today it is already considered the norm) and because of this, in convenience of use is inferior to its competitors.

It’s something my whole job is built on. Can’t live without it.

Pros

I love this software. It provides the structure for my scrum team and yet is flexible like Trello. The boards within our account all share a common incremental numbering system so we can refer to cards and have a logical link to them we can share with people outside the company.

Cons

I don’t like that you have to click to save some items and hitting enter on the keyboard works other times. It’s not consistent. But the staff are quick to answer questions and add new items to their bug list.

I got a helper to organize my daily work. Also, my team is better organized and communicated.

Pros

I like the way to organize tasks. Also, the communications between the users who are involved in the tasks. I think it's very flexible when you want to order your daily work, you can make cards or just a backlog.
Finally, there are a lot of custom fields you can add to the cards in order to help understand the work.

Cons

I think it hasn't a good tutorial to start using the tool. Also, the backlog should be more flexible in order to make some backlog childs.
