User-Friendliness at its best

We had been working with a different tool before but weren't happy with it. We were looking for a project tool that would fit into the software infrastructure we were already using, that included features that cover the entire project cycle and is still easy to use. After testing quite a few options we chose InLoox because it integrates perfectly with Outlook and for its user-friendly interface. Instead of training my team on how to use the software they were able to work with the tool immediately.

Great Software, Great Support

Pros

The Outlook integration is phenomenal! Not only the integration with the groupware itself, but also that it integrates into the infrastructure we already have in place. Another plus is that the program doesn't force you to adopt a formal project framework. It lets you use just the features you need, and you can work in a way that adjust to existing processes. I found their staff particularly helpful. The consultants really listen to their clients and provide hands on support as needed.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything I dislike about the software or the vendor.

Great Software, Terrible Support

Pre-purchase experience was great. After the purchase is where the problems, and accompanying headaches, started. GLAD TO BE DONE WITH INLOOX.

Absolutely zero support. Despite cancelling my subscription/license, the company continued to renew the license for two years, threatening legal action if not paid. Very poor customer service, tech support and administration. BE WARY

Great, easy to integrate software

My team and I used to use Microsoft Project, which was convoluted and simply too complex for our needs. I tested out InLoox as well as a variety of other softwares, and settled on InLoox because of its ease of use and familiar interface (it integrates with Outlook). We already use Outlook as our primary platform for emails, scheduling etc. so it was great to see a tool that expanded on those features rather than reinventing the wheel. InLoox synchronizes key project dates and info. Everything is stored centrally so that we always have access to it, which is huge when somebody is out of the office. Scrambling to decipher each other's excel worksheet schedules is a thing of the past. I even figured out a good way to keep track of my team's vacation time with the tool! Support has been great so far, the representatives at the company are always friendly and help me out quickly if there is a problem.

Stable, easy-to-use Outlook-integrated project management software

Out of all the PM solutions we tested, InLoox was the most stable and easy to use. Also, the seamless Outlook integration really makes switching to InLoox easy. Pros: - great value for money - ideal for teams that are already using Outlook and use email to communicate - we really like that you can attach emails and files to tasks/projects and that is then indicated in the email - you never lose track of documents - our developers like the Gantt chart, the marketing guys like the mind mapping feature - easy implementation and regular updates - super friendly and helpful support team Cons: - The list of functions needs to be improved - We'd love to see risk management implemented - More help/tutorial videos would be great, though customer support is really excellent
