Google Meet Software

Google Meet is a video conferencing app. It is the business-oriented version of Google's Hangouts platform and is suitable for businesses of all sizes. The solution enables users to make video calls with up to 30 users per high-definition video meeting.

The app allows users to join pre-scheduled meetings from calendar events, choose a link, enter meeting code and even dial in from their phones if the invitation includes a phone number. Google Meet integrates with G Suite versions of Google Calendar and Gmail and shows the complete list of participants and scheduled meetings. It shows a "join" button for users to connect to the meeting and provides options to mute and turn off the video during the meeting.

Google Meet allows users to dial in phone numbers to access meetings, thus enabling users with slow or no internet connection to call in. However, dial-in numbers are only available to the G Suite enterprise edition customers.

Great collaboration platform, especially for the price (or lack thereof!)

Pros

Video conferencing with someone is as simple as entering their email address. This is a great option when conferencing with clients and other industry professionals that are not on the same conferencing platform.

Cons

Video quality felt like it could be improved, and if you run into an issue it is typically faster to post on message boards to find help than it is to contact Google's support team.

Pros

What I like most about Google Meet is that this platform is one of the best to be able to make video calls and conferences, in this way it provides the users with an integral quality in each video transmission, it is something really fantastic.

Cons

What I do not like about Google Meet is the long time it takes to establish a video call connection, it is true that being on the call, everything changes, and it becomes somewhat faster, but has many erorres when connecting in video call with another person

Value for Money

Pros

Google Meet has the best video quality that can be in the video call market, and also, it offers stability in every group call that is made, generating trust in the customers, since the interferences here do not exist, everything is done in a way fluid and without errors.

Cons

I would like Google Meet to incorporate a chat, so that people can communicate through other means, this would generate a better confidence among the users who are in the call and will give them the opportunity to ask anything.

Ultimately I'm a big google fan and will be using G-Meet for all my calls and collaborations on our projects as some individuals live out of state.

Pros

Pretty happy with how simple and easy it is to use. I needed something more reliable and haven't had too many hiccups yet. I mostly use it for conference calls and find it extremely helpful to be able too share calendars and see availability when setting up a call. File sharing is a breeze, love how I can see all the changes made and stay up to date when multiple individuals are working on the same project.

Cons

Simple is good and bad. Wishing there was a little more flare to some of their features to beef up my presentations. Again easy is the best but sometimes that cuts out the enhancements.

G Suite has helped us reduce costs associated with the need to upgrade or purchase new software, since it is regularly updated and included in the per seat pricing.

Pros

G Suite provides all that a company needs to work effectively. Whether it's a document or sheet, or sharing and collaborating G Suite has helped increase the productivity of the organizations I have introduced it to. The ability to access the Suite from anywhere, anytime (there is internet access) allows our teams to work whenever the time is right.

Cons

It's not what I like least about the software but about the perception of a cloud-based software when introducing or transitioning new team members from a locally hosted software. For many who have been working for years with MS Office, it seems difficult for them to wrap their heads around a software which works from a browser, and only when there is internet present. It's difficult to change their perception but not impossible once they understand the ease of use and the benefits.

G Suite's collaboration function have allowed our editors to converse, change and collaborate directly with our writers in real-time via Docs. That is a HUGE benefit for us so we don't have to resort to webcams, which can be unreliable or use too much bandwidth time.

Pros

G Suite (formerly Google Apps) is something we have been using since our server host began to allow domains to utilize it. We are on a super-free and charged 200 user account, more than enough for our purposes. It combines every single core function we need, from GMail, the entire Google office suite, Drive and really, the entire Google ecosystem for small business and enterprise.

As an admin, G Suite offers incredible granular control of the entire system, right down to app access, password changes and enforcement, the ability to add accounts, up to the limit a given plan specifies and a vast third party outside marketplace to extend the abilities of G Suite with a variety of apps that Google has vetted.

Cons

If you use Android smartphones, G Suite does not allow users to leave reviews on the Play Store and certain key functions of Google Assistant are deprecated for G Suite users such as dictating and searching for emails on the Gmail App via Assistant.

I have been in meetings where people called in and it seemed like a good experience. I have used Google's Docs and Drive to keep track of requirements and work, and love it a lot. I can easily share things to my coworkers through Gmail and Drive. It's all really great and easy to use.

Pros

It has a lot of connectivity. Each piece talks to each other pretty seemlessly. And it allows team members to collaborate more efficiently, via shared documents and hangouts attached directly to meeting reminders on their calendar. You don't have to search for some email reminding you how to call in to a meeting, there's a link right there in your calendar! And you don't have to print out 6 drafts of a document now, you have your team all log on to a shared Doc and edit together.

Cons

There's nothing in particular that I don't like. Some functionality does not fully translate from, say, Microsoft's line of office software, but honestly Google's alternatives have grown in different ways and surpass Office on a few other levels. Also, having your files out on the Internet inherently opens them up for attack. At the same time, though, Google is pretty secure.

Universal SSO and user management, GSuite turns an average small company into a global powerhouse. We couldn't do 1/10th of the work we do at the speed we do it without GSuite.

Cons

Odd things you can't do that you'd expect it to be able to.

Pros

I love the integration with my web browser and gmail so I can easily swap between gmail and google docs when I need to
