No incentive was offered After using Auvik for a couple of years, I find it to be really useful for alerts which are easily customised and paused. It does such a good job at providing us with a dashboard to gain some insight into our switches and such and does so in a very pretty way. We've used it multiple time to track down problems and see when things aren't working correctly. #### Cons I have no complaints about Auvik, it's been rock solid. I get those adds for Auvik saying sign up for a webinar and get a free Ubiquiti Switch and think dang, I wish I could sign up for that again! I never got a cool toy to play with, just a really helpful tool. In all seriousness If you are shopping for a tool that will assist your Team with managing, Alerting, and creating a Standard tool for troubleshooting then Auvik is hands down a solid product I respect and would recommend. Auvik and 1Password are really the only two companies I even care enough to write a review for if that says anything at all. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 4/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros One of the Biggest Pros for me is that Auvik is a tool that's simple yet powerful and is very easy to get going. It's not like other tools where you need to go through a month of training to understand it. As a MSP Network Engineer Auvik has helped me gain a better insight to my environments. Its lightweight deployment and has plenty of awesome features like the remote access tool which I love. #### Cons It has its issues especially when it comes to the customization of Alerting. That being said there is good news, Auvik recently launched Alerting 2.0 which allows much more customization. Hopefully they will release the predefined alerts in 2.0 versioning. It's great for fast troubleshooting and insight. No incentive was offered Overall, my experience with Auvik has been completely positive. It is a fantastic tool for network visibility and proactive monitoring. The user-friendly platform has provided us with real-time visibility to work faster through network issues. I have had some minor challenges with CLI parsing and credentials, but there are more positives than negatives to Auvik. Site separation is one of the best features, as it easily allows for managing networks across sites. The automatic network subnet scanning feature is highly efficient, it identifies connected devices in a very timely manner while keeping the topology updated in real time. The software has saved me many hours of troubleshooting, configuration recovery, and looking up how to access a device (since anything CLI can be directly managed in the GUI). Their front-end integrates via SAML, so security and identity can be managed easily.
