Bill.com is a cloud-based accounting solution specializing in billing and invoicing. With Bill.com, users can receive payments from clients, pay vendors and contractors and handle financial reporting.

Bill.com includes an accounts accounts payable module, where users can be invoiced electronically, or they can use drag-and-drop functionality to manually enter bills. Then, invoices may be sent to team members for review. Different payment methods, including ACH payments and paper checks, are available.

The solution also includes an accounts receivable module, which can send customers automated electronic invoices and reminders. As with the accounts payable module, users can choose the method by which they would like to receive payments: via ePayment, ACH, credit card or PayPal.

Bill.com is integrable with other accounting solutions such as QuickBooks, Xero and Intacct. Users can handle customer support through the app, answering customer questions using a notes and comments feature.

The solution is priced per user per month.

GREAT Invoice and Accounting Softward

It has helped me customize my invoices and keep everything in one place which I like. I'm a beginner with accounting and it's not generally my thing. Now that I have my own business that I'm working on growing, I need to be more involved in this process. Bill.com makes it easy!

Pros

I love that this software makes it so easy to connect with businesses that I work with. I love the flexibility with invoicing and how it keeps track of my incoming revenue. I love that I can go in and add to an existing invoice and save it for next time to continue adding.

Cons

I am currently using the free version and started about a month ago. I have not found it easy to change things like my address and other things that should be pretty easy to navigate.

I am enjoying the simplicity of the Bill.com App

Pros

I am using Bill.com to track my hours and get paid as an independent contractor. The company I work with selected it as their choice for contractors to receive payment. So far I am really enjoying it. I have not had any issues with the app or getting paid. On my end, as a user, it is like a set it and forget it type of situation. I set up my account, entered my bank info and that's it. It took very few minutes to set up and was easy as well.

Cons

I do not have any cons to using the app, my experience so far has been good. I have not had any technical issues or problems with the app.

Easy Receivable management & bill payment

Pros

Its very easy to use, it allows user to easily setup account and allows access to statements, receivable balances & bill payment status

Cons

Price as per my requirement is high for features offered by Bill.com, I think plans are for big organisations/business & not suitable for small business.

Makes using QuickBooks Online easier

I have a variety of clients and some of them that use QuickBooks Online use bill.com to help process payments to vendors. It really automates the process and saves time.

Pros

I like the fact that bill.com integrates with QuickBooks Online. I'm a QB ProAdvisor and often times have clients that need a solution to streamline their business processes. Fortunately, bill.com helps automate your business.

Cons

The pricing initial seems a bit expensive, however if you figure that bill.com could replace an employee or a portion of what an employee would do for you, it's a great value.

Good idea, but poor support and answers from company

Great concept but if you don't have the customer support in place this whole process is useless. Other companies out there supply the same support and my advice would be to seek out those companies as for the price and service you get, it's well below where it should be.

Pros

Set up isn't very difficult and linking to QBO is easy, ability to set different approval levels is a great feature for segregation of duties

Cons

Awful customer support. Can't talk to anyone on the phone, just thru chat. They send a client of mine an email saying the following: "We are writing to inform you that Bill.com is no longer able to offer services to xxxx based on a review of the account and activity. Your account has been deactivated and canceled. You will not be charged for any subscription fees for the current period. " Tried to follow up to get answers, no response, chat people just say they can't help. No explanations given. Also two weeks prior to this they had issues with sending out approved payments so we had vendors calling asking where payments were, awful experience with this group

Amazing Product! killing it Bill.Com!

Bill.com is everything that our company needed to help us on the accounting side of things, it has brought simplicity and efficiency where we were lacking.

Cons

Paperless company with Bill.com

Pros

Everything is on the cloud, so you don't have to use paper and lost track of where the invoice went. Improves the communication with user and approvers.

Cons

If we had the payment by another via, there's no way to put that the invoice is already paid.

Payables with Bill.com

Our bill paying is highly automated thanks to Bill.com. Highly recommended.

Pros

Bill.com is great at managing payables. We have about 80% of our vendors now on ACH via Bill.com.
Integrating nicely into Xero (also into Quickbooks).

Cons

We would like to see a three way match in this product.

Overall terrible product

Bad, frustrating, unacceptable

There is nothing NOTHING that I like about this product!

Cons

I have been trying to set up to receive payments. I verified my bank account. (It asked me for a second phone number to send a verification code. I am a sole proprietor no second phone, what genius thought of this!) I have not been able to set a default bank account to get paid. When I go to support is is like reading the encyclopedia Britannica, TERRIBLE. In one instance it tells me to go to Overview an click on Finish Bank Account Set Up. That is nowhere to be found. This is a terrible I would not recommend it to any of my clients.

Overall, my experience with Bill.com has been great. It is a very easy user interface and makes paying bills easy.

Pros

Bill.com makes it really easy to make payments to our vendors. We can easily make payment via check or e-payment. Being that we use Xero, Bill.com easily syncs down into Xero.

Cons

The one con would be that you can't do foreign currency payments via Bill.com. They only support USD transactions.

Best Invoice software

Clients for contracts can send me money and I will receive it on time.

Pros

I always had issue inderstancing how to do Invoices and this makes it easier for freelance work

They contacted my client DIRECTLY!

Nothing! They misrepresent themselves and lie about what they are doing. They need new salespeople or need to let the ones they have know that this will not increase sales. I'm reporting them to Quickbooks Online

Cons

I was only researching the software for a client through Quickbooks Online. My client and I decided it was too expensive and there are other payment services that are more effective so we decided to not download the product. Today, however, someone from Bill.com called my client directly at his place of business and tried to pressure him into purchasing. He misrepresented himself by saying that he 'works with me' and that was why he was calling! It totally jeopardized my relationship with my client! I'm horrified by these practices.

Poor Customer Service

When we used this software to pay vendors, they disliked the set-up greatly and most of them ended up asking us not to send money via BIll.com. Their customer service team offers generic responses to complex questions, and this is frustrating.

Pros

The program was easy to implement for A/P use.

Our customers did not like the lack of support the website offered.
