Hanelly

The use of Hanelly Org design has been positive across our organization. Users appreciate the fact that they can have a view into our organization by solid reporting lines and functional reporting lines. This makes the view into the organization much clearer.

Pros

The Hanelly solution met our requirements to have different views into our organizational structure - solid reporting lines as well as functional reporting lines. We originally implemented Hanelly on-premise and connected to our global SAP HCM system. After implementing SuccessFactors, we moved Hanelly to the cloud and the transition was seamless.

Cons

I would prefer if customers could do more in terms of system configuration rather than needing to depend on Nakisa development resources.

Most user-friendly org design solution on the market

Prior to working with Nakisa Hanelly, building updated org charts and implementing changes for a single division could take days to accomplish manually. Today, updates for the entire organization take only a few hours to complete. Nakisa Hanelly also allowed the organization to identify pre-existing errors in reporting lines.

Pros

Nakisa Hanelly’s out-of-the-box dashboards provide us with access to a single source of current, accurate data, as well as the ability to leverage dynamic filtering on advanced analytics supporting our organizational design and workforce realignment strategies.

Cons

The export function (to PowerPoint and PDF) shows organograms per level in the organization. It would be great if their was another functionality that could export it on a business unit/department level for the entire organization. However this is a minor "con" as there are workarounds to get this view by simply expanding on specific business units/departments and then exporting the organograms.

A simple tool to use ensuring data led decisions are made around org design.

We did not have a system like this in place previously and we are therefore starting to see used cases that we require this tool for.

Pros

Simple tool to use and navigate around. The scenario creating is a distinct feature that this tool can offer and therefore assist in making future decisions in the business.

Cons

The tool can be manual, the system is not integrated with our additional systems and requires a monthly upload of our data. There are work around's in place at the moment that we are currently working through with Nakisa Hanelly employees.

Powerful organisation chart solution

Quite easy to find key information about business units and employees

Pros

The ability to find out more detailed information about various employees in the organisation and to see which department codes they were under and to see what other teams are based around them

Cons

You need to understand how the journey works when trying to find out user and department information - searching could be more intuitive

Using Nakisa during merger & acquisition

Pros

We used Hanelly after the merger of our organization. I really like the fact that we could simulate organization changes in a scenario, working with business leaders. It was very easy to drag and drop position to the design the appropriate structure. The automatic write back feature that allow us to automatically import updated org structure in SAP Success-Factor was also very useful.

Cons

The product was having time to time some technical glitches.

Review of Nakisa Hanelly Org. Charting Software

Pros

After spending time investigating multiple solution options and discovering none met our needs without customization, a colleague suggested we look at Nakisa. Nakisa Hanelly gives us the advanced organizational charts we need, fully integrated to and complimentary of our HCM solution, and with great visualization out of the box.

Cons

There is a learning curve, as with most software. The menus and icons require practice to remember and navigate successfully.
