Patch Manager Plus by ManageEngine is a cloud-based patch management software for small, midsize and large enterprises. It is suitable for businesses in banking, finance, IT services, health care, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, military, government, logistics, education and media/entertainment industries. Primary features include patch tracking, patch deployment, patch testing, patch compliance and reporting.

Patch Manager Plus allows users to detect missing patches, test patches, deploy them and provide detailed audit and compliance reports. It can deploy patches to above 250 third-party applications including Adobe, Java, WinRAR and more. Other features include service pack deployment, role-based access, antivirus updates, server application patch management and two-factor authentication.

It is available in a subscription and one-time license pricing option. It is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. Support is offered via email and over the phone. Other support options include FAQs, a knowledge base, user guides and demo videos.

    Do you have all whole pictire of the status of your device, the straight forward setup and function is very easy, you can have the status of romaing users and can patch many brands

    Don have a kind of liveupdate to apply service pack to the server

    Simplified Patching Management

    It has saved us a lot of time with updating our computers. It is nice to have one place to manage all updates for Windows and OSX.

    Pros

    Easy deployment of clients. Updates 3rd party apps such as Chrome and Firefox. We are now able to manage the updates of our Apple computers as well. It has made keeping our computers updated much easier while taking less time by the technology staff.

    Cons

    Takes a little while to get use to and figure out the interface. Not a real con as I just was trying to figure it out without any tutorials.

    PMP has become an essential administrative application which improves security and saves time and energy.

    Pros

    Automation tools. The 'Automate Patch Deployment' mechanism of the software is instrumental in maintaining secure infrastructure without sinking time into manually managing updates.

    Cons

    The setup, teardown, migration and maintenance of the software in an on-prem installation using built-in binaries and tools can be clunky and hard to understand.

    Good product for a great price!

    Great all around. The program has been out for a while and it very polished. There have been instances where I needed support and was able to get it very quickly, which is very nice.

    Pros

    It is very easy to setup and use and it costs next to nothing which is a huge plus. It does 3rd party updates which WSUS does not do, so it is a great package.

    Cons

    I cant think of any deal breakers. The software doesnt constantly need to be updated and seems to be rock solid from my experiences.

    Great idea...but still needs work

    Management of devices. Adding clients. The GUI/web interface is great. The listing of patches needed is great too.

    Cons

    Support is very slow to respond. Considering it’s email. The product feels clunky when deploying software and configuring. Not very straight forward and again. Support is virtually non existent.

    ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus very well updates Microsoft software like WSUS, but also allows us to automatically update other software. Software installation is also great.

    Cons

    There really is not much that I do not like about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus but technical support is at a very low level.

    Inexpensive but Effective

    It is very easy to set up and once you do, it pretty much runs itself. We are a smaller company so it took us about 2 days to set it up.

    Cons

    We tried to run it in AWS and had issues with downloading patches. We moved it to an on-premise server and it worked much better.

    ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is easy to implement solutions for patch management for Windows system works quite well.

    I think that the technical support model can be improved. The system also has too few reports and dashboards with aggregate information.

    We use ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus to updating Windows systems and many other applications system works quite well.

    Sometimes we have problems with updating non-English applications. I also think that the reporting module can be improved

    The software lets you test patches before deployment to mitigate security risks as well as scan an detect endpoints to detect missing patches.

    After testing and using this product their are no cons about it. It does what it says and is very easy to use.

    Make sure it's complaint with Cyber Essentials, as I'm not sure it is yet. That's a UK regulatory thing.

    Pros

    Pretty great software, especially for the price. Would tightly recommend going for the full desktop central product as it does even more. Support is pretty good and usually responds / sorts problems quickly

    Cons

    While overall good. There lack of a UK office makes things difficult from a support perspective as working in different timezones can cause delays.
