Pros/Cons
Pros
- Patch My PC has an extensive catalog, superb integration with Intune, and a fantastic support team. You just check a few boxes of the apps you want to patch and within 2-3 minutes apps are in Intune.
- It is easy and intuitive to use. Overall i highly recommend Patch My PC for anyone looking for an easy and effective way to keep their environment secure and up to date.
- All aspects of Patch My PC have been great. The product was easy to deploy, the support is great, and it was by far the most inexpensive solution we found.
Cons
- We have encountered disruptions caused by PMPC, particularly with certain Adobe updates that caused problems for a portion of our users, including our CFO.
- It was highly frustrating that such issues arose, especially considering the widespread installation of Adobe Reader throughout our environment.
- Have yet to find a feature or function that I dislike.
Pros
- User friendliness and ability to pinpoint projects easily and time associated with each. I also like being able to transition ownership based on the stage of the project.
- That it is really user friendly; never heard of Ravetree until I began working at The Bookkeeper. Wonderful tool to track and prioritize tasks.
- The comment section of RT is where I spend most of my time. I love the ability to comment and tag people directly in a conversation.
Cons
- I have trouble finding tasks that I have marked complete. If i don't know the specific name it's hard to find them.
- The lack of stability and the appalling support.
- It's a mystery why that aspect of PM is so neglected by many other apps.
