PTminder is a cloud-based fitness training solution that helps gyms, studios and personal trainers manage day-to-day activities. The tool can be accessed on mobile devices through the mobile app available for iOS and Android phones. PTminder enables training studios to manage administrative tasks and front-desk operations such as client management, reminders and payment processing.

PTminder allows trainers to publish their class schedule online so that clients can view the schedule and book classes themselves. Automatic SMS and email reminders are sent to all clients. Clients' performance, fitness goals and other information can be tracked online by trainers in real time.

PTminder offers calendar scheduling to manage the trainers' schedules. It also collects payments from clients by accepting debit and credit cards. Other features provided include performance reporting, online client store, integration with existing website, client assessments and setup of trainer accounts. PTminder offers payment integration with DebitSuccess, PayPal, Stripe and Ezidebit.

    Great for creating classes. Easy to track direct debits. Easy for members. App is everything you need and nothing you don't.

    Simple to easy. Lots of common sense based programming. Customer service is fantastic.

    I love that is is so easy to use and I can use it anywhere from my iPad or mobile. This program makes my life so much easier!

    Cons

    I haven't found anything yet that I dislike about this program. It's super easy to navigate, easy to access while you are on the phone to clients.

    Very helpful in running a group fitness or personal training business to keep everything organised.

    Pros

    Great value product with all the features you need to track and manage clients (group or personal training). Ease of use is very good and the software is very practical. Not overpriced like many other similar software providers. With some help from customer service, I was able to integrate PT Minder for my clients with my existing website. They are fantastic in customer service, very friendly, helpful and reply very quickly. I run boot camps and this software is great for me. Would highly recommend this product.

    Cons

    The assigned workouts (workout planner) is pretty simple, no pictures apart from a muscle man diagram, can't select multiple specific muscle groups used in custom exercises. The video search just goes to a youtube search and you can't pick a specific video to come up. It does work alright though.

    If you starting your own Personal Trainer business, you should check this out, this is a very easy to use system.

    Cons

    It has a very easy to use website, its rich in features. It also comes with an App that I think needs to be refined a little, but that might be the problem with just how much space is available on a mobile

    This app/software was similar to Trainerize and I liked it more for it for its freedom in customization (i.e., appearances, logo, color, etc.). there was a sense of ease using the software as well. I think what was also great was the notification my clients would get when I send them a message on the app. Its pretty cool to have some form of professionalism while using technology.

    Cons

    So I did say the software is easy to use but its very rigid with how much you are actually able to do. For example, the workouts and videos are fixed for what they have but do not (or did not) offer room for you to input your own like Trainerize does. Customer service seemed money hungry than focused on my own needs but that's my opinion. Maybe they have grown from our feedback and made changes.

    Client management and scheduling seem to be the biggest attributes. The ease of scheduling and editing is a plus also, the app comes in handy.

    Pros

    Great for scheduling, p&l, client management, client reminders and invoicing. It helps keep track of current client as well as leads and previous clients.

    Cons

    It doesn't link with any other software like quick books. As mentioned earlier the support is hard being the are in a completely different continent.

    Everything. The diary is so easy, in depth and the programs are easy to create and simple to follow. I like that I can create meal plans and the auto confirmation of session has saved me so much time on a night.

    Sometimes stalls. Experiences troubles loading and then fails. Usually comes good, couldn't figure out sessions so I used classes for everything

    Really helps me manage my day to day activites

    Pros

    I always used a combination of different Microsoft programs and calendars to organize my clients and schedule. This would involve a lot of time each day and PTminder has taken all the stress away. Now I can keep all my clients and keep track of their progress in one place.

    Cons

    I like pretty much everything but if there is one thing I dont like it's the percentage that Stripe takes from transactions.

    Best PT software on the market! I love it how complex, yet simple to use. You have every function what you need to make your life much easier.

    The least I like about the software? NOTHING! The staff is amazing, always there to help you via chat.

    I'm not fond of the Stripe payment method. The fees are too high. That is the only thing I don't like about the software.

    Using the software is easy. The software has the capability of being great if they cannot fix the customer service and keep the software from locking me out and having to constantly reset my password. It's very inconvenient. It's embarrassing and unprofessional.

    Cons

    The software will lock you out and the customer service is horrible. It even deactivated my account right when I was in thr middle of scheduling clients and trying to see my availability. Having to chat with them before you can get through on the phone is annoying especially when clients are waiting on you. Also, when I finally did get through to talk to someone. I heard a baby crying in the background as well as a lot of noise. It was distracting on top of already being frustrated. It was unprofessional and it's not how I want my business. It's embarrassing to have clients in front of me while I'm trying to access my account to schedule them and being told my account was deactivated. I am very disappointed.

    Session tracking was the most important thing I needed and this fulfilled that role perfectly.

    Pros

    The Session reporting and membership functions. I enjoy having the clients sessions to be tracked to specific dates. I also enjoy the ability to send notifications to the client about their upcoming sessions.

    Cons

    Lack of ability to split payments on memberships to a specific date. Currently cannot have the payment split to a specific date and instead rolls by a week/month pattern from the date selected instead of the number. Also there should be the ability to have clients have calendars specific to there off day workouts. The ability for my clients to then check in that they did the work on their off days would help a lot.

    All of the features are very useful for the nature of my business. The general reports are very helpful in allow me to monitor as aspects of my business.

    Cons

    The minimum term for membership is 1 week. It would be good if there was an option for 1 day because I have walk-in rates for members which I have to set up with a 1 week expiry date. Which means that after they complete the walk-in, their membership will still be on the system for the next 6 days.

    I use the software as the check in point for members when they come into classes as well. In order to check how many classes they have left on the membership it requires some time to go into the system to find the relevant information. eg. Click - client management > select member > Package/membership/prod > view schedule. If this process could be shorten it would be more helpful for front line staff.

    Easy to use, simple experience. I love how it handles sessions, payments, assessments, etc.

    I also really like the waiting list feature.

    Some calendar features are a bit "clunky" and I wish it had a few additional features.

    App is glitchy - appointment modification doesn't work as it should.

    Very easy to use! I was skeptical with such low monthly dues but was pleasantly surprised when it did everything I needed it to for scheduling, organization, follow-ups and transactions. Definitely recommending this program to other Anytime Fitness franchise owners. This was my first time managing a personal training program of my own in my gym, and was provided with easy steps and excellent customer service to make that transition smooth.

    Cons

    Percentage rate on Stripe debit transactions, have to use Square to be competitive and save money. The great thing is you can still use the program without using Stripe for debit and credit transactions.

    I like all the features. The scheduling tool is great, it's so easy to enter transactions and reconcile your sessions throughout the day. This used to be a real process for me. I also really like the receipt feature and the appointment reminder feature. My clients always comment on how professional everything is. This level of professionalism give me even more confidence to keep my rates up!

    Staying on top of my finances is the greatest benefit. The ease of the software allows you to get setup and running in minutes.

    Pros

    It's like having an accountant at your fingertips with a full report of all aspects of your training business.

    Cons

    Would love if you added member check-in for those of us who have studios as well as taking payments directly from checking accounts. An added check-in feature would help me keep track of who is coming in regularly and who is membership is due. Right now I can only be told who is due and then try to find them to collect payment for those paying through checking accounts.
