I felt confident using the software and teaching it to my staff. I loved having an APP for my studio without sharing it with my competitors. Cons: It was expensive. The software was a little complicated on some settings. A few staff members needed extra time and support to use it. Reasons for switching to Mariana Tek The Mindbody APP was filled with my competitors' offerings. There were too many large franchises that could offer promos on the APP. Mindybody wanted my business to pay for adds and promos in addition to my months fees. Response time for support is short when it is needed and there is a lot of detailed reporting. Every person from the team that I have had to interact with is always helpful and kind. It provides very details reports on the back end to get a sense of how the business is performing. There are little outages and it runs smoothly for the customers on the front end and back end for us. The app is so amazing and has helped bring brand awareness and loyalty. Cons: I with there was a feature where you can send a link for private ride sign up. This would alleviate pain points of getting guests registered for private events. Verified reviewer Individual & Family Services 2-10 employees Used daily for less than 12 months Review source Reviewed September 2024 Very challenging software to get set up properly, support is tough 3 I tried to hold off on writing a bad review for MT but this past weekend where I was given bad information again by support prompted me to give others a warning of caution. We were a new studio and chose MT over Mind Body as it seemed more modern and a better user experience. From the start we had issues, our implementation manager was just condescending and frustrated because we did not completely understand what she was often phrasing in a way that was confusing and just flat-out mislead us on the waiver functionality of the product. Since then it has just been issue after issue that takes months to resolve. I could not edit my transactional messages for 6 months due to a bug and I am currently 30 days into a bug that prevents waitlist messaging. The Growth add-on is overpriced to start and should not be an add-on because MT is incomplete without it and any new feature they come out with is an overpriced upsell that is still beta quality with limitations and bugs. I went 3 stars because I can run my business on this software and do like some features and see the potential to be better. The cost of change for a new business will likely keep me fighting with it because we just don't have the time to go through that process again. My ask to MT is to just do better, stop forcing your customers to self-diagnose problems, and point at your sister company when it is an internal problem. You have some very capable people working for you but they seem hamstrung to help and your cohort system often exposes the weakness in your software and your staff. Essentials of the software works once you finally get implemented properly Cons: Bugs that go unfixed. Terrible implementation(ie setup) process. The customer Success team is a cohort system that is chat only, it takes forever to resolve almost anything. Upcharge for any new features. I much prefer MT to Mindbody, but I do wish some of the missing functions could be solved for.
