Simple, well managed podcast manager
Getting our message out to the online world with ease. I am personally not a fan of subscription services because they cost a lot in the long run, but the advantage is that Buzzsprout maintains all historical podcasts within the price of the monthly fee.
PROSThe simplicity of getting a weekly podcast uploaded, out to our website, to our podcast (for iTunes), and available for download by just uploading to their Buzzsprout site.

Buzzsprout is so easy to use
Uploading your own Podcasts.
PROSYou can easily upload media for others to listen to. Great Podcast feature. You can customize your own site as well, so when others stop by they know what they are listening to.
CONSBuzzsprout is a little on the expensive side if you need to upload large files or more than a few things at a time. The free plan only has a 90 limit before it deletes it.

I like this software
It is a good platform, very easy to use and friendly interface, I really liked the integrations that you have with other platforms such as iTunes.
CONSThe truth, I have no against the platform, the truth in cost benefit but it seems that it is a software that adapts very well.

Great software for hosting your podcast
Buzzsprout has hosted my podcast, almost 200 episodes, for several years.
PROSBuzzsprout is easy to use. I'm not the most technical person but I've done close to 200 podcasts and Buzzsprout has hosted them all. The price is pretty good as well!
CONSSometimes it takes several tries before my file uploads. Other times it works with the first try. The time for the file to upload varies as well.

Buzzsprout has provided exactly what need: an easy, effective site to host podcasts.
The main benefit of Buzzsprout is that it does what I expect it to and doesn't cause me any headaches or glitches. Runs perfectly.
PROSIt is so easy to upload, link and archive a podcast. It simply works and the task can easily be delegated to someone who hasn't even used the software before.
CONSIf I upload a podcast, without including the image, I can still add an image but the embed will always NOT show the image (unless the link is directly to the page). I've learned the hard way, you basically can't edit once it's uploaded, at least not do so and have the changes show in the preview.

The ease of uploading podcasts through Buzzsprout is nothing short of empowering.
Simply, mastery of a medium that felt foreign to us at first.
PROSOur tiny independent company produces currently the only LGBT publication in print, though only a few times a year. We needed to reach a wider audience in different ways but since none of us in the team had experience with podcasts, the medium seemed daunting. Luckily, Buzzsprout was easily navigable and through its straightforwardly simple interface, using this became second nature. Consider us more motivated to create more podcasts and give greater rise to LGBT voices through the airwaves.
CONSAt first, we weren't familiar with some of the terminology used in the program but with a little Googling, it wasn't hard to embrace the software.

Great Product and Support
My experience at this point has been great. The software works great and I am getting value from the content which Buzzsprout is creating to go along with the software. We were able to get our podcast live and listed within 24 hours!
PROSThe ease with which we could get a podcast published. Buzzsprout provided collected information regarding publishing on many platforms and how to set this up.
CONSI wish there was a better mobile dashboard or mobile app.

Easiest way to publish and promote a podcast.
My podcast is published. 'Nuff said.
PROSI love how intuitive it is to upload an episode and get it distributed. I also really love the Facebook video feature. That was a cool, unexpected feature. Overall, it's simple, powerful, and it gets the job done.
CONSI had a few bugs with the embedded player not working correctly on my site and I'm still waiting for a fix. But everything else worked PERFECTLY

Great podcasting service
It has a free version.
PROSEasy to use and has a nice layout to its home page. Also they allow a free version that others do not.
CONSPrice is higher than others. Wish their pricing was more competitive compared to Lbsyn and podbean. Other wise it's a great site and my friends use it.

Good Customer Service, Friendly for Newbies, Stats Especially Lacking
For the beginning podcaster, Buzzsprout is a perfect fit. Their tutorials are great, their interface is easy to use, and their customer service is engaged and proactive. (I actually received an unsolicited e-mail from a tech who thought he had noticed a problem with my account, which is amazing.) There are two primary drawbacks to Buzzsprout: 1) If you're posting a new episode, you cannot put in the episode details before you start uploading your sound file. If you have modern internet, this could mean that your episode is posted before you've had a chance to put in a title, description, artwork, etc. I can't tell you how many times I've had to delete or do last-second editing, because my episode posted my listeners before I was ready for it to go to them. No one wants to listen to a podcast that's still called "File-Name".mp3, without any description or artwork. 2) The stats are awful. Buzzsprout highlights its "Listeners" statistic, which is an intentionally obtuse, proprietary statistic. What makes a listener? I don't know. Buzzsprout doesn't tell me. This makes it difficult to know what's making a difference for listener engagement and how to communicate to my sponsors about the reach of my podcast. That, combined with the fact that you can't do more advanced features, like A/B testing, etc. means that the service lags behind badly when your audience starts growing and your podcast starts generating revenue. This is probably the reason I'll have to switch podcasting services at the end of this year; much to my regret.
PROSBeginner-Friendly. Easy interface. Responsive Customer Service.
CONSThe stats page is hideous - intentionally obtuse, without giving the opportunity to do deep-dives in figuring out what makes your audience tick.

Great Podcast Host for all types of formats
I have greatly enjoyed Buzzsprout. I found them 2 years ago when podcasting was booming and I wanted to get my homemade podcast out there. The site is simple to use with helpful features and links. It helps get your show promoted with instructions for sharing RSS feed along with providing a simple website available for people find the podcast outside of other Podcast Portals. The best thing I've enjoyed is that I produce my podcast in video format and Buzzsprout can convert that into an audio file without any demerits towards monthly allowance for download space. I have not felt the need to look elsewhere for a podcast host and highly recommend!
PROSfunctionality, easy to use platform yet diverse features.
CONSThe statistics dont always seem the most accurate. I wish we could see more from the listener stats.

Joined and Never Looked Back
I had been kicking the idea of a podcast around for a long time but was too nervous to ever start. One day my wife was bored at work and started researching a hosting site for me without my knowledge. She sent me some info on Buzzsprout and we began an experiment/trial run. I won't lie, Buzzsprout had wonderful resources laying out the technical details, tips on recording, great options for sharing, and suddenly I had a podcast. My content may not be the best, but that is on me. What Buzzsprout allowed me to do was be creative and not sweat the details. We started with the free plan but once we had our stuff together we realized we needed a paid plan. We went to the middle tier and haven't stopped since. Even when my debit card was hacked and my funds were frozen, Buzzsprout customer service allowed me time to wait for my new card before paying them my monthly fee. I was worried my late payment would mean my archive would be gone and the hard work of two years would be lost forever. Once I let them know they gave me a 30-day window to pay them their fee and I told myself then that I would not forget it.
PROSEase of use, good customer service, frequent new features

Perfect for the beginner
My daughter and I started recording our nightly conversations and posting them as a podcast. We wanted to see if there was a market for what we had to offer. It could NOT have been easier. Setting it up, marketing, posting, and keeping track of metrics was a breeze. Even when we eventually decided to stop casting, the entire process was very easy. We are paying a small fee right now to keep the recordings because I want to keep them for when she's older, and that was easy to do as well. If you are looking to dip your feet in the podcasting waters, Buzzsprout is the way to go.
PROSEasy to use
CONSYou can't download your podcasts to save them offline.
