### Most mentioned pros

- My experience has been positive for straightforward surveys and internal business use, but I've run into limitations as projects become more sophisticated.
- To take surveys, training exams, details of the person, and for all other forms-related needs, we are using Microsoft Forms only, which is very convenient and helpful as well.
- I use it for simple form collections because the design is slick, data export was fairly quick and it integrates with Microsoft excel for analysis

### Most mentioned cons

- The only issue I had with Microsoft forms is that in a small business it does not hold value for money as the polls are not frequent.
- The biggest limitation is the lack of support for more complex calculations, logic, and integrations.
- Some customisation options were limited, and advanced features felt basic, which made complex surveys harder to create effectively.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5

#### Pros

Microsoft forms offesra an easy way to collect data acrros the team, that other wise is unpractical to adquire. It helps to get to more people easily with structures information back.

#### Cons

It should help and facilitate to add design to the surveys, that part is not easy or customizable for me. that would help to not over load the users with the same formats.

### Microsoft Forms Review

- Industry: Events Services
- Company size: 2-10 employees
- Product usage: Used weekly for more than 2 years
- Reviewed: May 2025
- Review source details: This review was submitted organically. No incentive was offered

Experience overall has been positive, and more than adequately gets the job done, even though there are some areas for possible improvement.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

It's very easy to create new forms and to specify the types of questions to be asked. The data presentation is also very powerful.

#### Cons

The forms features are somewhat simple, so it's a bit difficult to create more advanced custom forms with multiple links and references. Even the "branching" function is a little clunky, but it is still useable.

#### Reasons for choosing Microsoft Forms

Even though other options were out there, the low cost of Microsoft Forms and its integration with the Microsoft environment were a winner.

### Good foundation starter application for forms and surveys

- Overall rating: 3/5

- Product usage: Used monthly for more than 2 years
- Reviewed: January 2026

I have used Forms for years in a range of applications. It can be useful for collection of opinions, preference or qualitative and quantitative data. I would recommend it as a starting point as most people know how to use it. However, it could be better designed with more spirit.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Microsoft Forms works well enough to function as a data collection tool and survey use. It is mostly reliable, easy enough to use and they have added some usability features such as duplicating questions and sections to speed up the survey creation process.

#### Cons

The UI of Microsoft Forms is not the best. It feels a bit dated, boring and clunk at times. There isn’t much joy in using it, and there is not much AI integration to make you think about your audience. Creating a survey is creative, but using Forms doesn’t feel that fun.

Pleasant and easy to use. I use it with my students a lot to get them to sign agreements before they work on their projects and it's very easy for them to complete the form. It's also easy for me to design the surveys or forms.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It's user friendly and very easy to use. It feels intuitive and doesn't require any experience to use it. I also like the fact that you can make it for people in your organisation only but still have the option to make it anonymous. When the survey isn't anonymous, I like the fact that it tell you that the owner will be able to see the name.

#### Cons

It's not that I like the least but I'd like to see a slider option for questions like the one in Qualtrics. It would be also useful to be able to collect the responses in SPSS format

#### Reasons for switching to Microsoft Forms

I found Forms to be very easy to use and it's part of our Office 365 subscription

### A marketing managers view of MS Forms

- Overall rating: 5/5

- Product usage: Used monthly for less than 2 years
- Reviewed: January 2025
- Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you.

Overall it is an easy to use and quick way to gather information in a survey from work colleagues or external agencies. It looks professional and has the capabilities to collect different types of survey information.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Creating a form is easy. With no training or tutorials, it is possible to create a title, questions and types of questions, such as multiple choice, ratings, etc. You can then email a link to the survey from your email account. It even creates a report of the survey which you can download, when complete.

#### Cons

It is not easy finding when the survey is complete, or progress on how many people have completed the survey, without going into the forms.

#### Reasons for switching to Microsoft Forms

Forms is easier to use, more intuitive and quicker to build surveys than other platforms. Sending out the survey is easy via a link. The reporting I think is great. Downloadable from anywhere. Looks professional. Not need to copy it into another presentation.

### Great tool for surveys and data collection

- Product usage: Used monthly for more than 2 years
- Reviewed: January 2025
- Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you.

I've used it for a variety of functions including collecting feedback, quizzing, and collecting data to be analysed. It's easy for people to click the link and answer the questions - I've never had anyone tell me that they couldn't figure it out when I've sent them a link.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Easy and intuitive to use to create forms, surveys, polls, quizzes, etc. I like that you can send out to employees and the system will automatically record their names.

#### Cons

The reports that are auto-generated are great, however it would be amazing if we could select which type of chart is displayed. I like pie charts for some things, and bar charts for other things. Currently, the only way to do this is to export the data to Excel and create the charts there.

#### Reasons for switching to Microsoft Forms

more cost efficient since MS Forms was already included in the M365 Enterprise suite

#### Cons

Good thing with Microsoft forms, I don’t need to be an pro to design a survey. First you can automatically export responses into Excel, which is very useful in data analyzing. Second, you can track responses as they appear, which is perfect for surveys or feedback forms where immediate response are vital.

#### Cons

The forms are very neat but the problem is you don’t have as much freedom to personalize your forms. There are fewer design options and less flexibility with form layouts, which might be affect if you're targeting to have creative and more visualist style of forms. another downside is the lack of advanced question types.
