Pros/Cons
Pros
- I would recommend OnBoard to any of my peers. We don't touch nearly all of its capabilities, but so appreciate how easy it is to share information securely with our board members.
- We have had a great experience with the OnBoard team and the software. Support has been excellent and the product serves the purpose we intended for it.
- The ease of use for staff is what I like most about this software. They have done an excellent job of reducing redundancies.
Cons
- If there is an error with e-signatures, there is no "correcting" it, you have to delete whatever it is that you worked on and restart.
- The inability to use the gallery view is very disappointing and the sound/video quality is poor with the integration. It works will when Zoom is used separately however.
- All Adobe Acrobat bookmarks and markups including highlighting, comments, and added text are stripped out and lost when these documents are uploaded.
Pros
- This has been the best, most time-saving purchase for us. Customer service is outstanding.
- Open gov came in and did their part and it seems like a great tool especially when they are operating it. IT is easy to use once they set it the budget that you need.
- In addition, with their help the City was able to get the 2021 budget done in record time with high user acceptance from department heads.
Cons
- The budgetary and supplemental views can be very confusing.
- Some areas are difficult to navigate --you have to make some assumptions not mentioned in the instruction manual.
- The implementation process had a few still gaps like the PCF that discouraged us a little but of course, OpenGov heard our cries.
