However, my total experience as a designer for 10 years is very positive: for all my presentations I always rely on Keynote, because it halves any of my working time and always manages to give me new ideas with all its tools.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

If you too never know where to start for your slide presentations from today you can worry no more, Keynote takes care of it!Templates, guides, animations: with Keynote anyone can make beautiful and functional presentations, it is a thousand steps ahead of all other presentation programs with its always fresh and cool templates.

#### Cons

Unfortunately there are few templates available and the interface is not so intuitive, only by really using the software a lot will you know how to find all the features, otherwise some things are so hidden that you think it doesn't have them.

#### Reasons for choosing Keynote

Because within it there are templates, animations, shadows and effects already set to the best: I can think less and render much more.

To design a quick presentation is very easy.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

It is the easiest tool to learn and design a presentation. The best thing is the possibility to start a keynote on the iPad and to finish it on the Mac.

#### Cons

Apple does't manage it to give us a real collaborative tool still. To comment, work together, exchange data and brainstorm together are not there yet in the way, the competition does it. All the tools in Keynote are there, but not used as they could be. Also, the use of custom fonts between iPad and Mac is totally off or not possible.

#### Reasons for choosing Keynote

It is free and best integrated to the Apple workspace.

### Just a Little Bit Nicer Than the Others

Keynote helps me look more professional than my solopreneur operation would naturally allow. I can quickly turn out great looking pieces of content. Keynote appears to be less known or used which is to my advantage because I often get compliments and requests to know what I used that leads to more client engagement.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The templates are top notch and make it really easy and intuitive to put together a classy, high quality presentation easily. As most of my work world moved to Zoom (and is planning to stay), being able to quickly create backgrounds, visual cueing and information sharing has been critical. There are lots of slide presentation apps but Keynote's taste and layout suggestions are just a bit nicer. I consistently get feedback and requests for "tips" about how I got my slides to look so good.

#### Cons

Converting Keynote slides into Google Slides takes a couple of steps to work around. You can covert directly in app to PowerPoint, .pdf, .gifs, etc but not Slides yet, which is the most common request from my end users.

#### Reasons for switching to Keynote

I preferred the templates and felt the app was easier to use overall.

Apple's Keynote software offers me everything I need in my presentation software. It's easy to style my slides and I can quickly build out a presentation deck. The best part is that it's free to download for Mac users.

#### Cons

I miss some of the more deeper technical settings that some other competitors might have.

#### Reasons for switching to Keynote

It's easy to get quickly started with a presentation, and it's free to download with Mac

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

ease of onboarding. its almost identical to powerpoint, and you can 'edit mask' which means you can easily remove the background or foreground.

#### Cons

some animations you cannot do but yo can in powerpoint, and when you save a presentation it is not simple to shrink the size of the whole file.

#### Reasons for choosing Keynote

I didnt choose it over them, rather in tandem.

#### Pros

I'm a big fan of Keynote. I think it's the easiest application to create beautiful presentations. It has a lot of features that can make my life easier. For example, Keynote allows me to embed videos and photos into my slides. I can even record myself presenting the slide show and then, I can send the link to my clients.

#### Cons

Native templates are a bit poor, but you can find awesome ones on the net.

#### Reasons for switching to Keynote

When I bought my first iMac, I tried it because it was the default app. Finally, it fitted my needs and was so easy to handle.

On the whole, it's been helpful, but I definitely prefer both PowerPoint and Slides over Keynote.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love the aesthetically pleasing templates that Keynote offers you when choosing to create a presentation! Of all the options, Keynote definitely looks the best.

#### Cons

I don't like the need to (apparently) constantly update the app on my laptop. One time, I failed to update Keynote for a long period of time (my fault, I admit), but it really screwed up my ability to access older presentations.

#### Reasons for switching to Keynote

I made the switch because I switched from a PC to a Mac.

If you are a Mac owner, there is no other choice. I use it every month and love it, even if it has starting to look outdated and doesn't receive yearly changes.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

How easy to use it is. incredibly simple to make different slides, position photographs, and add details. My area of weakness is creating graphics, but I can also make posters with Keynote. Even though I've only recently started using Canva, Keynote still feels more natural to me.

#### Cons

If it included more styles and templates, that would be fantastic. Although the PowerPoint template I bought fits well with Keynote, I would prefer to have more default templates available when I create a new file.

#### Reasons for switching to Keynote

I used to have a win computer but I brought a Mac so I changed over to iworks

Great software to make presentations with!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Keynote is an invaluable software that has helped me make very engaging and interesting presentations. One of the best features is that Keynote has a variety of available templates! They have templates for more visual types of presentations and also have templates for formal presentations -so there is something for everyone. Keynote is very easy to learn and to use, I believe there is a new users guide that one is introduced to but everything is pretty self explanatory and easy to get used to. There are many tools and features within Keynote that you can change to make the presentation your style! You can choose different fonts, different colours, different page set ups and etc. I have always used keynote for my presentations and find that I am easily able to create aesthetic and nice presentations. Keynote helps me becomes more efficient and saves me time as it is very convenient to use.

#### Cons

I don't have much to say about the dislikes - I really do enjoy using Keynote. If I had to give a suggestion, I would recommend that the developers of Keynote keep adding more templates! I recognize that they may already be doing this so this is just a suggestion.

There's no alternative if you own a Mac. It's not receiving annual updates and it has started to look old, but I love it and use it every month.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Cons

It would be great if it had more templates and more styles. I've purchased some PowerPoint template and it works ok with Keynote, but I'd rather have access to more default templates when creating a new file.
