The interface is intuitive and has good slide transitions. #### Cons This program is SO unstable. It is constantly crashing. Which is a pity, as it suits my purpose and is easy to use and has all the features i require for the videos I produce. However i find it exhausting with it constantly crashing. I have requested help from their support team and they have responded quickly, but to date have not been able to provide any answers to my problem. If I had to name one it would be ease of use compared to other slide show software that I have used previously. With my previous experience there was no need to read a manual just open up and start a project. #### Cons I like the music library and there is many selections that I have used. However, there is a lack of dedicated music, such as for wildlife, other countries, special occasions ect. with no way to purchase music to add to the software. #### Reasons for choosing SmartSHOW 3D It was exactly like Pro Show Gold but better and easier to use with no crashes when working on a project. #### Reasons for switching to SmartSHOW 3D After using Pro Show Gold since 2006 they no longer supported the software on crashes and then went out of business. It was fine until I upgraded to the latest version. From that point on, all .mov files loaded sideways and after a minute or so, the app shut down. I tried on many occasions to resolve this with tech support, but there was no easy way to send the .mov file to them see ticket # 133048. It drove me crazy. I asked for a refund on the upgrade, but they keep on ignoring it. #### Cons Upgrade messed up the app big time. All I want now is a refund in which they ignore. I've used the software for years with no issues. Par contre une fois que vous avez payé et que votre compte est débité, vous perdez tout : Les sous et le logiciel qui ne fonctionne plus ! Personne ne s'occupe d'envoyer les éléments nécessaires pour débloquer la licence. Par contre le service encaissement de cette boite est très efficace ! No incentive was offered It has been good except for burning a DVD. 6. BURNING DVDs. For some reason, when I click "Burn DVD" it doesn't and I have to go to the "Create DVD Folder" option. This is not good. When "Burn DVD" is selected the output should be the burned DVD drawer automatically opening. TEXT. Every time I want to add text I have to start all over. I strongly suggest that once a style, font, size, etc. is chosen that it shows up automatically the next time adding text is selected. 2. TRANSITIONS. I happen to not like fancy & varied transitions, I find they are distracting, particularly while editing the show. I should not have to go to the "same transition throughout" option every time I insert a picture. I suggest AN ADDITIONAL option that automatically inserts the same transaction after each picture, movie clip, etc. 3. MANAGING TEXT. I like to have text fade in and fade out and therefore I select 6 points where I make changes in opacity. 0%, 0%, 100% 100% 0%, 0%. It would be useful for text management to be selected the first time only and shows up for every following text insertion. If changed on, for example the 4th picture, then the change would be carried on to the next text insertion. 4.ZOOMING PICTURE SIZE. Would it be possible to have this done directly with the "mouse" rather than clicking on the "+"or "-" icons, in the same way the picture location can be changed? 5. TITLE FOR DVDs. Is missing from Version 20. Thus, for computers, the computer software is required to start the DVD rathe than clicking "start" on the title. This is very inconvenient. Unusual as well. 6. The software is very easy to use, very easy to learn, if you have used a few presentation programs before, you will land on your feet as soon as you start using SmartSHOW 3D. It is very user-friendly, the fact that it comes with integrated animations will really help you in every step of your final product creation. Adding slides, importing media to your project, everything works flawlessly and it is a rapid presentation development program. This program is really an asset for your design library.
