### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.1/5
- Customer support: 4.2/5
- Value for money: 4.1/5
- Functionality: 4.3/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 3,059 reviews (52%)

- 3 stars: 561 reviews (10%)
- 2 stars: 95 reviews (2%)
- 1 star: 33 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- With Salesforce you can quickly set pricing, create Proposals, get them signed, submit them, and have the product drop shipped and invoice sent out.
- It has helped us centralize key business processes, including sales management, invoicing, and financial operations, making it easier to manage information and improve collaboration across teams.
- I liked that it connects well with other Microsoft tools and can support sales tracking, customer records, invoicing and reporting. Once it’s set up properly, it can give teams a useful overview of activity and performance.

### Most mentioned cons

- There is nothing I would say I dislike about dynamics 365, however we do have some intermittent problems with certain add ins we use such as the CRM to Genesys softphone not loading for our advisers and contact centre agents which can cause some operational issues from time to time.
- Dynamics 365 does not tolerate laziness. If you approach it without a rigorous strategy, it will happily let you build a convoluted, over-engineered mess that frustrates your users and bleeds your budget dry.
- There’s also a bit of friction in day-to-day use - too many clicks in certain workflows, and if the system isn’t well maintained, pipeline hygiene can slip pretty quickly.

Dynamics 365 is an exceptionally capable suite for mid-market to enterprise organizations that already rely heavily on Microsoft tools. For smaller teams or simpler workflows, its complexity and setup demands can outweigh the benefits.

Some areas feel complex when you’re first learning the system. A few advanced features require extra setup time and can be overwhelming for new users.

It was terrible. With Salesforce you can quickly set pricing, create Proposals, get them signed, submit them, and have the product drop shipped and invoice sent out. Dynamics 365? Yikes - switch between multiple windows from Business Central to Dynamics 365 and back.

#### Pros

I liked that it brought a CRM into the whole M365 Platform. The sales funnel was decent as well, but not great.

#### Cons

Where do I begin? As someone who used Salesforce for 10+ years, I had no idea how badly an awkward CRM can mess up your entire sales cycle.

#### Reasons for switching to Dynamics 365

Our company was bought out by a company with PE money behind it and made decisions without consulting us.

Overall, our experience with Dynamics 365 has been very positive. It has helped us centralize key business processes, including sales management, invoicing, and financial operations, making it easier to manage information and improve collaboration across teams. The platform is reliable, highly customizable, and integrates seamlessly with other Microsoft products, allowing us to streamline workflows and reduce manual work. While it requires some time to learn and configure, the investment is worthwhile given the breadth of functionality it offers. Overall, Dynamics 365 has become an important part of our daily operations, helping us improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the business.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like most about Dynamics 365 is its ability to bring together financial management, sales, and business operations within a single platform. It provides a centralized view of customers, invoices, transactions, and business data, making it easier to manage day-to-day operations efficiently. The platform offers powerful sales management and invoicing capabilities, along with strong integration with the Microsoft ecosystem, which helps streamline workflows and improve productivity. Despite its broad functionality, the interface is well organized, and once users become familiar with it, everyday tasks are straightforward to perform. We have also had a positive experience with customer support whenever assistance was needed. Overall, Dynamics 365 offers excellent value for money for organizations looking for a comprehensive business management solution that can scale as their needs grow.

#### Cons

While Dynamics 365 is a powerful platform, it has a steeper learning curve than many other business applications due to its extensive functionality and customization options. Initial setup and configuration can take time, and users may require training to make the most of its capabilities. We have also experienced occasional performance issues, particularly when working with large datasets or complex reports. In addition, some advanced features and integrations may require additional licensing, which can increase the overall cost as business needs grow. That said, these drawbacks are outweighed by the platform's flexibility, comprehensive feature set, and the efficiency it brings to managing business operations.

The most impressive feature of Dynamics for me is it's sales management capabilities. It allows to track the leads and also helps managing customer relationship better all organized in one place. The built in feature of invoicing insanely simplified the billing work and integration with banks and making transactions made financial tracking easy. Also the tool is worth every penny for the features it provide for a well organized and managed business.

#### Cons

The learning curve for this tool can be a little challenging as it may feel confusing and tough for the new users but gets easy with regular use and time. Also occasional bugs and issues might be irritating at times especially after the updates. The customer support is generally helpful but the solutions take bit time.

My overall experience with Dynamics 365 has been really positive. It’s a useful platform that keeps customer information, tasks, and business processes organized in one place. I like how flexible it is and how many features are available to make everyday work easier. It took a little time to get familiar with everything, but once I got the hang of it, things became much smoother. Overall, Dynamics 365 has helped make work more organized and efficient, and I’d definitely recommend it to businesses looking for a solid all-in-one solution.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

Dynamics 365 has been a really solid tool overall. I like how it brings different business functions together in one place, which makes keeping track of customers, tasks, and data much easier. The interface is pretty straightforward once you get familiar with it, and there are plenty of features to help streamline everyday work. It also feels flexible enough to fit different business needs without being overly complicated. There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you get the hang of it, Dynamics 365 can save a lot of time and make work feel much more organized.

#### Cons

One downside of Dynamics 365 is that it can feel a little overwhelming at first. There are so many features and settings that it takes some time to figure out where everything is and how to use it efficiently. It can also take a bit of effort to customize it for specific business needs. Once you get familiar with the system, though, it becomes much easier to use.

### A powerful enterprise tool held back by complexity and difficult licensing

My experience with Dynamics 365 has been a mix of appreciating its powerful capabilities while struggling with its inherent complexity. It is an incredibly feature-rich tool, but the combination of an unintuitive interface and an opaque pricing model makes it a challenging solution for teams that need quick adoption and straightforward administration.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an exceptionally powerful, unified business cloud platform. I particularly value its seamless integration with the broader Microsoft ecosystem, which streamlines workflows significantly. The platform’s deep modular customization and robust scaling options make it highly adaptable to evolving business needs, allowing me to build a tailored solution that grows alongside our operations.

#### Cons

The platform presents a steep learning curve that requires significant time and training to master. The licensing structure is often confusing and difficult to navigate for me, making it hard to predict long-term costs. Additionally, the user interface can feel cumbersome and cluttered, frequently requiring too many clicks to complete simple tasks, which hinders overall productivity.

A strong point is having customer information, sales activity, and business processes connected in one system. It’s useful when you need to look back at previous interactions or see where something stands without checking several different places. The Microsoft integration is also convenient if your team already works with their other tools.

#### Cons

There’s definitely a learning curve. Some screens have a lot of fields and options, and simple things can occasionally take more clicks than expected. Getting reports or workflows exactly how you want them can also take some setup.

### Dynamics 365: Feature‑Rich and Transformative for Teams

My overall experience with Dynamics 365 has been strong because it brings so many moving parts of a business into one connected platform, making it easier to see the full picture and act on it. Once you get past the initial learning curve, the system feels powerful and flexible—automation, reporting, and integrations all work together to streamline daily operations. Collaboration improves because teams aren’t working in silos, and having real‑time data available across modules helps with faster, more confident decision‑making. While there are moments where the interface feels dense or certain customizations require technical expertise, the platform ultimately delivers a robust, unified environment that can genuinely elevate how a business runs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

One of the things I liked most about Dynamics 365 is how seamlessly it brings different business functions together—sales, service, finance, operations, and marketing all live in one connected ecosystem. That unified approach means data flows naturally between teams, giving everyone a clearer picture of customers and processes without jumping between disconnected tools. The platform also feels incredibly adaptable; whether you’re automating workflows, customizing dashboards, or integrating with other Microsoft apps, it gives you the flexibility to shape it around your business rather than forcing you into rigid structures.

#### Cons

One thing I liked least about Dynamics 365 is that its complexity can feel overwhelming at times—there’s a noticeable learning curve, especially when navigating advanced modules or configuring custom workflows. The interface, while powerful, can occasionally feel cluttered, and some tasks require more clicks than you’d expect. Additionally, performance can vary depending on the environment, and certain customizations or integrations may require more technical expertise than smaller teams typically have.

Dynamics 365 is the bedrock of our company and is used constantly. Outside the lag from being overly customized, the refreshed system now works more efficiently and seamlessly. There are great training resources available for new hires that are learning the system, and the cost has been worth the success of the software.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Dynamics 365 (D365) is our ERP that we use across our company. This software is the foundation of our sales and is a significant part of our business operations. The ability to scale based on our needs as our company has grown has been a true asset, and the cost was supportive of our company's budget. Our employees that interact with the platform report ease of use with the system and managers appreciate the reporting features. We have been able to customize the platform to meet our needs and the products we sell.

#### Cons

While the system is highly customizable, we have found that the more customization, the slower the platform, to the point where we went back to default. It does offer customer service, however the issues we had based on the over customization was a costly update.

I basically found that it’s a powerful system, but not one you can just pick up and run with. Once it’s set up properly and everyone knows what they’re doing, it works really well and there’s loads of potential there if you’re a medium or large business that wants everything under one roof.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I really like how it pulls everything together in one place. You don’t have to jump between loads of separate systems because sales, marketing, finance, etc are all connected. It obviously works great with Microsoft tools too, so using Excel or Teams alongside it feels natural. The customisation options are solid as well; you can tailor it to fit your specific processes.

#### Cons

It’s definitely not the easiest thing to learn. Some parts feel quite jarring, and you’ll probably need training or support to get the most out of it. It can also get expensive, especially if you’re adding lots of modules or users. I wouldn’t recommend it for a small team unless you really need that level of functionality.
