It's a powerful platform with an intuitive UI that simplifies the forecasting process from start to finish. Mosaic also makes it very easy to share/collaborate with executives, department leaders, and ICs while maintaining version control and appropriate roles/permissions. #### Cons There can be some additional functionality with respect to revenue modeling (e.g., out of the box templates). Find it sometimes difficult to find certain filters/data updates as it is not where I would expect things to be (not as user friendly in that sense). Mosaic is great at taking information from our financial systems, CRM, and HR tools to enable easy financial performance tracking and reporting. With numerous data points needed to report on business performance having all details readily available in one place allows for timely and accurate reporting that formerly took days to manually consolidate and manually update in multiple spreadsheets. Mosaic also enables easier 3 statement scenario and long term planning that can be extremely manual and error prone when done via spreadsheets. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Mosaic allows you to simplify and even automate numerous monthly tasks including ARR reporting, headcount planning, SaaS metric reporting & benchmarking. Building visuals is extremely simple and straightforward and can be easily shared to internal stakeholders. FP&A tasks that historically took multiple days can now be done in a fraction of the time, leaving more time to analyze results and derive key business insights. Implementation and support teams are extremely helpful in go-live and ongoing support. #### Cons Some integrations can be limited based on internal structure, but there are workarounds. #### Reasons for switching to Bob Finance Tool was not tailored to SaaS and we were getting little value from the tool. Built in logic There is quite a bit of flexibility in how to set up models and and calculations. Built in logic for headcount alleviates many struggles with the complexity of personnel forecasting. The comparison reports make tracking and comparing multiple forecasts and actual financials simple. #### Cons The documentation could be organized better and have more information and examples about certain features. Reporting functionality requires a lot of clicks to get certain data points, especially forecast metrics other than financial account values. In a start up things change from week to week and it's great that we're able to remodel scenarios in an instant and feed information into our Executive team to make strategic decisions quicker. It has so many built-in dashboards and built-in metrics as well as customizable dashboards that you can tailor to your business. #### Cons One thing Mosaic can improve on is it's headcount planning module. We have a ton of visibility into how our expense/headcount are tracking, and headcount planning is very straight forward. Many of our department heads have found Mosaic a much easier way to ingest data than the google sheets we were using previously. As a main administrator, I use Mosaic weekly & it simplifies our budget refreshes & BVA reporting significantly. #### Cons We are still using google sheets/excel files for more complex parts of our modelling (revenue), as they offer flexibility & speed of updating that Mosaic can't match. We also use google sheets when we need people outside the Finance team to comment or suggest edits, as Mosaic does not have those collaborative capabilities. There are multiple systems integrations that seamlessly pull in data. Once you learn how to use the platform, navigation is intuitive . I am a primary user and use Mosaic on a weekly basis. Their support is very responsive and for quick questions, the chatbot is actually useful. #### Cons Mosaic is constantly improving on their product. I have used their software for several years and there have been some big improvements. A few things I dislike about the software are: 1. Have to unpublish models before editing them, making it difficult to edit a model and look at the canvas at the same time. 2. Unable to edit data coming in from data sources.
