I would certainly recommend getting a demonstration if you are looking for a new case management system. The support received from our account manager \[sensitive content hidden\] is excellent. Cons: The technical support can be very efficient but at times as if your issue needs to escalate this can take longer to resolve. It would be an improvement, if technical could jump onto your machine quicker rather than using chat. The cost of the product is on the expensive side compared to other products, but provided you use the product as intended i.e. precedents, workflows, the built in AI capabilities then the efficiencies gained does help to offset the cost. The possibilities are endless, the various LEAP Development teams we work with are all really open to our feedback and ideas and from an owner point of view, it now feels more like a partnership. It's no standard AI, the intelligence of AI Paralegal, CRM (I chat with pilot constantly), Matter Issues, Pathways, Ruffle, it's just endless the support it is starting to provide and with time we will see across all areas, leaving our employees to do the most vital work, the client communication and legal judgement without the distraction of everything else. Cons: Until the launch of LawY, it would have been how irrelevant the software was becoming after the integrations to PEXA etc as forms went online. Now, it's going from ease of use in one area, and then having it more clunky in another (this document automation, Java Script, Workflows etc). Tasks sitting outside of LEAP and that the new creations like Pathways, Matter Issues, AI Paralegal are not all planned to meet in one location with the tasks from the outset. Currently experience more difficulty using auto time so have staff still manually tracking and that their entries can't read the matter to know if they should be $0.00 rate or billable rate depending on type of matter. Reasons for choosing LEAP Integration won out. If we can aim to remove human error, and instead let team member's focus on what they do best, then why wouldn't we stick with a product who values integration. Having matters, documents, billing, trust accounting, and correspondence in one system lowers admin burden and cognitive load. When used properly, LEAP effectively replaces a junior lawyer, practice manager, and compliance officer in one platform Cons: It may be cost–effort imbalance when you’re not fully using it. It feels expensive for a sole practitioner, especially given the time needed to set up and maintain precedents and workflows. The desktop interface can feel clunky and dated, and email handling—particularly with Outlook Web—adds unnecessary manual steps. LEAP is also quite rigid: you must work “the LEAP way”, which can feel frustrating when you want speed or flexibility. From initial set up and data migration, the guys have all been great to deal with. We're more efficiently able manage client communications, case progression, document storage and account ledgers. The reporting suite is particularly good, as well. The all-in-one structure (matter management, billing, document automation) is also appealing, especially for small firms trying to keep everything centralized. Document automation and precedents can save a lot of time once everything is set up properly. Routine documents like separation agreements and correspondence become much faster to produce. Support is generally responsive, and onboarding resources are there if you’re willing to invest the time. Cons: The learning curve is real. LEAP is not particularly intuitive at the start, and getting your workflows and templates running smoothly can take significant effort. Ratings Breakdown 5 Ease of use 5 Value for money 5 Customer support 5 Functionality Pros: Leap has a user-friendly interface, comprehensive support material on its site, and access in real time to technical support when needed. But it is much more than a timekeeping and billing app. It is a comprehensive law office management tool. It has vastly simplified my practice. It is now longer a dreaded, tedious, chore to prepare invoices. A few simple steps, they are done. Payments are easily credited. I can call up every invoice from the client account. I can also find all correspondence and email in each client account. Am AI feature conducts research for me. Cons: I dislike the new timesheet. It replaced one which I considered to be more intuitive.
