For example, I'd like to use it for moving heads, and add fields like Lamp Hours etc. Also, I'm missing a feature to add/find a record by barcode (use barcode scanner to identify the product). Perhaps in future a booking sign-in and sign out feature. This could build up a bigger picture of where an assets has been and for what it was used for. Reasons for choosing Papertrail Papertrail was quicker and easier to use and get off the ground than building our own database from scratch. Plus has more features for us to use than excel. All our training records are now completely on Papertrail and its also great to have the link between our records and vendors that we work with, such as Gibbs etc, so that they can upload copies of certs to us without the duplication of work. Ratings Breakdown 5 Ease of use 5 Customer support 5 Functionality Pros: Its very easy to use, set up folders and if you're insure then the online support is also a huge help Cons: The only things that I think I would like changed are that it would be good to see a small image of the cert that's been uploaded, without having to click into the record, It shows that there is a possibility to have an image, and I'm sure that there must be a way, but I'm not certain how it works. The only other thing is that when I try and put my folders into a certain order (alphabetical) they keep moving slightly and they won't stay in place/order. Again, I'm not sure how that can be remedied, its just annoying more than anything. And also that certs can be stored so they can also gain access to these at all times. After speaking with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] I found out we were able to add other options such as 'awaiting certificate' 'NA at present' 'New training request' which now give a full honest view of training records. Reporting feature had a few technical issues at first - again these have been resolved Reasons for choosing Papertrail Paper trail was already established and when we were given a demo it looked like the best fit for what we wanted it to do. Reasons for switching to Papertrail Excel wasn't practical for running off reports and it was down to the eye and a highlighter to mark any up and coming training where as with this feature I can now track and see straight away what is coming up with no risk of missing anything.
