Cons: \-Not having Apple Pay, -No font selections on branded app -More style selection options on buttons in branded app (I love how you can round the buttons-- but I don't like how the same function rounds the preview boxes of promo cards and video thumbnails) -Linked Instagram -- it would be cool to be able to link instructors' instagram profiles to their bio info Reasons for choosing Arketa I think the biggest reasons are because of the connections I made with the people within Arketa. Being able to speak directly to my Arketa team and honestly not feel as though I was being "sold" on something... I made the decision to choose Arketa because it felt right in my gut - and I'm so happy I did! Being "sold" on a software was what I experienced with Glofox and I knew I wanted to believe in whomever I would be doing business within software for my next software selection. I'm very happy to report that \[sensitive content hidden\], from the Arketa tech team, subsequently reached out to me and she has helped to resolve most of my outstanding tech issues, which involved the Zoom interface, automated confirmation emails to my clients, as well as some difficulties with clients logging on to their accounts. I have yet to resolve my problems with client invoicing, but I think that will be our next hurdle. Stripe Payment Platform and Zoom interface. I LOVE that there is an option to choose the client paying the extra credit card fees when they book a class! Cons: I was automatically migrated to the new Arketa website from Sutra Pro (the previous iteration of Arketa) which I signed up for in 2022. I loved Sutra Pro-it was easy to use and quite intuitive. This will probably NOT be an issue for new Arketa users, but for me the changeover to Arketa was mind boggling! They have added many automations, but I really didn't understand how they were supposed to work, and there a re SO many choices! The new Arketa Dashboard is MUCH more complicated than Sutra Pro, and it is NOT very intuitive, at least for me! With the migration from Sutra Pro in 2024 to Arketa and as a longtime Member (from Sutra Pro days) I felt the tech support I personally needed was simply not there for me Yes, there is an online help chat line, and there are recorded instructional videos, but I found I would sit for hours with many different windows open on my computer, trying to "fix" my ongoing issues, as I followed the instructional videos. Sometimes it worked, other times it didn't. As with any new launch, there were some big missteps, including a tech mess-up with my (previously flawless) Zoom interface. With Arketa, many new Automations have been added, and although I worked very hard at updating my account I was really struggling with the lack of communication & support, until quite recently. FYI, although every user might not need it, I would be happy to pay a bit more for some personalized tech support and help! Reasons for choosing Arketa Arketa offered superior functionality (e.g. compared to Team Up) at the best cost-value relationship (e.g. Mariana Tek which was way over our budget). The other platforms had what we needed on the surface but missed the mark on many of the functionalities we required such as on-demand library and being a system that had seamless integration with our website. If a feature didn't work properly, that suggested a workaround instead of fixing it. Most admin tasks took a million steps. Have one-off events? Good luck. Want your SMS automation to actually send? That's a joke. Expect to wait a long time for support and for the majority of responses to be gaslighting. Want to get out of their contract due to products not working properly (which is listed in the contract as a way to get out)? I was dragging my feet trying knowing I needed a new website and scheduling platform but I was hesitant to start the process because no one company ever seems to have exactly what you want. I responded to an ad for Arketa on Instagram and set up a demo and was hooked immediately and THANK GOD for that, because it has been a god send. They knew they planned on adding additional costs to the processing company's fees. When brought up they agreed to waive them, but this would only be for 1 year, then we'd have to deal with their excessive charges. Their fees they tack on weren't brought up until we started to transfer over to their system. At that point we told them we had no interest in dealing with them. It also turns out that their processing company, stripe, has a reputation for dropping customers who don't align with their political views (eg Rumble, Parlor and others). Ratings Breakdown 1 Ease of use 1 Value for money 1 Customer support 1 Functionality Pros: There's nothing we saw in Arketa which was any better than any other CRM vendor. Cons: When they contacted us we told them we weren't interested in talking with any company until we went over processing fees. It's the only concern we have with our current CRM company, WellnessLiving. They assured us our rates would be lower with their processing company. However, what they do, unlike every other CRM company is tack on additional percentages to what the processing company charges, so any savings are evaporated. Their monthly fees are higher, but the overall cost would have been lower. They wasted my time and the time of my team members. Reasons for switching to Arketa The only reason we considered switch was to save money on the monthly credit card processing fees. What arketa fails to let you know is that they add additional fees onto the credit card processor's fees.
