Maya has everything you need for 3D animation and more. I have even produced motion graphics with it. It became an industry need for a reason: it's effective in what it does. #### Cons Unfortunately, its high price and paid updates make it pale in comparison to Blender. The latter software is not only free and open source, but it has all the functionality of paid software. It comes with many tools that cover polygon and NURBS modeling, rendering and lighting, rigging and animation, particles effect, muscles systems and more. It's an expensive software but you can achieve incredible results, with a proper formation #### Cons Maya is pretty expensive, this is undoubted.
