The software is easy to navigate and user friendly. #### Cons The Executive Dashboard is not robust or customizable. I don't like that PR is geared towards Unions. I don't like that you can't edit an invoice's basic information like description or accounting date without having to void the entire transaction. #### Reasons for choosing FOUNDATION Really the Price. It was expensive and we felt Foundation was easier to use. #### Reasons for switching to FOUNDATION Integration. The Sage Project Management module was seperate and they had invoicing going from the PM module to Accounting. It was a mess and you couldn't get a decent report. We also struggled to set up payroll. All the solutions are very easy to use and can be learned quickly. The launch process for each of the products we use was done step-by-step with a dedicated transition manager, and we never felt like we were left in the dark. Their customer service is impeccable. #### Cons Although there are many customizable features within many of the Foundation products, I do wish there were some additional options available. It has been easy to close my first month end with Foundation. We consolidated some of our old accounts and the statement groupings make more sense. #### Cons The tables can be hard to navigate and I'm still figuring out troubleshooting errors (getting there). The job costing is detailed and reliable, which is critical when you are managing labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment across multiple jobs. We also use other FOUNDATION products like Vendrix for credit cards, WorkMax for time tracking, and HRHQ. Having everything connected makes a big difference. Credit card transactions flow into the system, field time from WorkMax ties into payroll and job costs, and HRHQ helps keep employee information organized. It feels like a full ecosystem instead of separate software that does not talk to each other. #### Cons There is a learning curve, especially in the beginning. It is a powerful system and requires proper setup and training to use it the right way. Job costing required too many workarounds, and reporting was limited when it came to tracking detailed labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs by job. As the company grew, we needed stronger construction-specific features, better project visibility, and more integrated tools. It keeps all of our accounting straight with one software. You can scan documents into Foundation for employee files, billings, payments. I would love to open a job and go to the next without having to close the job. A service profitability report would be nice for a service side. Anytime I get stuck help is always just a phone call away! We have been able to utilize custom reports to get the data out exactly how we want it and the set up wasn't too bad (since we had great help!) #### Cons It doesn't do *everything* we want but it does so much more than Sage and it has shaved a huge burden off of our accounting department. On-boarding was really hard work - but it helped us get down into what we really needed and helped us get familiar with Foundation at the same time. The customer support is very quick to respond and answer any of my questions. It is very good as far as tracking hours in payroll. #### Cons The scrolling on reports is difficult. One of my biggest complaints is the length of time it takes to get a call from support.
