# Adobe Acrobat Reader User Reviews

## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.6/5
- Total reviews: 10,545

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.5/5
- Customer support: 4.3/5
- Value for money: 4.4/5
- Functionality: 4.4/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 7,425 reviews (70%)
- 4 stars: 2,606 reviews (25%)
- 3 stars: 449 reviews (4%)
- 2 stars: 45 reviews (0%)
- 1 star: 20 reviews (0%)

### Most mentioned pros

- Free, lightweight, and highly reliable PDF reader with strong compatibility, smooth performance, and essential tools for viewing, commenting, and signing documents.
- It makes viewing and navigating documents effortless, while also supporting easy editing and creation of PDFs without disrupting formatting.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader is a dependable and user-friendly PDF viewer that excels in providing quick and stable access to documents.

### Most mentioned cons

- The last example - when trying to find a type of signature, you need to pick from several features in menu without any help icons of whatsoever - it is really annoying for a typical user.
- Frustrating, and ultimately I switched to PDF Express for the versatility, cost and utility. If I could surgically excise Adobe from my PC and Android phone completely, I would, but it's like a leech.
- However, its file conversion and advanced features are limited without a paid plan, which affects overall value for money.

#### Ratings breakdown

We used to use Microsoft to edit our documents, however Adobe offers way more functions and versatility, that allows us to produce a higher output of work.

### Greedy for your money and stripped out simple tools from Free Reader!

Garbage, they are about one of the greediest software companies out there. They have so many other products to make money from and they chose to scale-down the free Reader, which forces you to buy or, like me, went elsewhere.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 1/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 1/5

#### Pros

It works with most all pdf files and is free to download.

#### Cons

Adobe removed the majority of the simple tools that used to be in the free version. For example, I can no longer rotate a pdf, you need the pay version for that. And forget about annotation, nope, gotta pay for that too. Way too greedy for us to recommend to our customers. We send them elsewhere.

#### Reasons for choosing Adobe Acrobat Reader

Because it was free but so are better competitors out there.
