About Visual Components

Visual Components is a 3D manufacturing simulation software. It enables users to create production line and factory layouts. The software caters to a range of industries such as automotive, electronics, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, heavy machinery, industrial automation, packaging, palletizing, intralogistics, warehousing, white goods, and food and beverage.

The software features an extensive library of over 3,000 pre-defined and ready-to-use components. This includes 1,600 robots from 70 different brands. This allows users to quickly design and simulate their production systems. Visual Components also enables virtual commissioning. This connects virtual systems with physical PLCs and robot controllers. This allows users to debug and streamline their manufacturing processes.

The software can improve robot utilization by up to 95% through fast and intelligent offline programming. This is for tasks such as welding, material processing, or spray painting. Compared to traditional manual programming using a robot teach pendant, Visual Components can save up to 80% of time in robot programming. This increases efficiency and productivity.

    Cons:
The demand of GPU and CPU power if you work on huge layouts.

    Pros:
Easily drop in Solidworks models and get a true sense of the layout vs. 2D AutoCAD. We purchased VR goggles so the user can be "dropped into" the cell to feel it out. We attended a training and it really helped us get up and going.
    Cons:
Animating the cell takes more time invested than the reward reaped from seeing it animated. The data we need is better gathered from a 2D simulation vs. a 3D so that it is more accurate/exact. Also the female operator wears heels, has an inch of midriff showing, and a large chest - it is weird.
