About Digistorm Apps

Digistorm Apps is a white-label parent communication platform for K-12 educational organizations. It helps schools build tailored apps and comes with a wealth of customizable modules for contacts, book lists, timetables, calendars, newsletters, notices, maps, social media, and sections dedicated to performing arts, sports, festivities, etc.

Schools can showcase upcoming school trips, share PTA reminders, and organize school tours with the built-in calendar module. It sends important notifications to parents using push notifications. The tool provides parents with all required documents, from enrollment forms to senior year records.

Digistorm Apps come with SSO login, and it integrates with Clipboard, Schoolbox, Edumate, Tass, and EdSmart to make transitioning to the school app seamless for parents. Through constant communication, it makes families a part of the school community by keeping them connected to teachers and school staff.

A great app for school communication and integration

We contacted Digistorm with a last minute request to get our app ready within weeks for the new school year. They were happy to oblige and presented a very professional, customised, on-brand and functional app very quickly. A highlight of the platform for me has been Digistorm's ability to take calendar information from our school information system and integrate it not only with our app, but our website and Outlook/iCal too. They have also been fast to implement a new feature from our school information system, now allowing parents to submit student absences from the Digistorm app straight into our SIS.

Finally a product that understands K-12!

From implementation through to go-live the experience with eduAPP was seamless. Dedicated project staff, designers and support staff meant that we were kept up-to-date every step of the way. The tech jargon was gone and real speak occurred during every session. Nothing was a problem, they actually listen and the rollout was a success.

Pros:

The parent user experience was beyond expectations but then we saw the back-end and wow; they even thought about our admin users! So often products neglect the actual people doing the work but not eduAPP. The back end is simple to use and easy to navigate making the front end user experience a breeze.

Cons:

Not much to be honest, the little bumps along the way were smoothed out before go-live and any bespoke requests were either handled through the development phase or scheduled for future versions. This company are young, dynamic and agile and continue to challenge the product, which I love!

Reasons for choosing Digistorm Apps

We chose eduAPP because they genuinely understand the pain points that come along with the K-12 educational space. They were flexible, knowledgable and most importantly listened to our needs, then delivered. They were honest and ensured we had a fit-for-purpose product putting our needs ahead of theirs.

Great software. Great company. Great people.

We had particularly complex requirements for our implementation, which Digistorm did not flinch at and have not skipped a beat during the entire process. EduApp has revolutionised the way the school communicates with our parent community.

Pros:

The ability to integrate with any system we threw at it. The ease of use for administrators and end-users. The flexibility of the platform, company and staff. Great value for money.

Cons:

I genuinely can't think of any. It's been a positive experience all the way through.

Reasons for choosing Digistorm Apps

We chose Digistorm and eduAPP for 3 main reasons. They could accomodate our long and complex list of requirements, it was excellent value for money, and possibly most importantly, the people we dealt with were just great people.

Love our Digistorm app and their customer service!

Pros:

Our previous school app was done on DIY software that frequently had user issues. When we switched to Digistorm about a year ago, the process was very smooth and the finished app is everything we hoped for (and more!). The new app that Digistorm created for our school is well organized, easy to use, and looks great. The customer service is also exceptional. Not only did they guide us through the entire process from planning the app layout and function through development, but they also helped us successfully launch the new app with our community. I highly recommend Digistorm!! The Digistorm app gives us an extra means of communication with our community (the push notification function is great!) and it also serves as a quick one-stop-shop for accessing the most important things to our community members (i.e. calendar, bell schedule, news, important links, and more).

Cons:

There is nothing I don't like about this software.
