I like the notes and the estimated value and actual value tracker. Awesome. Love the share feature. That is amazing. #### Cons I would really like the ability to assign tasks to contractors still under my responsibility. So assigned to Alex and the trade would be company A. Then have a monthly chart for company A showing all my projects to see if I have over lapped them with another project I have going. If they are a small company and can’t service both jobs this would be a problem. Then also a calendar view of the project with as sub trades. No incentive was offered I have only been using this for a day and I am already blown away by how much better this is than even the big name versions like Microsoft's, which is genuinely unusable. I have been entering in my projects and the experience has been smooth and pleasant. I have found several new tools along the way which I am exited to use going forward. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Intuitive, easy to use, easy to read, well organized information, powerful, adaptable, self contained, collaboration with non-users, reasonably priced, exceptional customer service (and self help with the learning center). #### Cons I've only used it for about a day now but I've not found much. The time off tool looks like that could use some work, it would be good to have a company wide vacation option. The ability to make groups of people to assign a task to could be useful. One this I did want to do but was unable to was make a check list. The closest thing to it is to make subtasks but I don't want them to have dates or need hours. I would also like to be able to add information to resources, like contact information, for project specific outside help. Also, a place to add notes on the project itself for customer information and project specs. I really like the easy handling of adding and changing tasks, the possibility to see the critical paths and deadlines. It makes my life easier to keep track on several projects in parallel. Notifications about deadlines would be again but this is really for lazy ones. ;) #### Cons To provide the customer a status in form of the project plan the excel export doesn´t looks that nice. I still have to adapt too much. I can´t send out a image neither as there are too many internal information. That´s why I created an additional project so far to simplify everything. I don´t like that I can add an other workpackages / section. I always have to switch to Asana to do this. It could be also the case that I didn´t find the button for that. If tasks have to be done in parallel and you like to show the critical path it is sometimes not that clear which tasks is dependent to another as it is overlapping. If tasks are already done and to mark the tasks as done later on unfortunately that date is saved as the done date. It makes analysis about the performance at the end a bit falsified. #### Reasons for choosing Instagantt Asana is used as an overall project management tool. I didn´t want to increases the tools number in the company. It is hard to commit other colleagues on different platforms. The functionalities of Trello of adding tasks and information in a certain detail level weren´t that handy as in Instagantt. However, Trello is really nice for SCRUM management methods. #### Reasons for switching to Instagantt I needed the a visualization of the project time line getting a better overview. This one was by far the fastest, best and most organized. I got surprised by the AI generated task description with correct references which were high quality and very exact to what they actually are. #### Cons I am missing a flow diagram overview. That would support the overall visual overview.
