Excellent booking platform with outstanding support

Overall our experience with Sailia has been extremely positive. It provides all the tools we need to manage bookings, payments, waivers, and session management for our surf school. The system saves us a huge amount of admin time and keeps everything organised in one place. Combined with their excellent support team, it’s been a reliable platform that allows us to focus more on running sessions and less on managing bookings.

Pros:

Sailia does everything we need to run our surf school. We use it to sell surf lessons, activity passes, bundles, vouchers, and events, all in one place. The platform handles a lot of the operational details automatically — collecting waivers, sending follow-ups, highlighting incomplete bookings, and generating a clear register for each session so we know exactly who is attending. What really stands out is the support. The Sailia team are incredibly responsive and helpful. Support requests are usually answered almost immediately, and on a few occasions they’ve even implemented small feature improvements overnight to help solve issues for us.

Cons:

Some parts of the user interface aren’t always intuitive at first, so there can be a small learning curve when setting things up. The payment processing fees are also a little higher than some alternatives, but given the range of features and the quality of support, we’ve found it worth it.

Sailia Has Been A Game Changer For Rye

What can I say… Sailia has been a game changer for us. The ease of use is outstanding. Making adjustments from your phone when out of the office; changing course dates, numbers, availability, pricing - is all incredibly slick and straightforward. Processing refunds or converting bookings to credit is just as easy, which means customer issues can be sorted quickly and efficiently with no hassle at all. The calendar and rota views are another standout feature. You can tailor them to suit the way you work, and they’re both really user-friendly and visually clean. And the Xero integration… this is something I’ve wanted for Rye from the very beginning. Having that seamless thread from front office to back office is huge for us, and Sailia has absolutely nailed it with this update. What really stands out is that, despite all the functionality available on the admin side, the customer experience remains incredibly smooth and simple. That ease for the customer genuinely drives bookings, and more importantly, repeat bookings too. One thing I’d definitely recommend is taking the time to properly set up the automated comms and follow-up emails. Once those are dialled in, the conversions and repeat engagement definitely come. Lastly, the driving force behind the whole system, \[sensitive content hidden\]. We’re genuinely grateful to have had their support throughout. From the outset, nothing was ever too much trouble. They’ve always been available, responsive, and incredibly quick to resolve any glitches or issues that came up along the way. Sailia feels like a system built by people who really understand how watersports businesses operate day to day and that makes all the difference.

Everything, from ease of use to Xero integration Sailia covers a lot of bases. Not limiting it to being desktop reliant is also a huge bonus.

Cons:

Perhaps working better for Android would be good. Sometimes there are a few bugs and glitches but these are usually quickly resolved.

Having a platform that is designed and built by people who have worked in the industry, and truly understand the specific requirements that is needed for an outdoor centre is a game changer. Having used countless other companies in the past, nothing quite worked with our business, but since switching to Sailia, everything has been more user friendly, streamlined and efficient. The customer service is second to non and we would never look back.

The best thing about Sailia is just how well the creators have tailored it for the outdoor industry. With the ability to easily create new courses and products and customise dates, timings and participants easily makes running a water sports centre and large staff team incredibly easy.

Cons:

Having been using Sailia for over 2 years now, there is very little I can think of that doesn't work smoothly on Sailia.

It is a simple user friendly software from a customer booking perspective. Making course admements, removing / adding / adjusting numbers is really straight forward The guys have made it as simple as they can and its ideal

At present we are currently getting alot of clients booking in courses who either want 1:1, group bookings and corperate companies. For this we have started invoicing a little more - it would be good if there was a way corperate company employees or groups can book onto it but only 1 person pays the bill
