I love it. As a dentist that does the day to day managing of the office it has significantly reduce my work load. It also has been easy to teach to my team. More efficient in every way. Patients love the digital forms.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It's extremely easy to teach to my team (especially the ones without dental background). Very easy to communicate with patients and within the office. Autoverification, forms and reminders save valuable time for front desk. Payment plans, kiosk, keeping a card on file makes it easy to collect money. Integrates our core office functions into one platform. Archy app is very convenient.

#### Cons

Ledger- works different then most dental software. It takes some time to understand it. Harder to teach this aspect. Transfer of records from previous software was difficult but doable.

#### Reasons for switching to Archy

Denticon service has gotten worse over the years (With them for 20+ years). The software was dated and difficult to teach to non dental people.

### A Refreshing Upgrade from Traditional Dental Software

Overall, our experience with Archy has been very positive. It’s a forward-thinking system that aligns well with modern, fee-for-service practices like ours. While it’s not perfect, the platform is continuously improving, and the support team is responsive and open to feedback. It has helped us simplify operations and create a better experience for both our team and our patients.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Archy has been a great all-in-one system for our dental office. The interface is clean and modern, which makes it much easier to train new team members compared to older systems. We especially like the built-in patient communication tools (texting, forms, reminders) and how everything is centralized instead of needing multiple platforms. The ability to streamline front desk workflows—like scheduling, confirmations, and forms—has significantly improved our efficiency.

#### Cons

There is definitely a learning curve, especially during the initial setup and transition period. Some features still feel like they’re evolving, and there are occasional limitations or workarounds needed for more complex situations (especially with insurance workflows). Reporting could also be more robust and customizable.

#### Reasons for switching to Archy

We wanted to try an all-in-one cloud based system.

### From a clinician point of view

We had challenges transferring records especially xrays, customer service is not readily available. The system slows down sometime and disrupts work.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

Pearl ai feature is something that i really like. It helps with patient education and acceptance rate.

#### Cons

1. Charting & Odontogram Visibility Currently, watch indicators on the odontogram become obscured when a restoration (e.g., filling or crown) is present. For example, if a watch is placed on the distal surface and a filling exists or is later added, the watch becomes hidden and is only represented by a small “W.” Suggestion: Watch indicators should remain clearly visible on the exact surface where they were placed, regardless of existing or future restorations. 2. Color Differentiation in the Odontogram Some color codes in the odontogram are too similar, making it difficult to distinguish between statuses at a glance. For instance, recommended treatment (red) and referred treatment (dark red) are visually too close. Suggestion: Use more contrasting and intuitive color schemes so that the odontogram is immediately interpretable. Ideally, within a second of viewing, the clinician should clearly understand treatment status without needing to analyze the legend. 3. Editing Recommended Restorations Editing treatment surfaces is currently inefficient. For example, changing a one-surface filling to a three-surface filling requires deleting the original code and re-entering a new one with updated surfaces. Suggestion: Allow dynamic editing of restoration surfaces. The system should automatically update the procedure code based on the number of selected surfaces, eliminating the need to delete and re-enter codes. This would significantly reduce unnecessary steps and improve workflow efficiency. 4. Tooth-Specific History Tracking There is no easy way to view the complete history of a specific tooth. To understand the progression of a single tooth (e.g., #14), we must manually review the patient’s full chart, notes, and treatment history, which is very time-consuming. Suggestion: Introduce a tooth-specific history view. By clicking on a tooth, clinicians should be able to see a chronological timeline of all relevant events, such as: Watch placements Restoration Crowns Re-cementations Notes and changes over time This feature would provide immediate insight into the tooth’s condition and history, improving both diagnosis and treatment planning. 5. X-Ray Management & Comparison The current X-ray workflow requires selecting a new template each time images are taken, which makes longitudinal comparison difficult. Over time, this results in multiple templates that must be manually reviewed to track changes for a specific tooth. Suggestion: Implement a unified, continuous X-ray template where new images are automatically added to the same layout, aligned by tooth and position, with timestamps. This would allow clinicians to: View all historical X-rays for a tooth in one place Easily compare past and current images Avoid navigating through multiple templates While the existing comparison tool is helpful, it is still time-consuming to manually locate and select images across different templates.

The owner decided to make that switch to a new software

Overall, Archy has been amazing from the jump. The transition was smooth, the integration was seamless, and every moment in between has been better than the last.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like most about Archy is the constant user support. Archy listens to their users/customers and applies what is necessary to make our jobs easier. From the easy to use interface, to the self explanatory features, Archy always has something that makes my job easier. I love their modern design, portability, and ability to give feedback.

#### Cons

Not a single thing. I would, however, love some features that may be released at a later date, like the ability to customize all paperwork, the ability to go into dark mode, and more auditing settings.

#### Reasons for switching to Archy

We made the switche because it wasn't complicated. Archy was simple. It was an all-in-one platform that offered everything we needed and some without having to work with multiple vendors.

Overall, it's a young system that has grown a lot and is consistently working to improve and get better. I can see Archy becoming one of the most widely used dental software options in the future. It offers many features that other systems don't, which really sets it apart. The team is always willing to discuss features we'd like to see and any improvements that could be made. Their customer service is also just a chat away whenever we have questions about different things.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

I like that their customer support is always there to help and the system is overall incredibly intuitive for offices and has good training which makes integration easier. They also take our feedback into account as well.

#### Cons

I don't love the billing/ledger side of things, but they ve taken our feedback on this area and are working on updates to make it better for users.

#### Pros

Easy to use, helps you to achieve the most out of each patient's appointment. From easy access to all patient information to fastest customer service access when needed.

Nothing really, Archy is overall a great software. I do come from an Open Dental software background and getting used to the way dental notes are done was a little bit of a challenge but overall great platform.
