We transitioned from Jira XRay to QA Sphere and the migration was a "nightmare" but more because of the limited possibilities to "export" the data from JIRA XRay (finally we dumped the JIRA database and merged several unstructured json files into only a few structured ones) . However, the team of QA Sphere was real helpful in taking whatever they get from us and migrating our test cases as smooth as possible. What I like most about QA Sphere is the possibility to bring in suggestions or even bigger feature requests (e.g. parameterized test-cases, picture in test-cases, ...) and that they actually implement it in a reasonable time. In general the support and responsiveness is real great! There are some small bugs here and there, but if you raise them, they get fixed asap. That is really helpful!

Functionality

Pros:

Its so much quicker and more responsive than JIRA XRay! Feels like an app that is developed for testing... Its simple. Has a really step learning curve and you get quite quickly what you need to know by just clicking through the software! Direct contact to developer or \[sensitive content hidden\] via email and responsiveness / openness about improvement suggestions, bug fixes... Its still a product that is in development a lot, so there is small bugs here and there, but if you raise them, they get fixed asap. That is really helpful!

Cons:

Its still a product that is in development a lot, so there is small bugs here and there, but if you raise them, they get fixed asap. That is really helpful! Sometimes the user experience is a bit weak and I think "please use your own software a bit more and look at it from a critical point of view...". Good thing is: its getting improved!

Reasons for switching to QA Sphere

Because Jira XRay was to slow and expensive
