Shopview > Fullbay

The best part of the whole experience is the person in charge of my integration let me test the software in its entirety, for has long as I needed. Fullbay did not want me to test beforehand , that only made me choose Shopview. If I find a bug or a problem, there is always someone in the chat ready to help.

Pros:

The customer service is the best part of the whole program. The monthly fee is very affordable. The program works on all platforms. The customer service is open to all changes or modifications you need for the software.

Cons:

I run a small engine shop, of which the software was not design for me, but slowly the team is making the necessary changes. If your in Canada, you have to pay in US currency.

Reports That Don’t Report to a Spreadsheet From The Abyss

Before ShopView, I’ve spent more hours (and let’s not talk about the dollars) wrestling with clunky software and spreadsheet gymnastics just to get the right data to manage my team properly. Seriously, this thing is saving me time, money, and probably a few remaining brain cells. At this point, it feels less like software and more like a very competent coworker who actually shows up on time and knows what they’re doing.

Let me just say: if ShopView's "Reports" page were a person, I’d buy them a drink and a cookie. This thing is the MVP of my workday. The number of features that this beast unleashes is mind-boggling. What I like best (aside from the fact that it doesn't make me cry like Shopmonkey used to) is how it lets me track "technician efficiency" in a beautiful, job-by-job, line-by-line symphony of productivity. You pick your date range, you get your data, and voila—numbers! Useful numbers! In formats that don't make you want to throw your computer into the river. It doesn’t stop there. The “advisor analysis” tab does the same magic for service advisors. It’s like ShopView handed me a crystal ball for team performance, only it’s not mystical—it’s just shockingly well-designed software. Gone are the dark days of building Franken-sheets in Excel, manually dragging formulas across columns. Now I just click a few buttons, export in the format of my choosing (Excel, maybe a stone tablet if they add that next), and boom—clarity. In short, ShopView's Reports page is the best thing to happen to my workflow since the invention of Ctrl+Z. Bravo.

Cons:

Right now? I’ve got nothing bad to say about ShopView. Zilch. Nada. It’s the software equivalent of finding fries at the bottom of the bag—unexpectedly delightful and exactly what you needed. It’s genuinely filling a big gap in the industry. Before this, we were stitching together data like medieval monks with spreadsheets. Now, it’s just point, click, export, done. I don’t even get the chance to scream into my monitor anymore. And I miss that a little. But I’ll get over it. If I had one tiny suggestion—make it free. Completely, 100% free. I mean, if you’re already changing the game, might as well go full superhero.

The entire staff from sales to ownership are friendly and accessible. Training is thorough and proactive. Product usability is intuitive and easy to implement and roll out.

Cons:

I would like to see more API connectivity with other business applications we are using but as I understand it they are rolling out more such capabilities in the coming months.

Shopview seemed to have easier rollout. Fullbay is now private equity owned where as Shopview is still small business / privately owned. Prefer to do business with small and privately owned businesses.

Shopview is always ready, are you?

It just works, it does exactly what you want to do, exactly when you want to do it. Whether you need to toy with work orders in the middle of the night due to having feral children, receive invoices on the weekend and do an inventory recount during the closed hours, it doesn't matter. It's always ready for you.

It never breaks down, it's a well oiled machine that you can always rely on. I wish our vehicles were as reliable as shopview.

Cons:

I really don't like that it took so long for our company to start using shopview, when we had heard about it a long time before we launched it. This isn't a problem of shopview itself, but maybe extra reviews will help people like our upper management make the right choice sooner.

Crappy customer service, crappy implementation of features, long wait times. Shopmonkey is too inflated, not ready for work like Shopview.

It only took me one day of training to get the hang of ShopView, and it’s been making my days so much easier ever since. Now I use it all the time on my phone and tablet while I’m on the road. It’s made scheduling, tracking, and delegating my daily tasks way more efficient—and honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without it now.

What really stands out to me about ShopView is how user-friendly it is. These days, picking up new computer systems isn’t always easy—but with ShopView, it just clicked. I was able to pick it up quickly and start working more efficiently that very same day. It’s made a big difference in how smoothly my day goes.

Cons:

At the moment, I have to refresh the page to see updates on work orders in ShopView, but it would be awesome to have those changes show up in real time. Hopefully that’s something coming down the line.

With Fullbay, I ran into a lot of bugs and downtime, which really disrupted my workflow. As a specialist who's always on the go, I need my scheduling system to be reliable—otherwise, I risk losing valuable customers. That’s why I appreciate ShopView so much. Their customer service is fantastic, and they keep things running smoothly. I know I can count on ShopView, every time—way more than I ever could with Fullbay.

Coming from another shop management software the change was night and day. Great ease of use, customer service and tons of new features all the time!

Cons:

We were an early adopter after launch. There were a few flaws in the beginning but tech support and customer service had updates rolled out very quickly to address any major issues.

These ease of use is great for someone who inst too tech savy. Customer support has been great thanks to our Client Success Manager \[sensitive content hidden\] (he's the bestest) So far the value for money has been great haven't ran into any bugs or issues. We havent used it much on mobile so cannot speak on that part. Invoice management has been a breeze and it is great for building estimates and getting customer approval on estimates. Great for keeping track of customers and fleet vehicles that we work on. Fast Program!

Cons:

So far there are no cons really just a few features we wish they would implement, such as getting vehicle information from a License Plate and vendor connection so we would have to copy part numbers and prices.
