healow Genie allows medical practices to offer intelligent self-service capabilities and automatic routing of calls and requests to the appropriate staff, whether for appointment scheduling, billing questions, referrals, medication refills, or other needs. The platform enables managers to automatically handle patients' urgent medical needs with smart triaging that connects patients with on-call physicians.

healow Genie can automatically generate outbound calls to individuals or groups of patients. Key features include real-time access for patients to vital health information, instantly answered calls, automatic call routing, zero seconds on-hold time, automated outbound calls and campaigns , and after-hours patient assistance. It offers patient self-service for frequently asked questions, appointment management, referral and refill requests, and much more.

Whatever is the preferred method of communication, healow Genie can answer questions about hours, locations, and balances, manage appointments, and pass along referral and medication refill requests. Practices can adjust healow Genie's settings to decide what inquiries need to be escalated to a human agent. When a patient's question is complicated and might require a more in-depth answer or conversation with a medical provider, healow Genie escalates it to a human agent. The tool uses smart actions to route patients' inquiries to human agents who can engage with the caller, whether in a voice conversation or a two-way SMS dialogue to meet the needs. healow Genie's after-hours mode can also be used during a lunch hour or on a particularly hectic day. Patients have access to the services needed, and healow Genie routes urgent cases to an on-call provider, records the interaction, and provides the practice with a summary and transcript for follow-up action. Call centers are designed for one-way communication, fielding calls, resolving what they can, and having patients wait for a provider or leave a message. Genie specializes in two-way communication.
