I spent hours asking for some support to determine and fix the problem to no avail. I finally decided to just use Filezilla since I had it already and it was free. I eventually deleted WS\_FTP Pro from my system. Recently re-installed it and it seems to perform normally. That's OK except for the wasted time on a total lack of support.
